Bengals and Burrow agree on 4 yr 36.1 million deal
C.Biscuit97 replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You aren’t that smart are you? In a 6 page thread (6 pages - what outrage!!!), I posted that it’s a joke fans are fine with drafting Mixon yet fake Captain Americas lose their mind over a guy protesting. so to recap, women beater = 6 pages, zero snowflakes threatening to quit watching. Silent protest = 100 page threads, a million temper tantrums to quit watching the nfl. They didn’t win a game. Not sure what the point is. In 2015, they might have been the best team in the nfl and Dalton got hurt, -

That’s a very fair concern. Plus, LSU was absolutely loaded last year. Love the dude’s moxie. He seems to have it but as you said, he’s not an all time type prospect. I think Tua would have gone number 1 if not for the injury. -
I will say this. For as much as criticism Allen, it has zero to do with his toughness. He definitely is a guy you would want to go war with. Basically, he the exact opposite of Orton the Coward. Yeah, I won’t say injury prone yet. But it’s like With Cam and Big Ben. These guys fight to make every play great but ultimately, no matter how big and bad you are, those hits add up. It sucks because you don’t want to coach the warrior part out of them but you won’t last in the league with that style.

I think this is kinda of outdated knock against the Bengals. They were loaded for a few years. They have a really good receiving core of AJ can stay healthy (big if) and they have the woman puncher at RB (missed the outrage when he got drafted). They have a really good foundation for a young qb. -

Star and Murphy have been their only bad moves on defense. They been great otherwise. now offense is a much different story. -
The other thing with this is no one knows the long term effects either. Everyone is like you get it and you’re fine but there have been some long term effects tied to lung issues. It reminds me how safe they say MMA is but it’s because they don’t have long term effects yet to go by. I met Chuck Liddell several times, CTE is going to be a big issue for that sport.

The Colts o line is pretty awesome though. But you might be right. I didn’t watch a lot of Rivers last year. I’m just excited for the Colts to be down by 20 points, Rivers to throw 2 td passes, and then throw an int at the 10 yard line to lose the game. also, this guy was on the Ryen Russillo podcast discussing the list. Josh Allen talk was at the 55 minute mark I believe. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-ryen-russillo-podcast/id1433966613?i=1000486363597

That was a great Primetime interview. First time I genuinely liked him. Must be the money is an underrated song too. -

Me hearing this news. but I wish him well. Congrats on stealing a lot of money to average 18 tackles a year. -
Actually great point. Wins are stupid for qbs. Especially when Dak got 8 and led an offense that averaged 27 points/ game while Allen got 10 with an offense that averaged 19. and for the record, if Allen had Dak’s passing numbers, you were hear zero criticism from me. That’s why it’s idiotic that some prop Allen up while putting guys like Dak and Lamar down. It is insane. Pat Mahomes “lost” a game where he led the offense to 51 points. Allen “won” a game where we scored 14. It’s a pretty dumb stat.

Good thing is there is strong leadership at the top to get all of this in check.

To recap. You get super sensitive anyone says a negative word about Allen. but guys like Watson (career 256 passing yards per game, 67%, 71 passing tds to 21 ints, 101 rating and 14 rushing tds) and Dak, you’re not high on. you realize how insanely hypocritical you are coming across right? Watson won that game in the 2nd half and had his team beating the SB champs (only 388 passing yards and 2 tds) before the defense melted down. Saying Watson isn’t really good is a really dumb take.
