If Palin's so dumb why is it that Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi were ALL wrong about the Iraq war being lost and our troops should be pulled out and brought back home? Those were ALL dumb positions to take. I guarantee you that Palin would have not been for raising the white flag like those three numbskulls. What happened to all of those smarts rattling around in their brains? Were they all having brain farts when they came to that conclusion? Not every rocket scientist is a great leader. To be a great leader you must have both great instincts and decision-making skills. Having an Ivy League education or being an expert in constitutional law does not MAKE a great leader or President.

The Obama kool-aid drinkers and mass media (which of course we all know is a redundant statement) are absolutely petrified of Sara Palin. The anger, bile and vitriol aimed at her is so transparent. The levels it has now reached have now become embarrassing... http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/...atin_palin.html This woman has been a governor for two years and has what, an 85% approval rating? But she somehow is as dumb as a bag of rocks and can't compare to the geniusness of either Obama or Biden. You need to step away from the kool-aid and get some fresh air. I'm sorry, but all a Senator's job entails is talking and voting and in the case of Obama he couldn't even accomplish that 133 times when he was an Illinois Senator. What's scary is the thought of Obama having to actually sit down and work a real job instead of walking up to a podium and giving a speech on the campaign trail which is pretty much all he's done in his political life.

I was watching Fox News today and they had a reporter who has been reporting thoughout the streets of Iraq all week long. This is the kind of stuff you will not find in Obama kool-aid drinking NBC land. The reporter is going around in the streets talking to Iraqis and things there are amazingly normal. He was in a park today asking one of the Iraqis if he wanted the American's out and he laughed and said that he liked the Americans and hoped that they'd stay. He was using terms like "man" and "dude". Call me crazy, but when the going got tough didn't Obama and Harry Reid say that the war was lost and that we needed to bring the troops home immediately? Seems to me that the Republicans were the ones who had the "Muslim" Iraqis backs. I'm a Democrat who's glad that we had guys like McCain who refused to wave the white flag over there. Picking out one stupid person with radical broad brush notions is just plain dumb. There's stupid people on both sides. But as far as I can tell we still have not been attacked since 911, and looks like we have won the war in Iraq. Please don't try to convince people here that the Republicans hate Muslims, they were the ones who still supported fighting for them when things were at their most bleak. BTW, I'm an American first and a Democrat second dude. McCain is the clear choice if we want to keep this country safe the next four years. I could care less if the Europeans hate us, screw them. Ever wonder why Obama no longer talks about Iraq? He was wrong! As for the vote to go to war, given his track record of shifting his views for political reasons he most certainly would have voted for the war if he were a US Senator and not a mere Illinois State Senator at the time. This guy is a politician to the core who holds no real beliefs other than his believing he's the "change" we've all been waiting for. To me he's an empty suit making empty promises that he has no intentions of keeping.

It's hard to get all agitated when your team is leading the division at 5-1. Bottoms up!

Umm, these are the exact same offensive players they had last year. Can you tell me who's new? Jauron should have thrown Steve Fairchild out the door with those game plans in 2007. Let's not get revisionist here, Jauron did in fact hold these guys back last year. It's all water under the bridge, I love how Dick Jauron is coaching this team now.
-
Jauron must have checked my postings this past offseason and decided to change his coaching approach. Seriously, I have absolutely no problems with Dick Jauron anymore. He was big enough to change in that he now seems to trust in his players this season and not hold them back with extremely conservative play-not-to-lose game plans. That was the biggest hurdle for Jauron to overcome. I didn't think he ever could and I'm glad that I was clearly wrong.

I meant from how tepidly they played the game of football last season to this season. It's a drastic change of attitude and execution. To me it's a 180 degree difference. We've certainly have waited a very long time for a team that had a chance, kind of like the one that lost in the music city miracle. But I think this team is different from that one. This team is much more like the young 1988 Bills, than those MCM Bills who we're thrown together in a patchwork fashion.

Powell is a moderate conservative, highly decorated former General who's also a black man who grew up during the tumultuous civil rights movement and probably never thought this day would ever come during his lifetime. I can't fault him for supporting Obama, but he's being less than honest when saying Obama's race didn't have anything to do with his endorsement. Don't ever "buy" what a politician is saying. They are ALL full of crap and responsible for the hole we've dug ourselves. Powell is someone who has a lot of explaining to do in regards to why he sold America's going to war with Iraq. This love of Powell by the democrats is ridiculous considering the anti-war movement was the main reason Obama became the democratic nominee for President.

