That was a weak cookie cutter answer just like his tired ol' boring coach gives. Time for Trent to be patriotic, time to be part of the plan, time to pay more taxes....sorry...time for Trent to put the bullseye squarely on himself so that his team mates will fight tooth and nail for him and his well being.

Excellent question. The new head coach for this team is Steve Spagnuolo, Defensive Coordinator for the New Your Giants... http://www.giants.com/team/coach.asp?coach_id=10 Coached a bunch of years under Jimmy Johnson the DC in Philly (who's a defensive genius), then went onto unbelievable success with the Giants. We all know how good the Giants defenses have been under his coaching. Did anyone happen to watch last years Superbowl? This coach is exactly what the Buffalo Bills need! New blood, a guy who has the resume to get our defense back on track and into the opposing quaterbacks faces. Let him hire whoever he wants to overhaul the offense (yet again!). Steve Spagnuolo...live it, learn it, chant it.

That someone should be Trent Edwards. So what does Trent Edwards think? ..."The QB gets too much credit when you win and too much blame when you lose". Wrong answer. You take all of the blame Trent. That's what a leader does. Of course it isn't entirely true, but that is what a leader would do in tough times. It's what Kelly did, it's what Favre does, it's what a leader does.

Losman should be our starting QB

You forgot to gird your loins. What's amazing is the lack of accountability in the Bills organization from top to bottom. Look at what happened when Parcells went to the Dolphins, boy has that team perked right up. It's a little thing called fear. Players and coaches need to start worrying about their futures. Yet after the worst three game stretch you could ever imagine, nothing changes at One Bills Drive. The coach continues to give pats on the players' backs, saying how great they are. That's what's amazing. -
Sometimes the best thing to do as a fan is to let them have it with double barrels. My only hope is that this team gets what's coming to them on Monday night if they start sleepwalking against the Browns. I hope the boos are so loud that Ralph is embarrassed enough he'll reconsider Dick Jauron's "extended" future and fire the loser at halftime. I can feel my blood pressure rise when I watch the mind-numbing press conferences. Idiot reporters with their softball questions. Idiot coach scratching his head, avoiding eye contact telling everyone how they have to work harder, get better execution. How these guys are going to be great. Let 'em have it Bills fans! Get all of your frustrations out. Let the world know how you feel about the direction of this team. BTW, this season IS over. I saw it with my own eyes these last three weeks. These guys literally have NO intestinal fortitude. It would have showed up in at least one of their AFC East divisional games and it sadly and pathetically did not. That tells me all I need to know about this team, this coach and how our season turns out.

6-10 I think the only win left for the Bills is against the 49ers.

WHAT'S TO COMPLAIN ABOUT????? THIS IS DICK JAURON'S TEAM!!! HE CHOSE THEM! HIS TEAM JUST QUIT ON HIM THREE CONSECUTIVE WEEKS AGAINST OUR THREE HATED DIVISIONAL RIVALS!!!! Seriously, WH-- THE FU--???? Look at what the Dolphins have done in HALF of a season, and you are still backing Jauron? He is and always will be a loser. He may be a nice guy, but the Bills will never have a winning team with him as our head coach.
-
In just one half of a season, the Miami Dolphins (team with 1 win last season) have past the Buffalo Bills. Thats coaching. That's all on Dick Jauron. These are his players, these are his schemes, these are his gameplans, these are his continued non-adjustments. His team quit on him during the most crucial games of this year.

Losman should be our starting QB

I think the only team the Bills beat the rest of the way is the 49ers. Seriously. This team has proven it has no heart. Add into the mix that Jauron has sent a clear signal to his players that their performance is optional, their jobs are safe no matter what. Just tell him that you're "playing hard" and how good the opposing players are and he'll believe you. If something drastic isn't done, this once promising 5-1 team will finish 6-10. Count on it. -
Losman should be our starting QB

The OL weren't the ones that threw those bad interceptions. They weren't the one's that failed to audible out of bad play calls. I'd put Losman in there and tell him it's time to play street ball. Let him call the plays. If his first read is covered, run for daylight. Plenty of boot legs, trick plays and no huddle offense. When a defense is in run stop mode, throw it. When they're in pass defense mode, run it. Do a 180 in the thought process over at One Bills Drive and see what happens. Players need to start to worrying about their jobs starting with the QB. No one should be untouchable. This is the OL we have, it obviously needs to be fixed, Edwards is already damaged goods, give Losman a shot to save the season. We've lost three divisional games in a roll. We're by far the worst team in our division. It can't get any worse. -
Should the Bills Should Cut a Veteran?

