Cleveland gets called out as quitters this week. The Bills lose three straight AFC East games in lackluster fashion and now know their season is on the line if they lose this home game tonight to the Browns. Either way one team wins and one team will be seen as quitters. So with that, have fun watching the game!

The "Official" Bills MNF gameday thread
1billsfan replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last three games turnover total for Bills... 9 for opponents... 3 Our defense isn't creating any and our offense has been a turnover machine. Forget Quinn, the lights are going to be the brightest on Jauron's defensive gameplan and Edwards' general performance. -
Root of all Bills problems
1billsfan replied to no_no_no...sigh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you're being a little too harsh While Ralph's bungled decisions since firing Butler and hiring Donahoe have been a major hurdle to success, the very nature of the Bills being on a natural downward cycle from the 90's, the lack of money being in one of the smallest markets, trying to lure top free agents and head coaches to a rebuilding team in cold and snowy Buffalo has been major factors as well. It meant that if Buffalo didn't nail the high draft picks and rookie head coach, we were nailed. You are still seeing the effects of being nailed today. It's not all Ralph's fault, he does indeed share the blame but it's a tough go when your penny-wise decisions don't pan out. -
Losman should be our starting QB
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Edwards has sucked the last three weeks which happen to have been the most crucial to our season. He has earned a trip to the bench. I want the Bills to try to win NOW, not three years from now. If someone isn't doing their job or is outright costing us games then put the second stringer in. Try something! If Edwards stinks up the joint on Monday night and Jauron does not pull him at the half then I will even more upset than I am after three straight divisional losses. Hopefully Trent does not suck on monday night. Save the notion that Trent is an untouchable, that's ridiculous. The guy was drafted in the third round, he should be able to handle a trip or two to the bench when he is making game costing turnovers. -

...and DICK JAURON is NOT A BUST????? Does Jauron have his supporters under a vulcan mind control that his record somehow does not reflect his abilities as a head coach? -
Fix running game please

Good to be back in agreement wit you buddy! It's no wonder our offensive players look like deer caught in the headlights. Can you imagine trying to run plays against professional players that know what play you're going run before you do it? The Bills need to relax, open the playbook, tell their QB to audible out of any "bad" plays and into "good" plays. They need to use a few reverses, they need to let Marshawn throw a halfback pass, they need to be "unpredictable". It will get their players mojo back. It will open up the running game since they no longer will know when a run is coming. I know everyone wants to "fix" the running game, but the cold hard fact is that to do that you have to open up the playbook, get creative and the QB needs to audible out of running plays when there is 10 men in the box. Audible, baby audible! Monday night should be very interesting. -
Jauron is not going anywhere
1billsfan replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Ralph Wilson sees his Buffalo Bills team go from a 5-1 record to hell in a handbasket the skids WILL be greased. All he'll need to push him over the edge is the prospect of a fan season ticket revolt. Pure fantasy? Wade Phillips was dumped for far less reasons Dick Jauron would have for termination. I think there's a real possibility that this team ends up with a 6-10 record. Pure fantasy? I wouldn't bet on that. -
THAT has to be one of the most false statements I've ever heard. Exactly HOW are we better off given the pathetic play of the Bills these last three weeks? I've been seeing a team that can't do much of anything which is what we got with both of the Williams and Malarkey teams.

Yes I remember, good times...good times. If only these coaches got their heads out of their butts and realized that opposing defenses and even us "stupid" fans KNOW which plays the Bills are going to run. HEY DICK, THIS IS THE MAIN REASON WHY OUR OFFENSE SUCKS! They really need to show faith in their QBs. They need to let their QBs audible and even call their own plays in the no huddle from time to time. I predict either the Bills win this week or we are all going to hear the Bills players speak out about the coaching. This is the game where the fingers start getting pointed from within if they do lose. Hopefully they won't. -
Mike Smith http://www.nfl.com/teams/coaches?coaType=head&team=ATL John Harbaugh http://www.nfl.com/teams/coaches?coaType=head&team=BAL Tony Sparano http://www.nfl.com/teams/coaches?coaType=head&team=MIA Jim Zorn http://www.nfl.com/teams/coaches?coaType=head&team=WAS ALL rookie head coaches that have turned around losing teams. Two of them with rookie QBs! It's time for the Bills (and you) to WAKE UP and realize that a man who has had 7 out of 8 losing seasons as a head coach will NEVER become a good head coach. DICK JAURONS SUCKS MONKEY BALLS!!!! When will you ever get this?

Losman should be our starting QB
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are clearly full of sh--. Given Trent's nose dive, you probably should rethink your very negative opinion about the prospects of Losman's NFL future. This team is run by a bunch of jackasses and none of us know what Losman will do on another NFL team. One thing Losman has that Trent never will have is a strong arm. We'd probably be better served with that strong arm when the wintery weather hits. -
Losman should be our starting QB
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's see what he does against Cleveland. If he starts throwing bad interceptions I'm all for trying anything and that includes benching him in favor of Losman. I watched his press conference from yesterday and he was laughing and joking with the press. I'm sorry, but I find nothing funny about the seven turnovers he has committed in the last three games against divisional foes. I want the Bills to win more than I care about Edwards' job security. Maybe he was laughing because he likes the game plan. Is that what's been holding him back? Let's see what happens on Monday night. -
Fix running game please
1billsfan replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's because they're usually in 2nd and 3rd and long situations and Trent is standing there in shotgun formation where the Bills pass 100 percent of the time. It's a vicious circle that only good coaching can fix. This isn't rocket science here, yet Jauron and his cohorts make it out to be. In football and especially in the NFL, you try to make the defense pay on every snap of the ball, In Jauron's world "hard work" is all that's needed to make up for the opposing teams knowing what play they are going to run. -

