  1. That's because we read everything online for free. You didn't think there would be a cost involved somewhere?
  2. The white teacher was female. That makes a huge difference. It's not (just) old-fashioned Southern racism, it's nationwide sexism. If he was a male teacher, you'd better believe he'd still be sitting in jail.
  3. Anyone else love the headline "Bills Ticket Prices Remain Least Expensive in NFL" as a way of announcing a price hike?
  4. Doesn't v1.0 imply a v2.0? Anyway, the only thing I will be looking at this offseason is to see if the Bills spend money in the pursuit of free agency, because that directly reflects whether I will buy a season ticket or not.
  5. Front page of the NY Times does it in more depth: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/18/sports/f...amp;oref=slogin
  6. You have to add in parking and concessions to the lost tickets, which I don't think is shared revenue. What turns it into a significant problem is that the Bills have the cheapest tickets in the league.
  7. The Bears run defense doesn't look very good without Tommie Harris. I understand the points you're making, but in my modest judgment based on the Bears games I'v seen this season, Scott doesn't meet Marv's criteria for being an upgrade over Williams, and we do need an upgrade.
  8. I don't think Losman was attacked much as the season went on. Most of the national media has come around on him.
  9. Great find! From the article, we had two of our own first rounders and a third rounder starting on the o-line - and were 6-10. Guess it's no guarantee of success.
  10. As good depth as Ellison and Williams proved to be, and the value that Pennington looks like, these aren't the players that win championships. We had an opportunity to get stars, and while Whitner, Simpson, et al, might prove to be stars, don't expect any mea culpas. Look at the seasons of some of the top rookies, and our draft just doesn't look that impressive.
  11. I read somewhere (sorry, don't remember where) that Cowher and the Steelers were hung up on $1 mil a year. Cowher wanted 7 and the offer was 6. So you can see that either way.
  12. Maybe this is the wrong thread to ask, but why do people think Willis is worthy of the 12 pick? Kiper has him bottom first/top second, and no one has him as high as 12. I know Kiper's word isn't gospel, but it's a s good as anyone's.
  13. How many MLBs meet your standards? Urlacher and...?
  14. Rivers' flop was worthy of the Italian soccer team.
  15. The Colts' line is one first round pick a decade ago and a bunch of late picks and street free agents. Is that what you propose we do?
  16. Not that I disagree with your point, but you're argument has a glaring weakness, namely... The Colts and Saints both spent their first round picks on running backs!!!! Indy hasn't spent a first day pick on an offensive lineman since 1999.
  17. I don't doubt your knowledge of the game, and I'm only 22 (and would love to talk about history), but I think you're talking about an emotional response. I don't think it can possibly be the same. I'm a Yankee fan, and I don't get the same reaction, the same memories from watching a 1961 World Series game as a 1996, even though I may know as much about both. I think the same thing applies to football. I can cite OJ's stats like I can cite Thurmal's, but I can't tell you what it was like to watch him.
  18. Aren't you 24 years old? You don't remember 2-14 season, or what it was like before there was hope year after year of a quick turn-around. You havent seen the Ralph with 30,000 people showing up for a game. The Bills are unfortunately in a very small minority, and maybe even the only team that can't compete financially. You dn't change a whole system which 32 teams abide by for one or two struggling teams. That's just reality. I don't like it any more than you do.
  19. I'm not going to plead with Ralph, but I'll tell you what I will do. I have a deposit down on seasons for next year. If he does something in the free agent market (meaning sign a big free agent or re-up Nate, then I'll pay the rest. If he doesn't, then I'll get a refund. Ralph has said this season that he has put a lousy product on the field for seven years and doesn't blame the fans. Well, time to put a better product out there.
  20. This is my pick. Hey Kuile, who does McShay have us taking?
  21. JKC Stadium was designed to be converted into a shopping mall? Huh?
  22. I think mistakes with the d-line refers to Big Pat. He's talking about the Bills' failure to keep their own players. And that's where McGahee comes into play.
  23. Sounds pretty good to me. I've been waiting much longer.
  24. Can someone post who Todd McShay has the Bills taking? Thanks
