Before the season you thought that? Honestly? one of friends was talking him up in the preseason but I never really saw him in college and he’s kinda small.

I’m going to keep talking Aimee! Stroud is amazing. This is the most impressive turnaround in the nfl. Ryans is awesome too. this is like the Bills in Allen’s second year. Good times.

Very fair point. But a couple of things 1 - stroud is having a better rookie season 2 - I think he is a much more physically gifted qb than Baker. Baker has the heart but a Ryan Fitzpatrick arm. the fact that he is doing it mainly with his arm really impresses me. I think he is very legit. What do you think?

My point is that if a rookie can do this with a team picked to win 3 games, maybe surrounding cast (Diggs, Kincaid, Cook, a much improved oline, Davis) isnt some boulder holding Allen back. And with Allen making 40% of the cap, it’s going to be on him more than ever.

I like Maye too but I’m going to laugh if some time takes him over Williams. Williams has some douche qualities but he is such a better qb and had to score 40 points/ game to keep them competitive. it will be the Tribusky Mahomes thing all over again

Because they got an awesome qb. Do you think if they had Pickett you would see that? Stroud threw 86 tds in 2 years in college. Guys a baller who had a test and OSU held against him.

I just think there’s some narrative that we have bums surrounding Allen. I would love to have a poll who would have traded Davis for a Texans receivers before the season. and it’s no knock against Allen. I just think it’s pretty special what Steoud is doing on a team that was complete garbage the last few years. And he’s doing it with his arm so it seems legit. we’ll see.

I watched him in college. Never impressed. He was older, too much muscle (I think that is a legit problem for qbs), and very inconsistent. he was like a poor man’s Allen. And Allen is the ultimate unicorn. I would be shocked if he becomes anything more than a backup

Huh? I said some people complain about how bad Allen’s surrounding cast is and not a single person wanted a Texans skill player before the season. with all due respect, you’re making up arguments. Never said he was better than Allen (who is a top 3 qb and said Stroud might be top 5, though it is insanely earlier I know). the Texans were picked to win like 3 games. Stroud is a legit MVP. It’s nothing against Allen. And our surrounding cast isn’t that bad either.

I hated him in the draft but he light up in his first start. Hasn’t done a thing since. Josh Allen being a unicorn is going to get a lot of not good qbs drafted higher than they should.

It was more of a point of how good Newton was at one point and some folks here loved hating on him.

EJ has him as his OC and qb coach which he never did at the nfl. EJ probably wasn’t good enough but they did him no favors.

I mean he threw 85 tds and 12 ints in 2 years in college so he was really really good.

He honestly might be top 5. Everyone cries about Allen’s lack of weapons and literally no one thought anything about his WRs before the season. there are system dependent qbs (Purdy, Russell Wilson) and then there are qbs who are talent evaluators. He looks to be one of those guy and they are rare.

For all the folks who bemoan Allen’s “lack” of a surrounding cast, explain CJ Stroud’s success.

I think Lee Evans would have been amazing with Allen. But I give the nod to Moulds. He was the most complete receiver and didn’t have the qb play. Diggs plays in the easiest era ever for WRs and get to play with Allen. Moulds and Evans would be so amazing with Allen. that said, did any teammates go to his birthday party??? 👀

O line stuff is so boring to me but I having noticed him once this year and I believe that is a great thing. Seems like a very solid pick.

You are having temper tantrums because some posters, who have all said Allen is a top 3, rightly have said Allen gets loose with ball and the bills aren’t this tire fire around him that you make them out to be. And instead of saying yeah Allen could be a little more careful with the ball at times, your response is “you hate Josh Allen.” It’s weird. Why do you hate Josh Allen???

So I guess you’re not 🙄 I’m disappointed. You are a doctor. you do realize that points can occur in many different ways - turnovers, special teams, turnovers that put the defense, etc. to blindly use points is pretty stupid. but again, I’m sure the Bears having the biggest defensive turn around in the nfl has nothing to do with getting a new MLB. 🙄😉
