After the Detroit game, they changed things up, became more run oriented. I get why they did that, especially since the division was wrapped and the 2 seed was looking inevitable. Josh didn't have to do much. I dunno, it felt like a long layoff between having to play high level QB. I didn't think the Bills played all that great in the Denver game yet we blew them out late. I did not think Josh threw the ball well vs Baltimore. He came out last night nervous as hell. He seemed to be getting his mojo back in the late first half and second half last night. Then the failed 4th and 1 looking to build the lead. That hurt bad. and the Kincaid drop on an amazing throw was just the last straw,

The back shoulder fade or whatever is not even a pass that Allen specializes in,,, is it?? Our guy is not a finesse thrower of the football.

I was happy we beat Denver and Baltimore of course,,, but during the games i didn't feel the joy of watching sports...i just feel nervous and anxious during the games until they are either a blowout in our favor or the clock shows 0:00. Same as last night. It shouldn't be that way but it's the expectations of either win it all or failure. Sometimes i turn my head away or look at my phone while listening to the call on TV.

Kincaid, Keon and Cooper are on my sh*t list. Just not good enough at all in the biggest game. Meanwhile KC's role receivers are making plays all over the place.

Ravens Fans Match Andrews Love For Kincaid! - WITH LINK
zow2 replied to BillsDiehard's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nice. But unless Bills fans are stepping in to supplement the donations,, i hope Camp Puzzle Peace has a good use for the couple hundred bucks that will come from Ravens fans. -
Allen could have walked that ball down there and flipped the ball into Dalton Kincaids outstretched hands from 5 yards away. It was not a hard catch. I mean it was incredible to get that pass off and put it right there where no KC player was standing. SMH.
-
The fact that Kincaid slaps his head, you know he feels it should have been caught. It would have looked like a great play on replay but honestly it was not that hard of a catch. A hard catch would be what Xavier Worthy did earlier in the game. Also noticeable on that play is what an insane throw that was by Allen and that throwing it to Shakir seems good on paper but i can't see how he could've thrown that ball to his left. The pressure was on him instantly. I don't think he could have made that pass to Shakir.

The stubbornness to continually run the QB sneak....
zow2 replied to Matt_In_NH's topic in The Stadium Wall
Matt Hasselback was comparing Buffalo's tush push to Philadelphia's. He said the Bills were so predictable and did a terrible job last night. He broke down the formations and exactly what they did. What a terrible coaching job by the Bills in preparation for last night. -
Yep. I'd bet if they simulated this in a scrimmage any of the TE's and WR's would make that catch 9 out of 10,,, maybe 10 for 10. The degree of difficulty was certainly harder than Mark Andrews drop a week ago, but this is a flat out drop for an NFL receiver. Just terrible in the biggest moment of the season.

Bruh, catch the ball. it’s right there served up for you.

He probably feels cursed,,, not for playing in Buffalo specifically but for being in the AFC conference in the Mahomes/Reid era. Just bad timing. Allen is way better than Hurts and Purdy and those guys have SB appearances. 13 seconds hurt worse than this by a mile. I felt like the SB was ripped away like Lucy pulling the football from Charlie Brown. This year we lost on our own terms, and to some extent last season too. We had the ball late in the games to score a TD and take the lead. Mahomes has done it, we don't. That's who we are.

Finally went out and got a haircut this morning, lol. Was holding out till the playoff run was over. Will get a chance to watch some Netflix shows i've been saving for the offseason.

Still cracks me up that we gave Mahomes to the Chiefs
zow2 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't look at it that we "gave" Mahomes to KC. Reason is we were never drafting him. The Bills would've made their pick (not for Pat), the Chiefs may have traded with the next team and gotten him. -
We took the talent on offense and D and eeeked out every last ounce of success from it. When we opened the season with Damar Hamlin as the starter and relying on guys like Keon, Samuel, Hollins as receivers. I was like this is going to be a 9-10 win season if we're lucky. They overachieved. It hurts, but we would not match up with Philadelphia. We would have been 0-5 in Super Bowls. KC matches up with the Eagles better.

