Trestman would be an upgrade, no doubt about it. But he were to somehow come to Buffalo, Cutler would not.

I was a junior in high school. I watched the entire game and when the throwback play stood as a touchdown I got multiple calls from a few buddies laughing at how the bills happened to blow the lead. I didn't realize at that time that would be the last game for Bruce, Thurman and Andre as a Bill too which made it even worse a few weeks later.

The Sammy Watkins trade is exciting in terms of risk of potential and there are a lot of offensive weapons. The defense should be above average despite some loses (Alonso and Byrd). The season will hinge on how our quarterback develops. If he's good a record of 9-7 to possibly 10-6 is not out of the question. However, if there is no improvement, anywhere from 4-12 to 6-10 could be realistic.

All of this will be worth it IF we have a chance to make the playoffs in December. Otherwise, the bashing will be unavoidable.

I'm not sure what to think of this if it does happen, but there are only 2 players that I see that are on the bills radar if this actually plays out. Clowney or Robinson. The wildcard would be one of the quarterbacks.

If he's healthy, absolutely I would agree with you. That would certainly be a giant pick up if he went signed with us and I think it would raise the level of optimism around here.

I think it starts at quarterback. Manuel is going to have to step up and have a good year if we make it back to the playoffs. Despite losing Byrd, I did not like the Pettine went to the Browns. I hope that doesn't affect the progress we made this past season.

When you offer a player 3 years 30 million guaranteed and turns it down it probably means he doesn't want to be playing in Buffalo. I guess maybe management can go a little higher if necessary but I think you let this one go. I am not sure what that does in terms of our drafting plans which now could change drastically. It's pretty consistent in terms of bad news regarding our team for the last 14 years.
