  1. ? and just because I’m skeptical doesn’t mean I hope I’m wrong on everything I doubt.
  2. You agreed with me all the time when I was irrational homer! ?
  3. I’m not sure about this Gunner. Think about what Gailey did with Fitz (7th rounder journeyman), SJ (7th rounder), FJax, Nelson, Chandler, and Donald Jones. Those were some very creative and fun offensive teams. There was a ton more talent with Marrone in Buffalo and Jacksonville. If Gailey has those teams and DCs, I think he is much more successful than Marrone IMO.
  4. You have a bad memory Doc. He got roasted on here any time he gave up a catch. I think Gilmore and White are really good cbs. People hated Gilmore because he didn’t smile when he was drafted and was quiet. White is more out going so he is liked more.
  5. It’s cult like if you don’t agree with the majority. There was nothing rooting wrong with your criticism and non Bills fans would say the same. You didn’t say Allen sucked or couldn’t improve. Everyone is so sensitive.
  6. Fair but there were many fans who didn’t think he was any good here. That’s fair. It’s so close and subjective. Like I looked At the all pro teams and had no idea Kyle Fuller made it.
  7. White is very good but he didn’t even make an all pro or a pro bowl. I think we are getting a little ahead of ourselves. I bet the team feels the same way if they were to negotiate a contract.
  8. There are some very whiny blue collar people out there who complain about everything and everyone. There are white collar people who do what you describe blue collar people as. I would bet bet a lot of people would say Brady and Rodgers are white collar. But those dudes were completely overlooked and worked their butts off to get where they are at.
  9. I think the most amazing accomplishment of RI’s career is not getting popped for PEDs. I’m actually impressed he passes his tests.
  10. As a Mets fan, I agree on Cespedes. But that’s with guaranteed contracts. Also, it’s way easier to coast as a baseball player. If you do that in football, you can end up in a hospital.
  11. So sick of the term blue collar. I think it’s a subtle put down. They do with Buffalo a lot and it’s residents. You aren’t super smart or talented, you just work hard. Like there are no other type of people in Buffalo or that “white collar” people don’t work hard. and to make the nfl, you have to work your @ss off. Very few dudes are so talented that can coast to make it to the league. How many Bills players have been recently who’s problem was not working hard enough as opposed to just not being good enough? The foundation of the rosters for the last 18 years is hard working guys who just aren’t good enough.
  12. I wanted Evans who went before us. But Sammy was far and away the best receiver and one of the best college receivers I have ever seen. Matt Ryan isn’t Matt Ryan without Julio (Sammy and Julio has similar numbers after 3 years). So it worked out for the Falcons and not us. But they were essentially the same gamble.
  13. He started every game for the worst defense in the nfl. His only skill is cheap shots. He had one of the greatest starts of any Bills rookie I can remember and has been an average to below average player since. McCoy is fading (they could have traded him and gotten some value for him a few years ago) but he is a borderline HOFer.
  14. Yup. I prefer the calmness of politics.
  15. Well, they tried it for EJ. Obviously it was the wrong move. I generally agree you don’t trade up for a non qb in the draft but Sammy was one of the best college receivers I have ever seen. I do like that he went all in for his qb. I won’t hate if we went all in for a stud for Allen to throw to now (Antonio Brown). and Kiko has sucked for the last 5 years. That trade was a flat out robbery.
  16. Agreed but you also need elite talent. McCoy was kinda of scumbag when he got here. Kelly, Thurman, Bruce, etc we’re far from choirboys. The Cowboys of the 90s. I think the saying was you can one a hole but you don’t want to get too many so they end up hanging out with each other. Coughlin hates everything.
  17. Agree but are teams always professional about cutting players? Different sport by the Celts traded Isiash Thomas after he came back early from an injury and his sister dying instead of giving him a contract extension. I do Think Jalen is a douche but this might be calculated as well. Maybe he hopes they trade him (and they will have no problem doing so).
  18. Well that plus he’s turning 30, coming off an injury, and production was slipping. He will sign with someone but I assume it will be at a lower value.
  19. Interesting idea but I think divisions matter more in football than other sports. It actually means something to win a division.
  20. Deion Sanders. Antonio Brown. There are tons of examples of this. When your contract isn’t guaranteed , in a sport where they cut you in a second if you slip, and a career can end on a single play, you should get every cent possible. I won’t be shocked if Tre White asks for a new contract after this year. and Ramsey May be a d bag but he will get paid one way or another.
  21. There’s a reason older vets get released in the NFL.
  22. He also traded Kelvin Sheppard for Jerry Hughes and an injured Kiko for Lesean McCoy, 2 of the key players on the team still. And I do think there is a double standard here with elevating the current regime - the Benjamin trade for 2 draft picks, trading up for Zay, and trading up Edmunds (who I like but it still is a non QBs). Also the real real test will be is when we have to pay White and some of these young players. Everyone says how bad the Dareus contract was but he got paid because he was an all pro and one of the best young DTs in the game. Mario was an elite player here for a few years. Right now, we don’t have many elite players so of course the team cap is good shape.
  23. PTR, with all due respect, you’ve been predicting the Pats downfall for the last 15 years. Where would you have Brady ranked? Under Allen, I assume? and boston media is some of the worst in the world. They are same idiots that say the dynasty is over when the Pats lose a game in regular season.
  24. Yet, we have the same exact record after 2 years. And we just paid Star, a one dimension player, and Murphy who had one good season, injury issues and PEDs issues.
