  1. and the Jets and GB.
  2. damn global warming
  3. I think it's harder because this is a no-trade draft. CW right now is the Bills will move down.
  4. Well said. Ray Lewis might not be the guy you want to marry your daughter, but he'll go all-out on every play and make his teammates better. This is one of my favorites, from Sandy Koufax: "In the end it all comes down to talent. You can talk all you want about intangibles, I just don't know what that means. Talent makes winners, not intangibles. Can nice guys win? Sure, nice guys can win -- if they're nice guys with a lot of talent. Nice guys with a little talent finish fourth, and nice guys with no talent finish last."
  5. I actually think it goes to the differing mindsets of the fans. To Houston fans, it is inconceivable that ownership would not want to pay a player they can afford under the cap just to save money. We're used to having a cheap owner.
  6. If we have that many holes, then I don't think we should be giving up Day 1 picks. Plus, I think Denver just made a move up in the first, I doubt they'd want to jump back down.
  7. I think if we draft him this year, he'll learn the position behind Gandy a while.
  8. The picks are 15 and 22. Kiper has them ranked 17 and 22. Maybe...
  9. What does it show about the kid? I don't think it shows much of anything. And 21 points isn't that amazing. It's just been too long since we've been able to do it that we've forgotten there are teams that do that every week.
  10. Kzoo isn't just focusing on comp %. In YPA, Holcomb also holds a considerable advantage. And just because a pass is short doesn't mean it can't go long. An Evans 49 yarder comes to mind.
  11. Not so hard when the defense holds them to a combined 10 points.
  12. Patriots last eight 4ths: 133 James Sanders SS Fresno State 113 Dexter Reid SS North Carolina 128 Cedric Cobbs RB Arkansas 117 Dan Klecko DT Temple 120 Asante Samuel CB Central Florida 164 Dan Koppen C Boston College 117 Rohan Davey QB Louisiana State 126 Jarvis Green DE Louisiana State
  13. I don't think the Bills have given Losman more than $3-4 million. In other words, chump change.
  14. Not a shot at you, scribo, but who on this board is a reporter for a major news source (i.e. not your church newsletter)? Maybe this should be an OTW topic.
  15. Isn't that what Bonds called Greg Anderson? Makes me suspicious...
  16. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/ncaa/stats/ Is this right?
  17. I still have that play at the end of the Carolina game running on a loop in my head when I think of JP throwing deep to Moulds.
  18. 12 of 32 teams make the playoffs every year - 38% isn't exactly elite. And falling to 5-11 is a considerable step back - it's like falling off a cliff. We were in the bottom quarter of the league last year. That's with the dregs.
  19. You have to acknowledge a middle ground between the leagues elite and where the Bills were. Most people on this board, I think, would view that as the playoffs, and Donahoe, in his five years, didn't even reach that middle ground.
  20. Well said. I'd add because this message board exists and eight hours is a lot of time to sit in a cubicle.
  21. "I knew Craig Nall" isn't the same as friends.
  22. That's where I think your big mistake is. The Bills will cut Moulds because they don't want to pay him $7 million. Otherwise, they would have no leverage to get him to take a pay cut. And if they wanted to keep him at that salary, then they wouldn't allow him to shop himself. Price, when he was traded was 94-1252-9 and 26 years old. Moulds last year was 81-816-4 and 32 years old. Their values are not comparable. If you want to use an example like Travis Henry, I could throw back an example like Marshall Faulk. Entering his prime, the HOF running back got a 2nd and a 5th. Over the hill WRs values who will be cut by their teams should not be overstated.
  23. You know, some kid who worked his whole life to get to the NFL just saw his dream end.
  24. I think you're overvaluing the time Nall spent sitting on his butt. For example, if you backed up Johnny Unitas and Dan Marino, I still wouldn't want you anywhere near the Bills huddle. I'm also not sure how helpful Favre would be if he thought this guy was about for his job (which was probably not the case with Hasselback, et al).
