The NFL would never be the same and I personally thnk for a good amount of time the NFL would be dead to me. Not having the Bills in Buffalo is not an option.

Well, expectations are usually higher right at the start of the season opener, no matter what team you are a fan of. It is certainly important for this season to start off with a division win against Miami.

Well on a positive note, we are tied for first place right now and you gave good grades to the running back positions and secondary.

Agreed. Also, when you look at the end of the season and see 1-15, it could really make you want to vomit.

I agree. Good for Chan going over there and sticking up for the team. Someone has to be a leader on this team and it looks like Chan could be the right coach for this situation.

There is a reason that the Bills are favored. It is a preseason game. It would seem logical to go with Indi however, like many have said it is a pre-season game and the game means absolutely nothing. The important thing is to go out and improve upon the week before and hopefully no one gets injured.

I agree. Take a look at the differences between that team and this team. The main difference in my opinion is that we were pretty aware that 2001 would be a rebuilding year after the 1990's and the last year of Wade Phillips as our head coach. 10 years later, it seems like we are starting again from square one.

You would think by this time, maybe we would go and get someone via free agency or the draft, but we have not gone out and have gotten a reliable offensive lineman. Ed Wang in the 5th round I am sure made many happy, but it will take awhile to find out if he is a capable starting tackle in the NFL.

Well, we have not been good for the last 10 years. Until that changes, that's how it is usually going to be.

I think there was a post on this with LA Bills about predicting the season outcome with dinner's on me contest. With a lot of optimism in the beginning that is completely acceptable. However, when it's all said and done I think we finish the season 5-11.

That's one way to look at it. Another is being realistic and putting in the guy who has had success throughout the year or years.

Well I think everyone has an opinion about this. Bottom line is, this was a major mistake by the Bills. Putting in Rob Johnson, who the week before had an excellent game was a mistake. You could compare it to a baseball team who's veteran pitcher has done pretty well through the regular season and should be starting game one of the divisional playoffs. Instead, a rookie who the last week of the regular season, throws a 2 hit shoutout with 8 to 10 strike outs to all of a sudden, being put in as the game one starter. It just does not make sense.

That's for sure. I think we need to prepare for this. Maybe next season we'll actually consider going out and trying to get the best left tackle available. Hopefully I am wrong but the past seasons have told us otherwise.
