  1. Interesting award. Looking at the past winners, it seems to oscillate between stressing academics and athletics.
  2. me, too. I don't think he started.
  3. I'm on board. But if we're sticking with the mock at football's future, I wouldn't write off Patrick Willis. God only knows what our linebacking corps will look like next season.
  4. I think Lepsis in Denver is a converted TE. I think the reason he was never tried there before the pros is that there is a temptation at the lower levels to get the ball in the hands of your best athlete. That's why the receivers always seem to be more athletic than the corners and there are so many HS and college QBs that become safties and the like in the pros. And when you have a Champ Bailey or a Charles Woodson, you play him on offense, too, like Georgi and Michigan did.
  5. Anyone know Matt Higgins? He seems to write a few stories about Buffalo sports for them.
  6. I don't want my QB anywhere near a conversation of Manning and Roethlisberger right now.
  7. Nobody has stopped Merriman yet. Jarrett would look great in a Bills uni.
  8. They beay us by 38 last year. But I guess since that was in San Diego, it's only like 35.
  9. I'm a casual Sabres fan and went to the game with my Rangers fan roommate. That was the first time I ever saw the Sabres win (out of three tries), and it was great to hear the group in 321 (I was at the top row of 404). Everytime they started a chant, the whole arena booed. It was beautiful. And the polite gentleman in the Messier jersey to my left would respond to every Sabres power play with "two minutes on your mother."
  10. Isn't it 'dead to rites'?
  11. Warner didn't play in the NFL until he was 27 and didn't start until 28. http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/12797
  12. You're defintely right about Romo being surrounded by better offensive talent (you left out the RB pair and the TE), but when Romo replaced Bledsoe, the sacks plummeted. When Losman replaced Bledsoe, the sacks stayed the same.
  13. Vaccaro has a deap-seated hatred for Barber. He even admitted as much when the retirement story broke a few weeks ago. It goes back years. I don't know what started it, but if you looked, you could probably trace it back to its genesis. Besides, everybody loves to criticize Coughlin's coaching wherever he goes.
  14. Yeah, we really should've thought of that - schools, neighborhood, public transportation, satellite TV access.

  16. He averaged 4.8 YPC last season. You just didn't notice.
  17. Who is Michael David Smith? Is that the guy from ESPN?
  18. Nope, still an idiot.
  19. you mean there's pro football in the bay area?
  20. Let me throw in Jax is 4-1 at home, 1-3 on the road.
  21. On the juice, I still see a better chance of us getting in at 9-7 than I do of us beating SD.
  22. That's not what you wrote in your first post.
  23. I think you could substitute Bledsoe for JP. Ugh.
  24. 0-11 in games decided by 3 or less dating to the start of the 2002 season. Anthony, having never played a down of NFL football, I can't say for sure, but it has to be very disheartening for a defense to play with this offense.
