  1. They are what we thought they were.
  2. I want him to win a game. Here are some numbers: In his 16 games, the Bills have scored 217 points. The last team to score less over a season was the expansion Texans in 2002. In 7 games last year, Kelly Holcomb scored 160 points with the same offense. In their 6-game winning streak in 2004, the Bills scored 228 points. The Bills are 4-12 in those games. In the four victories, the defense allowed 3, 6, 7, and 12 points. The Bills have scored 3, 6, 7, 7, 7, 9, 10, 14, 16, 16, 17, 17, 17, 20, 22, and 23 in his starts. Just to be clear. I want nothing to do with Kelly Holcomb. And I don't want to see JP benched right now. But I want to see progress in points. Breaking th 25-pt. barrier. Winning a game that the defense doesn't win for us. I want him to do do what Matt Leinert did against Chicago (what? they blew that?). And sometime down the road, maybe during this season, maybe before next, I want management to be prepared to make a change if he doesn't progress in this area.
  3. I think he's the wildcard for the Bills right now.
  4. It proves that this may not matter that much. The Pats' line was worse than the Bills' Sunday. Good QB's (and, yes, Brady is the best), live with that. I think he could live behind this line for quitte a while.
  5. Bill (and anyone else who wants to chime in), Flip the QB's Sunday and who wins? I say Bills.
  6. But haven't college defenses kept pace (relatively speaking)?
  7. Depends if you view it as one season as a starter or 2 1/2 in the league. By the second measure, definitely. By the first, probably. I'll give him 20 starts. If he looks like he did Sunday, yank him. In 1974, the Steelers drafted two hall-of-fame wideouts and a hal-of-fame lineman.
  8. My point is that Bradshaw is an exception rather than the rule, and it doesn't make sense to compare Losman to anyone who played 30 years ago. I don't like the comparisons to Brees and Bradshaw that pop up so often. Yes, these things happen, but not very often. They are by far the exception rather than the rule. And I'd give Losman 3-5 more games. If he still looks like he's regressing, then I'd want to give Nall a look. Otherwise, we're back to square one. I'll take your word on Bradshaw. ike I said, i never saw him play. Comparing him to his contempotraries, good in TD's, not in yards.
  9. The first year they won the Superbowl was 1974, when he had more picks than touchdowns. I wouldn't go comparing this team to the Steelers. He also had a pair of Hall of Fame receivers. I never saw Bradshaw, but I always got the impession that he made the Hall because he was the quarterback of four championships, and he won those championships because of the players around him. There are always exceptions. Anything is possible. But do you want to bet on it?
  10. Actually... Bill Belichik is 12-3 against Buffalo, not 13-1. And it's not exactly fair to hold last season against Jauron.
  11. It's easy to say the right things when you're 9-0. But this team will lose a few over an 82-game season, even if they win 60. That's when you find out who they are.
  12. No, worst case scenario is Losman plays like he has and Culter or Leinert flop. The SD situation is the best-case.
  13. Slothrop, Lets be clear. Just because you expected this team to suck and they met your expectations doesn't mean they don't suck. They do. If the standard for the season was improvement, then that has clearly not been met. We were 3-4 after 7 games last year, and our team is headed in the wrong direction. As for the specific topics, I don't think too many people here want to see A-Train start, but calling out McGahee's play is within reason. A full season of starts for JP and it's fair to expect him to show more than he has.
  14. What did we trade for Brunell's back-up? They can't pay two QB's starter's money, so somebody will be able to purchase Schaub.
  15. Nevermind. Seeing it at the stadium, it looked like a broken play, but getting to watch the repla, it was designed.
  16. I didn't think the shovel pass was a designed play at all.
  17. Just nitpicking, but these are opinions. All opinions are made up. I assume you're talking about Carucci on the postgame show, and I didn't hear anything about info from OBD. If he did say he thought the Bills would (instead of should) make a change, that's a different story. And one thing about Carucci on the postgame, he said that there would be no downside to putting in Nall or Holcomb because you could lways go back to Losman. I disagree. If Losman is benched again, he never starts another game for the Bills.
  18. http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=2586979 The man who was stabbed to death by his neighbor for molesting his daughter? Turns out he probably didn't. Here's the original thread: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...hl=justice&st=0
  19. If he was convicted civilly, does this fall under Son of Sam?
  20. That tells me to take 20A, but thanks.
  21. I know this came up a few weeks ago, but have they re-opened the highway? If not, what's the best way to get to Orchard Park from New Jersey?
  22. 5-1 4-2 3-3 These are the records of three teams who hired new coaches that were 3-13, 6-10, and 4-12, respectively. "Rebuilding" should not be a term that excuses poor play or poor coaching. There must be certain standards for improvement, and I think it would be fair to argue those aren't being met.
  23. Is this who we want or who we think it will be?
  24. Kwame Harris? He came from the Big Ten.
