ESPN FUTURE POWER RANKINGS NEXT 3 YEARS BILLS #14
C.Biscuit97 replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some of you are so sensitive. We are the 2018 Bears. Qb was the far from the reason we won games. They ranked us as a top 10 roster with a top 10 coach. If Allen was Newton or Jackson (MVPs who this board thinks are overrated), some posters would say he was a good athlete playing qb. Is it really that shocking that more non Bills fans aren’t sold on a guy who has completed 56.3% of passes and averages 184.4 passing yards per game after completing 56% of passes at Wyoming? He would be trashed if he was on another team. Some of you trash MVPs. the bright side to this is if Allen does take the next step, the sky is the limit. But right now, he is the weak point on a very strong team. But hopefully, the excuses are done for the highest drafted qb in franchise history. Is he Brady, Wilson, or Big Ben or Bortles, Sanchez, Tribusky? ❄️ See this is the part where QBs get way too much credit. He was very solid to good against Dallas who proved to be frauds (maybe his Best all around game given it was in a prime time). But seriously with Pittsburgh??? He 13-25 for 139 yards, 1 td, 1 int, and 1 rushing td. Defense and Duck were the main reasons for that win. I think the issue is rushing isn’t a substantial thing for a qb. Too risky. You need to win with your arm long term. Look at Cam Newton. -
Patrick Mahomes challenges Josh Allen to a throw off
C.Biscuit97 replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen wins this; KC questions mahomes and his contract, they trade Allen for Mahomes (and add some picks because we are taking on his contract), and we end up with Mahomes and White from the 2017 draft! 4D chess -
Huh? He caught 39 passes and had 0 tds in 3 years in a pass happy offense. Very good athlete, extremely raw TE. His hands are absolutely a concern. So when I played receiver, I’d much rather have a contested catch than the wide open easy one. As others have said, you just concentrate better.

Washington Redskins: 15 women claim sexual harassment
C.Biscuit97 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Except much better looking and without the Shrunken roid testicles. Yeah, anyone who thinks that is ok is probably super creepy. Like posting up by the women’s bathroom trying to buy them drinks as they leave. But they have no problem telling me they hated my shirt! -
Good point. I also think the issue is DTs are such big guys, they struggle to stay in proper shape. Most DEs are specimens. A lot of DTs after they get paid start sucking. It all comes down to Allen. Last year, this team could make the playoffs with below to average qb play. This year, I don’t know if that’s the case. This team has a playoff roster. If Allen is legit, they have a SB team.

Washington Redskins: 15 women claim sexual harassment
C.Biscuit97 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man, there are some real creeps on this board. It’s like some of you have never interacted with a female before. Yikes. the crazy part is I could get away with this stuff because I’m handsome but even I know what the boundaries are. Like i definitely get sexually harassed on a daily basis at work but I just suck it up. ? Women tell me they love being called sweetheart or sweetie. They also love it when I tell them to calm down, you’re overreacting, and relax when they get upset. Just some tips to help you guys out. ? -
I actually heard a good point that a great DT could be more valuable than a great DE. You can do things a lot easier to neutralize a really good DE (multiple blockers, RPOs, bootlegs away, chipping, etc). Obviously you can double a DT but it opens up huge gaps in your protection or run game. And qbs really struggle with pressure up the middle. You like Poyer than Hyde? I like both players al it but I think Hyde is the better all around player. Poyer, who is really good, had some struggles in run support and gave up some plays in the pass game. We’re nitpicking but if you had to make a choice, I go with Micah.
-
Oh for sure. But Henry is so much better than Tannehill. But as you said, it’s the position.
-
Something is wrong with the league that Henry makes like $20 million less than Ryan “best skill is handing off the ball to Henry” Tannehill. RBs should protest game 1 of the season. No position gets screwed more than them.

Am I the only one sick of the DAK
C.Biscuit97 replied to Behindenemylines's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I had to bet right now, I would bet big money in Allen never having a season passing like Dak just had. So would most Non Bills fan. doesn’t mean Allen is bad but rather that Dak has become underrated. -

