  1. If the Bills come out in shotgun on the first drive and try to get cute and pass and go 3 and out I'll lose my mind lol. This will be ground and pound, I can see a lot of Murray and Fournette, the snow will be piling up on the field. Maybe some dump offs to Cook where he can make dudes miss.
  2. Were supposed to have an advantage in "our" weather and in our stadium. Run the ball better, scramble better, play D better, punt better and win the turnover margin.
  3. I don't know if Ty Johnson is concussed or what his deal is, but if he's out I'd have Fournette and Murray active, along with Cook and Gilliam.
  4. The lake effect forecast appears to be getting worse and I'm sure the NFL is keeping an eye on this along with input from the Bills and Erie County. The rumor about Cleveland was denied yesterday but where there's smoke there's usually fire. They can't have 60-70K people risking their lives on state roads getting in and then somehow getting home safely. I think Cleveland being floated out there makes some sense in that both Buffalo and Pittsburgh can saddle up pretty quickly, last minute, to get over there. They may hold off on any decision to move until Saturday, which seems kind of nuts but they just don't know where the squall line will set up.
  5. Wasn't Washington FedEx field on the table last season when it ultimately got moved to Detroit? Sunny and 42 on Sunday...windy but not crazy. Seems like a decent option over Cleveland but mainly because i could attend. Monday's weather looks terrible from what i see. Colder...highs in the teens, still windy and heavy Lake effect snow still in play.
  6. I love how the bullseye of the heaviest predicted accumulation is right over the stadium. ugh. It's gonna be a wild and weird game. I'm sure the national audience will enjoy the weather scenes but we're going to be nervous as hell.
  7. Yeah, but if Josh thinks he can out throw 30mph winds and 43 gusts he needs to check his ego at the door. lol. A frozen ball being thrown at 90mph to a guy 7 yards in front of him in snowfall/wind will not be real catchable. This game will be all about who can play better D, run the ball more effectively and make a special teams play or two that hurts the other team. Whichever teams gets more takeaways is likely to win. In my opinion the better team going in, should still be the better team in a bad weather game.
  8. The guys on FS1 this morning said the Steelers would be morons to attempt even one pass in the weather. They should run every play and wait for Bills mistakes. I also would question Buffalo throwing any pass beyond 5-7 yards. If they try to get cute in terrible winds and snowfall it will not be good. It's not only hard to throw but its hard to track the ball and catch it too (it's rising and dipping all over the place). It will be a waste of a down if Josh is trying to complete downfield passes. Just run, scramble a bit with Allen and play better D than Pittsburgh and wait for THEM to make the mistakes.
  9. There was a game i recall a few years ago vs Philly. It wasn’t snowing and freezing but it was cold and very windy w some rain. Carson Wentz completed a ton of short dump off passes and the Eagles killed us. I recall thinking after that game how the Bills and McDermott were so poorly prepared to play in the wind and the eagles had a masterclass lesson in how to use a passing game in the wind here. Hopefully McD and Brady watched the film this week of all the wind games.
  10. Every time i check this thread, i expect to see a worse forecast. It should be much better. The new stadium will have a higher profile well above ground and the mesh wind diffusers. The current stadium bowl is below ground, wide open and invites in the wind to make it as strong and whipping as it can be.
  11. It’s funny, in other NFL cities people hear the weather forecast in OP and think wow, the Buffalo Bills are going to crush the Steelers in that tundra. But here a lot of people are thinking the opposite and that we are doomed.
  12. The terrible lake effect may keep a lot of those Steelers fans at the PA border. lol
  13. After getting boat raced by Cincinnati in them a year ago, the magic wore off. Good results or bad the blue over white should always be the home uni in my opinion.
  14. Very true, except when you have snow PLUS sustained winds at 25-35mph gusts to 45. That’s a death blow to a realistic passing game. But let’s dig deeper. A big part of the Steelers resurgence has been Mason Rudolph throwing so well. and big plays by the WRs. So in my opinion it hurts Pittsburgh as much as us. But the Bills have the QB who can make plays with his legs and doesn’t even need the ball to leave his hand.
  15. I saw something online about the Chiefs game and the freezing cold that i haven’t seen before. Cardboard. Bring Cardboard.🤔 “The Chiefs will allow fans to bring in a piece of cardboard no larger that three feet tall and five feet wide to help keep their feet warm. "Basically (the cardboard) it cuts down on the conduction," Shaffer said. "So it's not even so much the insulation part as it's just you're not in direct contact with the concrete." Shaffer said when your boot or other footwear comes into contact with the cold concrete, it literally sucks the heat right out of the bottom of your feet.“
  16. Very true but we (the crowd) couldn’t do anything. The Bills kicked off, Cinci went 6 plays TD. Bills get the ball, go three and out, punt and the Bengals go down again and make it a quick 14-0. We were cooked. Bills kept calling downfield throws in snow, Bengals ran and took the easy short throws. Outcoached.
  17. Buffalo has a better team and i still think they will be the better team even in weather. Let’s keep in mind, Rudolph has been slinging the ball very well over the 3 game winning streak (in addition to Harris running). He’s a drop back passer and it will be rough passing in 20-30mph wind and flakes. Allen has played in some big wind games, but more importantly he can scramble a bit and move the chains. Plus Buffalo can run pretty well too. But most of all I think the Bills D will play insane on Sunday.
  18. That would actually be pretty amazing if it got to -30 wind chill, and awesome if Miami won in those temps. That would destroy forever the narrative of warm weather teams crumbling in those conditions.
  19. The weather in KC and Buffalo this weekend will make for some great TV.. The weather in Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Tampa....Boooooorrrrrring Actually, Tampa expected to see some rain and possibly Thunderstorms.
  20. It's too bad Detroit has their own home playoff game. Dang, that's the perfect alternative. If it gets moved to Cleveland that place better be filled with home team Bills fans,,, I'm sure Steelers fans will worm their way inside in big numbers though.
  21. Lol, advantage Pittsburgh, on that ***** field.
  22. Update I'm seeing is Saturday night into Sunday morning is worst of the snow, then tapering off Sunday afternoon (not sure of exact timing) but seeing totals of only 2-6 inches for that time period.
  23. I like Cleveland and Detroit, but i would be irrationally jealous if one of those old great lakes cities won the SB before us. So i voted Cleveland even though both cities and fan bases are very deserving of being winners for once.
  24. Kraft is honorable (away from massage parlors).. They framed this as a "mutual" parting of the ways and Kraft didn't think it was the right thing to do to make Bill part of a trade transaction. All well said but this was a firing.
  25. Buy Latavius. He should be there this week in the weather. I'm concerned Cook will fumble more than any of them.