1. Giants 2. Titans 3. Steelers 4. Cardinals 5. Bills The Bills are not a dominating 5-1 team, nor are they a lucky 5-1 team. They're a workman-like 5-1. It's amazing how quickly they've risen in this league. They still have some room to grow and obviously will need to upgrade a few key positions (C, DE, TE, WLB) next offseason to become a dominating team like those top three. It's apparent to me that they're a team that's built to be good for a long time. Lots of similarities to the Bills circa 1988. Awesome feeling to be a Bills fan!
-
Not to be cynical but let's get back to the reality of this endorsement. Either he's choosing his race over his country OR he no longer believes in the conservative values he's held for 50 years because Barack Obama is a "transformational" candidate. Both reasons are highly suspect. Kind of like that WMD thing. What's weird is that the endorsement of the guy who sold the Iraq War to America has suddenly made the anti-Iraq War messiah so damn humble.

A Few Thoughts About The Game.....
1billsfan replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
HUGE win is right! This is how they used to do it way back when. Right on down to the game clinching defensive plays in the clutch. When was the last time the Buffalo Bills came through in a game that would prove they were the real deal? THAT'S how big this win was! I can't even remember when they won a game like this. Holy crap we've finally got a good team again baby! Let's enjoy this one... -
With political trifecta buddies like Nancy "San Francisco" Pelosi and Harry "we lost the Iraq war" Reid? You'll need more than hope, you'll need a miracle. I'm preparing for a very hard left turn in the country. As for Powell, he's full of it. If this was a lilly-white liberal democratic freshman senator named "Steven" Obama he would certainly NOT be endorsing him. He's so completely full of it when he states that his endorsement is not about Obama's race. Is there any politician out there who can actually tell the truth? I'll be so glad when all this bs ends in a few weeks.
-
This guys got what, 19 tackles and 1 sack this season AFTER the Bills add Marcus Stroud to their defensive line? I'm certainly not sorry if he's not playing, I think whoever plays his position today might just be an upgrade.
-
I believe he's calling you a hypocrite. I'm a democrat who is embarrassed at how low the Democratic party has fallen. They are now led by left radical freaks who say that George Bush blew up the World Trade Center and now proudly wear t-shirts that read "Sarah Palin is a c_nt". It's shameful that you choose only to take offense at the fringe people on the far right. Just sad is right.

I am sorry but I am just not feeling confident

While what you say is of course true, there are some games that, if won, will propel teams to the next level. This happens to be one of them. You need to embrace this aspect, not fear it or get angry over it. -

Like I said, I have no read on this one. Let's hope you're right about that score though! The closer this game gets, the more memories of those big games of yesteryear come flowing back to me. Oh how I wish I was going to this game. The lid's gonna blow if the Bills do win it. -

I said it two weeks ago and I'll say it again...this is the Bills' "bellweather" game for the rest of this season. What's my prognostication? Win it and the new winning era of the Bills has officially begun, ending with them owning the AFC East title. Lose it and the Bills will be scraping and clawing all season long, ending with them losing the AFC title to the Jets and just barely getting into the playoffs with a wildcard birth. Here's to them pulling off the big win and the party train leaving the station around 4:00 pm! BTW, I have no gut feeling on weather they win or lose. But I am happy as hell they're in such a lofty position this week. -
Tuck Rule Strikes Again!
1billsfan replied to billsfanmiami(oh)'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This has been the worst year for NFL officiating. Every week it's a new round of embarrassments. Did anyone see that ridiculous phantom pass interference call against the Lions that handed the Vikings the win? That tuck rule is asinine. -
I think that this game is a VERY big hurdle for the Bills to jump over. They road a nice wave on that four game winning streak, but things have changed now. The Bills were abruptly brought down to earth in Arizona. This team has some serious flaws...weak and slow defensive ends, a center that's flat out bad in both run and pass blocking...those are the two biggies that I see. The other part of this hurdle is the psychological one. They'll be playing a team that's been a big player in the playoffs for a few seasons now who will not be intimidated playing in Buffalo. The Bills are the young upstart that now must "prove" to themselves and the rest of the league that they belong and that four game winning streak was not a fluke. That's a tall order for this team. I think that they can do it of course, but I do have some crepping doubts that they will in fact win the game. This is the tough part of the season and all I can do is hope they will be able to beat the Chargers. If they do this is going to be a HUGE season for the Bills.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-8tNRFNlp4 http://hotair.com/archives/2008/10/06/vide...ers-connection/ That should shed enough light on the fact that the Obama campaign is lying their collective asses off regarding Barack's not knowing who Ayers and his wife were and what they were all about. To me, it's clear that Obama has not been fully vested because of the overly politically correct left mainstream media. There's a very real possibility that Obama is a closet radical.

If only we had Brian Leonard.

Does anyone remember who lost a game 41-17 last season?
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see that Charger game as the "bellweather" game forecasting how our season will end up going. Win it and they make it to 11 wins, lose it and they only get to 9. Thankfully they've got two weeks to prepare. -

Which is why I tipped my hat to Kurt Warner. It wasn't just the lack of a pass rush as to why our defense looked so bad yesterday. Warner was on fire. I think our defense will rebound and end up somewhere in the top ten this season.