I don’t disagree at all about the potential. But how many super talented qbs come into the league that never amount to anything. IMO, and qb is so hard to evaluate, but you look for the combination of physical/ mental gifts and production in the field. I wasn’t high on Allen because I think guys who are going to be stars have more flashes of dominant play. I seen flashes of great plays but it’s so inconsistent. Then if you go back to college with low level competition, Allen really didn’t blow the conference away like I think a top 10 pick should. then you have a guy like Dak, with less physical gifts, who elevates ones of the crappiest programs in the worst conference (and there wasn’t a tough of good offensive talent surrounding him). Then he goes to the pros and has about a good of a start to a career as almost any qb. This is crazy but maybe the guy is just good. I get that we’re Bills fans so there is going to be some homer takes but there is zero consistency in qb evaluations. Lamar, who has won a Heisman and MVP by age 23, isn’t really that good. Cam, Heisman, MVP, SB, wasn’t really that good. But Allen, with by far the worst resume of any of those guys, is going to be a star. It makes no sense. -

Physically, Allen is a better prospect. But at quarterback, it’s takes more than that. Allen, at this point, isn’t a better qb and never has been. So it’s kinda crazy to hear Bills fans put Dak down while pumping up our own guy. put it this way. I think the Bills go at 12-4 with Dak last year. -

See this hypothetical blows my mind. Of course as a Bills fan, I want Allen to be better. But how can anyone say he has higher potential? Allen wasn’t even dominant in the MWC. Dak took a garbage program in the best conference in college stats and made them in a good team. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/dak-prescott-1.html I really like Allen‘S skills and attitude but he has never better on any level than Dak. It’s just facts. Everything with Allen is blind hope based. We would kill to have Allen become the passer Dak is. Yet, he’s not that good on this board. Absolutely insane. -

This board is hilarious on their qb takes. Allen is a rising star. Lamar Jackson, Cam Newton, and Dak Prescott aren’t they good though. if this was Allen’s stat line, We would want to pay him $50 million/ season. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/P/PresDa01.htm -
New Era name to be dropped from Stadium

Given the times, maybe honor a great African American former Bill by the name of OJ. -
Lou Saban, what a great job he's done.

Trump’s whole life is mocking people. He is that “bully” who loves to dish to it out but cries like a little baby when it comes back at him. He is a terribly insecure man who is one of the worst “leaders”in human history. He doesn’t make any attempts to try and unify this country. I think both parties are a joke and it’s hilarious how people get worked up about their side. But it blows my mind that human beings can still support Trump. And the people who support him the hardest are people he would be disgusted by if they came to his hotel and properties. Dick Jauron is a better leader, -
I Men’s obviously I hope you’re right. A huge difference is Lorax didn’t have the wear and tear of a guy normally his age because he was mainly a special teamer. lorax getting 12.5 sacks at age 33 after having 9 career ones is the Tom Brady in the 6th round. It’s a freak situation. Agreed. Phillips got the flashy numbers but wasn’t a great all around player. Imo, Lawson is the better all around player.

Michael Lombardi hints Dareus to the Patriots

I won’t bet on it either. I guess it’s like if he really wanted to do it, there couldn’t be a better opportunity than NE. That 2014 year was some of the best play I’ve seen from a DT not named Aaron Donald, who is in another stratosphere. Better than Da’Rick and his career 197 yards. Great post. Honestly for a guy like him, he peaked career wise at Bama. Won a national championship for his home college. You’re right many guys don’t love football and it’s a 9-5 for them like us. Plus playing for the Bills then, it had to be a huge step down from Alabama, he was a big part of Jacksonville making that SB run when he got traded there, -

Come on silly. I’m talking about Lou Saban, the Auburn coach, where Dareus went to school. -

Good post. Based on his last few years, I won’t bet on him but it’s zero risk. but I think there is a lot of hindsight with Dareus. He was a 24 year old all pro who was on a similar sack pace to Warren Sapp through his first couple of years. Imo, the deaths and his work ethic caught up to him. I also freely admit I give a guy like him more slack because I genuinely think he’s a good guy who’s been through a lot and has made silly decisions. But I wish him well. Haha, still can’t take your loss over the Hogan thing, can you Kirby? I think this is the year D’Rick puts it all together and breaks out. ? -

Gotcha. He was a beast. It’s a shame. Personally, I’ll ride for that guy. I want to see him prove himself because imo, he wasn’t a bad guy. He had more death happen to him than anyone I can remember. I lost a couple people recently and it can really eat at you. He got lazy And made some mistakes but he never seemed malicious. -
They just put all their resources into defense. It’s better to have young, cheap guys than overpaid ones. KC is going to be really good for a long time. Good for their fans. Excellent point. It’s like the Colts d during the Manning years was based on pass rushers. If they got the lead, their guys could tee off and put the game away. it’s why I’m starting to hate the Allen comeback stat. Against crappy teams, you step in their throats, get a lead, and put them away before the 4th quarter. A good offense can really help a defense. It’s also makes what our D has done the last 2 years even more impressive because they rarely play with Big leads.
