  1. I think paying 8.5 to 9 million a year with incentives up to what he wants could be fair.
  2. I think if you offered him 9 million with incentives to make over 11.5 million, maybe that could work for both sides.
  3. I was about 7 or 8 and it was tough. I still think it was the best superbowl of all time and also the national anthem sung at the super bowl by Whitney Houston was awesome too.
  4. To me, I would look at the pass rush first, but out of those 4 positions that you listed, whoever is rated the highest out of those 4 positions that you listed is who I would take as our pick at #11.
  5. I just back from a trip and I have heard it from a couple of people who know I am a big fan of the Bills. When I first saw that we signed him on Saturday, I was in shock. I am for this move. Owens is a great wide receiver. Could we maybe focus on a guard now and sign Peters to a contract extension?
  6. Those are both ifs. If they do sign both of them, then yes I think you could defintely make a case that we have improved a little. However if we don't sign one or both, then I am not sure how you could say that our team has improved. I would like to see a trade for Waters at guard as well.
  7. If we don't land Coles, I am alright with that. We can land a DE in round 2 I'm sure or even trade up for one if necessary.
  8. That is why signing Matt Birk would help significantly.
  9. That would be good, but until we sign one of those players, look out.
  10. It is incredibly painful, no doubt. Just when you think you've hit bottom. Yikes. Maybe we can sign Ray Lewis.
  11. Today is the first official day of free agency signings and we do have to be patient like a few have said. I would think that if the Bills cut a few of the guys from last year who were starters, they would have a plan of who they want during this free agency.
  12. I'll guess Chicago
  13. If the Bears with the 18th pick select Percy Harvin out of Florida, that is if he is available, I think they would be making their team better on the offensive side of the ball.
  14. I would like the Bills to try and sign Birk or Brown from Baltimore, but is that really realistic? Does anyone really know what the Bills plans are the offseason? Draft wise I still like the idea of drafting BJ Raji if we get the opportunity.
  15. When healthy, Mike Brown is one of the best safeties in the league. I think the staff of the Buffalo Bills is probably not going to make to many changes in the secondary this offseason.
  16. Agreed. Congrats to Ralph Wilson and Bruce Smith.
  17. Peppers would be an great player to have on any team. If this situation becomes realistic, a trade for him would be excellent.
  18. I agree. Try and make a him a respectable offer, fair for both sides, keep him on the team and move on.
  19. I think that is a good argument. While there are certainly a handful of others who are outstanding wide receivers, the three that you mentioned have played exceptional this season.
  20. Good post. I hope it is next year.
  21. It would be awesome to make Peppers our number one offseason target but it is unlikely to happen. To have another type of player who would be outstanding on the DE position as we know would be a tremendous difference to the defense.
  22. I have been a loyal Bills fan since the fisrt super bowl in 1991 when I was about 9 years old and have been following them non stop ever since. My outlook on the Bills is catiously optimistic. I would love to be the head coach of this team. Anyway, I think we have a handful of good players on our team but the biggest ting I would like to see for 2009 is the growth and leadership of Trent Edwards to lead this team to the postseason, a place the Bills have not been in nine years. No matter what happens, the Buffalo Bills will always be my favorite team.
  23. It's much easier to quit than to keep going. Many of the people on this great board (TSW) will not quit and will always love our Buffalo Bills.
  24. Bill, you usual Sunday posts have been great and straight to the point. It is sad to see another season go by without our team in the playoffs, nine years. We will all have to continue to be patient.
  25. Well put. I actually am in favor of getting an inside linebacker and move Poz to the outside. That way, I think we'd certainly upgrade at the linebacker spot. DE could very well be a top draft choice next season.