1/26/25 GAMEDAY AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME Bills @ Chiefs Post Game Thread
zow2 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cowherd had a good opening monologue on the Bills game. Made some valid points. I won't articulate all the points he made... but the essence was that the Chiefs are liberated in high pressure playoff games. They don't get conservative, they get more aggressive...Mahomes runs too which he dials back in the regular season. He feels the Bills are very very close to KC, but they shrink in the pressure, get more conservative, and even if it's shrinking by a tiny margin it's enough. And of course the coaching by Reid and Spags is not matched on our side. -
I’m wounded.
-
Kincaid needed to make that catch on a hero pass. We so desperately needed one of the receivers to make a huge play and he failed. I blame him directly just like Ravens fans blamed Andrews last week. Fail.

You have the wrong owner if you want a coaching change. This is a man who own an NHL team...who changes coaches all the time and he sees the longest drought in NHL history. On the other side he has one of the winningest coaches ever and they make the playoffs every year,,,i don't think this owner is making drastic changes. He's traumatized from the hockey team and won't mess with the Bills.

1/26/25 GAMEDAY AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME Bills @ Chiefs Post Game Thread
zow2 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chiefs kick it into another gear in the playoffs... it's pretty obvious, both players and coaches go next level. Mahomes doesn't even use his legs in the regular season...doesn't expose himself much, and then in Jan/Feb he is a gazelle out there. I thought Allen would be the one to do that. For the rest of this Mahomes/Reid era I will not give a crap if we beat them in the regular season. Means nothing unless we can beat them when it matters. -

Bills knew Spags had pulled all safeties in and was bringing the blitz on just about every play...I thought the best way to beat this was to roll Allen out and he either scrambles, passes to a RB ahead of him or hits a wideout about 10 yds deep or on a crosser...but those repeated up the gut run calls or keepers sealed their doom...poor play calling and a waste of Josh Allen's talents. If you watch KC playoff games, you know they are aggressive especially with the game on the line. We were not. -

We just wasted so much time in the first Qtr and half the 2nd trying to figure out how to stop KC and how to move the ball on them. We were clearly outcoached for a while and that sucks. I thought our staff was better than that, but again, Mahomes will make plays no matter what. The Bills could have had 5 giveaways in that game and didn't have any, so that was pretty lucky in our favor too. -
Josh didn't play his best game but he did not choke. Things were coming together in the 2nd half but KC's superior defense just made plays at the end. As the season was down the stretch and even in those first two playoff games, it became really apparent how our receivers and tight ends were not getting open much. Shakir is special, Hollins overachieved for sure... the rest were just meh. I heard an interview with Jesse Palmer a few weeks ago, who mentored Josh in the past. He said he actually called Allen and told him to stop throwing on the sidelines and landing on his right shoulder, exposing it to injury. Jesse explained it's going to take a couple years off his career and really wants Allen to stop taking those risky hits specifically on his right shoulder. I did find it a bit odd that in his earlier years, Josh would take off and run and really do damage with his legs. Now he scrambles to the sidelines and try's to make a ridiculous low% throw, which he sometimes completes. But a bit more scrambling and getting rush yards last night may have made the difference.

Just some thoughts before I log off for a while...
zow2 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep, Allen is fine and still has some good years left. I mean he's better than Hurts and now Hurts has two Super Bowl appearances. It's just the life of being in the same era as Mahomes. He's denying a lot of other QB's. -
The guy is like 8 feet tall, can he ever knock down a Mahomes pass?!?

In some ways, this is worse than the drought in my opinion
zow2 replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is still better than the drought. I mean look at some of us who are Sabres fans. That's to the point i don't even watch any hockey anymore. The sport has been ruined by a drought. I haven't thought about the actual opening of it much, but I am getting pumped about the new stadium. I think we need something fresh and uplifting. Like a new beginning while still having a good, competitive team. That first season in the new place will be a lot of fun.
