  1. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/powerranking...son=2006&week=0 28 (23) Bills 5-11-0 Craig Nall, J.P. Losman or Kelly Holmcomb? Well, their going to have to pick one of them, right?
  2. I hate it when those helicopters fly low over my house.
  3. All he's showing is correlation, not causation.
  4. I was going to say Josh Reed proves to be the best receiver on the team. These were bold predictions, right?
  5. Remember Eddie Robinson? I don't think there are any TV "haters" on this board (as opposed to Big Mike, JP, WM, KH, etc). I think everyone agrees he's a great guy, a tough player, and a great teacher. The question is how much has his play slipped, and there are legitimate arguments both ways.
  6. GoBills, Just wondering...you don't think the NHL has any small markets?
  7. I'll go out on a limb and say either Losman or Nall is still around.
  8. Guys, Sully is a fan, and every once in a while, it shows through.
  9. Wow, he was second on his own team. Kzoo, I like the idea of adding a tall WR to the mix and think he has a good chance of making the roster because he brings something new to the table. But, having not seen Nance play more than twice or so, I'm wondering if he is big or does he play big, too. You can get away with more in college than you can in the pros.
  10. Answer me this: Why does a 9-7 team need saving?
  11. Dan, you're getting ahead of yourself. You say a mildly adequate QB would get us 1-2 more wins. That year, we lost games 13-10, 13-10, and 16-14. I don't think that's a stretch. All we wanted was for JP to be mildly adequate. He wasn't. That doesn't mean everything was his fault, but we changed a lot of the rest of it. We have a new coaching staff and GM, with a new philosophy on defense. If Mularkey was still around, we'd be bitching and moaning about him. Instead, there's JP.
  12. Once again...savior? He inherited a 9-7 team. I think there isn't a person on this board who wouldn't have been happy if the had one just one more game last season to get to 10-6 and the playoffs. Savior?
  13. I think the point is that he's a little better than what would've been expected for camp fodder, and that is what is curious about it.
  14. I didn't read that as the same thing, but okay. I think JP will be held to the same standard as Nall, Holcomb, Klingsbury, or anyone else. Short term, make the playoffs. Long term, win it all.
  15. I went with Pat Williams factoring in the two failed 3rd round replacements. The greater situation of watching two Probowl DT's age without getting anyone to replace them is TD's worst move in my book. If we're counting moves he didn't make, then I'd throw Charlie Weiss right to the top. And also failing to find two starting DE's out of three #2 picks should be on the list.
  16. With such a huge electromagnetic disturbance, there's no way you could navigate a boat by compass, and I think that's the others' intention. That's why Desmond headed due west and went in a circle. Libby isn't exactly Lizzy. Maye she's the twin that's been speculated about on this board. I hope the others become regular characters and we get their backstories.
  17. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/05/24/opinion/...r=1&oref=slogin Thought it was funny.
  18. Did anyone else see TMQ on the Op-Ed page of the NY Times saying Buffalo will take off in the next century?
  19. A broken clock... The question is why are some convinced JP will fail, and I think the answer is accuracy and decision making. I don't think it's because people are unaware that he has only played in a few games and that QB's take time to develop or that people have a strong desire to see him fail. There's room for reasonable disagreement on this. ANd I actually think his best pass of the year was a 15-20 yard floater to Reed, but it's not a good thing when you can list his nice passes for the whole season.
  20. CHS? What is Byrne's story?
  21. Any thoughts on the mentions of Q104 and WFAN? Can't be a coincidence, right? Those two stations, WFAN in particular, talk about the Sopranos a lot. Mayb it was just a way of saying thanks.
  22. Why did they abandon the Paulie storyline? I thought that had real disaster potential. Are they coming back to it or did it reach its end?
  23. He doesn't say Nall will be handed the job. He might just as easily mean he thinks Nall will win the competition.
