Have to admit this game was the first time I saw Allen and I was shocked he was considered a 1st rounder. It was a rough watch.

Diggs is a good player but since the Bills acquired him, he has become Jerry Rice. Eclipsed 1,000 yards twice (once barely) and never had double digit tds. That isn’t close to a top 10 resume. The Bills are a better team for sure with him but I doubt these arguments would be being had if he was in Minny. And Mike Thomas is good but he gets overrated. He’s a slant machine who doesn’t stretch the field and never had double digits tds. Perfect fantasy guy because he’s so consistent but there are better guys than him. He’s in a perfect situation. He averages 11 ypc.

I would still love it. It could be Friday night Tykes (great show) playing as nfl teams and I’d watch. Any excuse to drink, eat unhealthy, and gamble is fine by me. but seriously, I think high school and younger will become much more 7 on 7 heavy. No need to risk serious injury at a young age.

That might have been SD’s best game of his career. its word to say but Allen is in a better situation than Darnold. Plus, he lost a bunch of games due to mono. I’m not saying he is better than Allen. But do I think if Darnold was our qb last year would we make the playoffs? Absolutely.

If Josh Allen throws for nearly 5,000 yards and accounts for 33 tds, you will disappointed??? good to know where the bar is set for Allen I guess.

These posts confuse me. Win loss records for qbs is a terrible way to judge things but Dak has a 40-24 record. He has the only Dallas playoff win in 20 years. He has a 97 qb rating for his career. I pray Allen becomes this overrated. Ben, if healthy is top 10. I think Ryan is the better Matt. Don’t believe in Carr. But it’s fairly fine. Allen isn’t on this level yet.

I hope I have egg on my face too. Trust me, it’s not personal. I actually have really grown to like him as a good. He has all the ability in the world. I just don’t think it’s that easy to be a dominant nfl QB, especially when you have shown little evidence of dominating on any level. A top 7 pick should have had some really dominant games in college. Especially in that conference. but seriously, nothing would make me happier than Allen becoming the man. He is in an absolutely great situation. There are no excuses this year.

I do see your point to an extent. But Julian Edelman, one of the few Jewish players, hasn’t said anything. And I feel most players think Jackson is an idiot. But I do see your point. but I guess, for better or worse, people tend to stick to the issues that affect them. When something happens to a trans person, do you expect Sammy Watkins to call them out? And again, it seems athletes are held to higher standards than politicians (unless they can use it to pander to their base). A white guy calling someone the n word in a sport where the majority of players are black? How would that not matter? and he kept his job and I’m sure a certain part of the fanbase was very happy with that.

What qb had a worse college resume of a 1st round draft pick than Allen did (in the last 7 years because football is completely different now)? Honestly, I can’t think of one. My concern since he was drafted was we want him to be a better player in the nfl than in the MWC. That seems an extremely risky bet. Imo, the team is good enough that we made the playoffs with C level qb play. I don’t want C level qb play from the highest drafted qb in franchise history. this year, hopefully, I don’t want to hear about 4th quarter comebacks. I want Allen to light it up in the first 3 quarters so it’s a blowout in the 4th.
