  1. That is my guess too, and if it’s true there will be a lot of unhappy people on TBD.
  2. And one of our firsts I am sure.
  3. what exactly is the topic again?
  4. Sorry, should I discuss how long I've been a fan and how much I hate Billy Joe Holbert instead? ?
  5. feel free to start a thread anytime a random thought pops into your head...
  6. I agree wth all of that. Just pointing out that even a "sure thing" like Andrew Luck won't guarantee success for your franchise. No matter how universally praised a QB is coming out of college, there is still risk. That's why you have to take a chance and hope your scouts are right if they see one that they think fits your system.
  7. In my opinion, comparing someone to Andrew Luck these days means an injury risk who may never live up to his enormous potential, which to me means Rosen. Saying a QB is the next Andrew Luck no longer means a sure thing.
  8. These are professional NFL talent evaluators. It is not a “hunch” it is an informed decision.
  9. I disagree and think this is over thinking it. If they evaluate the QB’s and find one they think will fit the system, but believe someone may take him before their pick, then you move up and get him. it doesn’t matter if “draft experts” or fans think he is generational etc. if you believe you found the right one for you, and you can get him, do it. Desperation is moving up to get A quarterback, not THE quarterback.
  10. We are so lucky to have you here to copy the whole post to take up even more space...
  11. Whoever it is PLEASE get the next QB right, we will be in a great position!
  12. Does this mean the Eagles will be re-signing Jordan Matthews?
  13. Someone stated earlier that his ball velocity at the Combine was below 50MPH and therefore speculated that this was an indicator for failure in the NFL.
  14. I disagree that the color of his skin has anything to do with most people’s assessment of him. Most people are siting accuracy issues, low velocity, etc, as issues, not skin color.
  15. Actually he sold all 31 of his Papa John stores, so I think his PJ commercials will be no more. I am sure it had to do with NFL and Papa Johns severing ties. https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/03/07/peyton-manning-papa-johns-franchises-sold
  16. I voted Allen because I think he has the highest ceiling of all of this years QB's. It is ridiculous to compare Allen to Russell, just like it is ridiculous to compare Mayfield to Manziel. Those 2 QB's failed for personal reasons off of the football field, not because they lacked talent. If you make that comparison, ANY of them could fail because of drugs, booze, bad work ethic etc... In my opinion, there is not a single QB in this class who is guaranteed not to be a bust, including Darnold. They all have red flags, and yes, Allen's accuracy is a concern, but IF he can be coached up and improve his mechanics and vision, he has the most upside of the bunch. And yes, I know that is a big if...
  17. I was praying this was not an early April fools joke. The only bad part is that another Hochuli is taking his place. It's like trying to cut the head off of a hydra. THAT is damn funny!
  18. in a heartbeat, but not sure we can get to #2 without spending both 1sts.
  19. Get Allen in the first and Chark in the second. They will combine for 20 TD’s per year. ?