Losman should be our starting QB
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, I'm not kidding. Serious sh-- needs to happen when the 5-1 Buffalo Bills lose three straight games to the Dolphins, Jets and the Brady-less Patriots. Fire the coach, change the quarterback, burn the playbooks and gameplans. sh-- needs to happen. There is no accountability with this team. Everyone is safe. Fans here seem perfectly content with not holding the quarterbacks feet to the fire when he was one of the main reasons we lost these games. Will Losman change things? I don't know. Put Hamden in there if you want. Edwards has sh-- the bed badly with these three divisional losses and this team needs to do something different. Send a message that this team will do whatever it takes to make the playoffs THIS year. NO ONE's job should be safe. Hell, I would have fired Jauron after yesterday's loss. Since that isn't going to happen I would hope that Edwards and the rest of the starters will be put on notice that their jobs hang in the balance with the Cleveland game. Look at how low we've sunk in just three short games. We are the worst team in our division and it's not even close. Yet I get hammered for suggesting a radical change to turn this season around. Sorry buds, but I've had it with Edwards, Jauron and the rest of these counterfeit Bills. Just think about how bad Edwards is going to be when the weather hits...it's freighting. -
They have confidence? Sorry, but I don't follow your line of thinking there. The only confidence they have is the confidence that they are safe with "mr. nice guy" Jauron no matter how badly they play.
-
This is the first time I agree with you. We need to follow the George Costanza mode of doing the "opposite" of what you've been doing. I'd hand the ball to Losman, tell him to call his own plays, tell him we are officially in street ball mode, if his first receiver is covered run for daylight. My two commandments to him would be to NEVER take a loss of yardage and to use EVERY trick play in the book. Let's all face this fact, we are NOT suited to run a conventional offense with the players we have up front.
-
in his press conference... "Let me be brief, that was an awful display of football. I apologize to the owner and the fans of this team. This is not acceptable. If we don't win next week against Cleveland then changes WILL be made. No one's starting job is safe from this point forward. Questions?" ...when reporters start to ask about certain players' jobs being safe, I'd keep repeating "No one". The problem with this team is that no one is held accountable. Mediocrity and failings are shrugged off with the empty words of "we need to play better".

Losman should be our starting QB
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ha ha ha! I'm only hoping that the Bills take a final chance to hit on their 2004 lottery ticket. Edwards has no arm, we know it and the rest of the league knows it. At least there's that very slim hope that Losman dials in his brain with the talent. Anything can happen in this league. This time last year who thought the Giants were going to beat an undefeated Patriots team in the Superbowl? -
Losman should be our starting QB

Tell me these last three AFC East divisional games doesn't give you pause and at least think about benching this guy. There needs to be a consequence for playing that badly against the division. -
Trent has ruined this season with his brilliant consecutive trifecta of losing to the Dolphins, Jets and Patriots. Sorry and no offense pal, but you suck. He's clueless and needs to sit and watch Losman being given his final chance to resurrect his career as a Buffalo Bill. These last three losses are so historically bad for this franchise that I don't think we here at TSW are even fully aware of the magnitude. I know LABillsfan is going to give me flack and plenty of others here, but drastic times call for drastic measures. I think Trent has tossed every last bit of 5-1 cache he had with these last three abysmal games against the AFC East division. It's time to shake things up and put a QB in there that can actually get the ball to #83. If Losman fails, then give the ball to Hamden. I'm done with Edwards. You and your head coach can take a hike.
-
Hells yeah I was!
-
I thought I fired you. Do I need to call security?
-
THAT'S your opening argument as head coach Dick Jauron!!?? Hey Dickie, maybe that's why you suck so bad!! BTW, you're fired.

Dick Jauron Was A Loser In Chicago
1billsfan replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Ralph will be pissed off enough to do it, if his once promising team does go down in flames. If he gets mad enough seeing that his team of highly paid professionals are no longer trying, then Dick Jauron's goose is cooked. We all know that he does in fact get angry and has a boiling point. -
If I owned the team I'd tell Jauron that he's fired if this team ends up with a 8-8 record or worse and to not even think of losing one of these next three games. Who am I kidding, I'd fire Jauron now and hand the keys over to Bobby April. I'd also suggest to April that he give JP a shot if Trent continues his abysmal play.

Dick Jauron Was A Loser In Chicago
1billsfan replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. I was getting lambasted here for my "get rid of this loser Jauron" posts from the end of last season till the beginning of this one. I thought a miracle had happened when he got us to 5-1, it turns out it was a fluke after all. Jauron is a career loser and this season will no doubt be his masterpiece of 8 losing seasons as a head coach. Cookie cutter offense, cookie cutter defense, no emotion shown by him or his team in any of these 3 super-crucial AFC East games. I vote for the Giants defensive coordinator to be our next head coach. I wish Jauron would just admit he's a horrible head coach, step down and hand the reigns over to an interim coach for the rest of the season. -
I'm embarrassed at how the Bills have played
1billsfan replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We lost, I was right ,and no it's not a "win" situation for me. Being a fan of a team doesn't mean that you are blind to HUGE red flags like losing to both AFC East rivals Dolphins and the Jets in consecutive weeks. If there were ever a game that a Bills fan could predict a Buffalo crap sandwich, this one was it. This team is stupid, has no heart and is a 53 man roster full of wimpy players and coaches who haven't a clue what it takes to win the tough games. What an embarrassing and feeble bunch we root for.
