I remember that one, watching the end of the game, I thought it might have been earlier in the season. Still, didn't we make it to the playoffs that year only to lose against the Jaguars? One of the ones that stand out to me was a game in 1997 against the Broncos at home. Alex Van Pelt came in during the 3rd quarter and rallied a huge comeback out of no where and Steve Christie nailed a 55 yearder or something like that on the final play of regulation to tie it at 20 going into overtime. After losing the coin flip we still got the ball because Denver wanted the wind in their direction. The reverse play at the beginning of overtime had me shaking my head for a long time and Jason Elam made around a 32 yarder to win it for the Broncos in overtime.

As usual Bill, good post from the game. I really can not blame this game on the coaching. I thought it was interesting about the McKelvin fumble. He fumbled on the previous return but Nic Harris was in the right spot to pick it up. Bottom line is, I do not think McKelvin is going to forget about this and we'll see if it makes him a stronger player than before. I think it will and coming home this upcoming week to play the Bucs is going to help. The best way to solve this already heartbreaking game from 2009-2010 is to get a win against the Bucs.

I hope that is not the case. There would be a lot of sad, unhappy and hurt people, including myself. That would be worse than any loss on the field the Buffalo Bills have had over the years.

That is an excellent point Lori. This offseason has had more shockers than I can remember. Maybe not since 2002 when we got Drew Bledsoe or it could haven been 2003 with Laywer Milloy and Takeo Spikes.

How can they be fun? That is downright painful. I don't think we are that bad, but we are certainly not good enough at this point to make the playoffs. Hopefully our front office will realize that 7-9 seasons year after year are not good enough.

I guess I fall into the catagory of traditionalist. I figure 6-8 wins. Hopefully we will get the point that 7-9 seasons are not good enough.

Been on the bandwagon and never left since I got into football. Despite some very difficult loses of some important games, I'd only be truly heartbroken if Bills football ever left Buffalo.

This is a good start to a post and I am interested in what others have to say about this. I have gotten used to the fact the we have usually lost more than we have won over the past few years. Sometimes it hurts more than others but I guess you just find something else to occupy your mind. Now in the years in the 1990's and early 2000's when we were good or very competitive, it was much harder and I really couldn't stop thinking about a couple of those losses for weeks after the season.

With this late into the off season, I would look strongly at the left tackle spot to see who has gotten released to pick up an extra and possibly very good left tackle.

I agree with what you wrote. I would like to sign Levi Jones as well to play LT, so Levitre or Wood can compete for one of the guard positions but maybe the front office and coaching staff like what they have as it is.

I'll go with you on that. I think he's going to suprise and make the team.

Question for everyone on TSW. Is there anyone in the draft realistically that we could all be satisfied with the Bills picking 11th?

If this is true, this is excellent news.

That is certainly the optimistic side of it. I like your thinking on this. The draft next week now becomes more interesting for our team then it was before.