1billsfan replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What I see are teams that have been loading up the box with defenders which has been one of the main factors for our failure at running the ball. Why are they doing this? Because the Buffalo Bills do not audible out of bad playcalls. If Trent is behind the center they key on Marshawn or Freddie because 99.9 percent of the time it's going to be a run. Why don't the Bills audible out of bad play calls and into quick slants or screens? Because they are coached by a freaking moron. One other factor here is that Trent Edwards has failed to make the opposition pay for them loading up of the box. Again, it may have to do with our moron of a head coach telling Edwards to stick with the game plan even though the defense knows EVERY PLAY THAT IS COMING! So you say you want to fix it? Use your audible and make them pay dearly for loading up the box. Then the lanes will miraculously open up for our runningbacks. Until this is done the Bills will NOT have a running game to speak of. Pretty simple stuff, huh? -
You nailed it brotha! Forget these three lackluster seasons with Buffalo, Jauron had a lousy four out of five seasons in Chicago before he ever got here!! JP Losman receives nothing but venum, ridicule and hatred here, while Dick Jauron is still viable and relevant for some insane reason. What exactly is up with this double standard? It is amazing.
-
That would be assuming that everything's fine and dandy with Dick's game planning and game day decisions. You're surely not suggesting that are you? It sucks to say it, but he's a failure and he's ours for another three freaking years. That's downright depressing. If only it were just a GM thing. Like you said before, at least we still have a team to root for. Gotta dig down deep after three straight divisional losses.

This is like comparing Kid Rock's career with Vanilla Ice's. Both of these men are in their late 50's. One of them have had great success in their career and one of them hasn't. It's over for Dick Jauron. He's PROVEN that he's a head coach that is ONLY capable of beating teams that are lesser than his own. Jeff Fisher has PROVEN that he is capable of beating the good teams. THAT'S why their careers are so lop-sided. Dick Jauron is a 58 year old man who has only one winning season in his very long career. He's the only head coach that I know of in NFL history who has been allowed (and very fortunate) to coach as long as he has without a winning record. To still have faith that this man is going to become a good to great coach at this late of stage in his career is to believe that pigs fly. I think that you're still in the denial stage about Dick Jauron. Since you don't believe us fellow Bills fans, by all means go talk to a Bears fan and see what they think of Jauron. The Bills made a big mistake in hiring him. This is now mistake number three following Williams and Malarkey. The Bills would do well to fire Dick Jauron and hire the Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo if they are looking for the next Jeff Fisher.

Who Heard Thurman Thomas Last Night?
1billsfan replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly Thurman! The press conferences and interviews since this team has lost three straight AFC East games are truly amazing with their lack of emotion. The players need to forget their coach and start going off the emotionless script Jauron has them on. It's sad that it takes a former player to say what needs to be said in a public setting. -
Losman should be our starting QB
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Please share why you're ok with our turnover machine named Trent Edwards. Dude has 7 turnovers in the last three games. That sucks any way you cut it. The bad weather is coming and I want the Bills to bench the guy that's killing this team and will kill them even more in the bad weather. The Bills need to do something soon or this 2008 season is indeed lost. Is starting Losman grabbing at straws? Maybe so, but if I were the coach I'd change it up for change sake. I'd go even further, I'd go no-huddle, let Losman call his own plays and tell him to run it if his first read wasn't open. I'd shake a whole lot of things up to at least TRY to create a spark that's been gone for a long time now. -
The Real Problem is Lynch not Edwards
1billsfan replied to StupidNation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last three games... Edwards = 7 turnovers (5 interceptions + 2 fumbles) Lynch = 0 turnovers There's your issue pal. -
Any Team is a reflection of their coach
1billsfan replied to realtruelove's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
DICK JAURON IS FIFTY FREAKING EIGHT YEARS OLD!!! You're talking about men who were ON THE WAY UP the coaching ladder who gained the success because they were very good coaches. Dick Jauron is no longer a young man who is working his way up. He's currently working on his 8TH LOSING SEASON out of 9 in his career as a head coach. I think you guys have battered wife syndrome with this guy. He's a peach no matter what he does. Un-freaking-believable! -
Losman should be our starting QB
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trent Edwards has had 2 touchdowns, 5 interceptions and 2 lost fumbles in the last three games against the Dolphins, Jets and Patriots. What part of these numbers is everyone here not getting? The coaching or bad line doesn't help, but they are not the ones with the ball in their hands on every snap. Time for Edwards to sit and watch Losman given the chance try to save the Bills' season. Edwards is a scared man right now. The Browns can probably smell the fear in Cleveland right now. Sorry guys, call me all the names you want but that's what I'm seeing. -
Losman should be our starting QB
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well I think it's a bit babyish to tell someone to "just go away". Go scratch. Edwards has sucked in these three crucial AFC East games, the weather is about to hit the fan, this team needs to find a game changer and quick. I'd put in Hamden if Losman was looking lousy against the Browns in the first half. Enough of worrying about a player's hurt feelings, time for players to start worrying about their jobs.
