Fred Jackson cut??(UPDATE: Pegula says Hell To The No)
Tipster19 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I couldn't agree more. I started a thread about his tweets and how it struck me that this guy enjoys it when things aren't rolling along. I personally believe that he has a ax to grind and he's not willing to let it go, imo. If so then what a sad little man he must be. -
Fred Jackson cut??(UPDATE: Pegula says Hell To The No)
Tipster19 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really love some of these responses! I like Rex, Whaley, hell, even this Roman, I'm willing to open minded with him but when push comes to shove then they better roll over, this is the Pegulas' team. They will be here long after these 3 so my alligence is to them because they already have shown and proven to me that they are not only here for the long haul but they are also here for us! Shame on those who rather have Powell over Fred, I'd have to question your intelligence and also your loyalty. For those who say that it's the right move financially and prosperity wise to release Fred, I can't and won't argue the logic and sense behind it but isn't being a Bill and a Bills' fan more than that? I want a Super Bowl trophy as much as the next Bills' fan but I want it on my terms. The very fiber and fabric of being a WNY'er is being a good neighbor. They don't **** on people. They go the extra mile, help one another, are loyal and support each other. Fred has supported us, now it's time for me to support him. The person, the cause and the journey are what is important to me, the reward is just icing on the cake for a job well done. I love the Pegulas, we couldn't ask or hope for better owners. What I admire and appreciate the most about them is that they really are about One Buffalo. They firmly have their fingers on the pulse of this community and franchise. They know what a WNY'er is and what it takes to be one. I don't know, this is only my personal take on it but then again maybe I have been around too long, seen too much and it's long overdue to go but I remember a time and a place long ago....... -
What's all this talk about a #2 receiver need?
Tipster19 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ouch, that's a nice kick to the gut! If it helps maybe Marshall wouldn't have been as good of a fit here. I guess he has media of some sort once a week and some speculated that that was somewhat of a distraction and lord knows we don't need any distractions. anyways I was watching some Matt Cassell highlights this morning and I noticed that he was hooking up with Dwayne Bowe pretty nicely. If Bowe were to become available and didn't cost too much I'd be interested in seeing if the Bills were to make a move for him. Here should be the perfect type of WR to offer a 1-2 year prove it type of deal. If so then put Woods in the slot and let Sammy and Bowe man the outside. One would think that if Marshall is only 7.5 M then Bowe can't/shouldn't be close to that. Add in Clay and another TE (Rob Housler?) and this offense would be rocking! Go Bills! -
A couple of 'Nuggets' from Tim Graham on Twitter.
Tipster19 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I realize that. What I was saying that he seems to enjoy it a bit too much. Maybe it's only me but the tweet about Fred struck me a bit callous. -
Stupid preconceived notions of their 'KKK' mentality coupled with 2 bad experiences as a teenager (many moons ago! Lol!). Thank you sir! Augusta. Thanks Doc, much appreciated!

For so long many of us have been accustomed to the way things have been done around here but if there is any truth to Fred Jackson being cut, which would bother me but I could understand it, then once again a change of culture is happening. The first big change was of ownership and how business was conducted. Once that happened some long time lifers started to get replaced in the front office. Now Spiller is gone and Fred is on the cusp. I can only think of Wood and Kyle Williams as the leftovers of years past, when things were ran differently. I consider them the kind of Bills that bleed blue and it looks like they don't have a lot of time left with us as well. A lot of things are changing, for me personally as well. I'm literally on the road, changing jobs and residency from state to state (Florida to Georgia). After 21+ years in Florida, raised my kids there, to a state that I always loathed, and now everything will be new and different for me. I hope it's an improvement for me, it better be, I got my balls on the line, but by the end of the day I really have no choice. I'm starting to get big time butterflies now in my gut. I'm leaving my son's house in Louisiana tomorrow to head out to this Georgia and I'm pretty nervous. I have always been a routine, traditional type of guy but man this is a whole bunch of change! Bottom line is that everything that I'm saying about my big life changing move to Georgia I can say about my feelings about the new regime in Buffalo. I hope that both the changes are for the better, and I believe they are, and that it gets me The Trophy!

Jerry Hughes signs 5-year deal with Bills
Tipster19 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's what I was thinking. Lupati, Bulaga and Clay would be an ideal FA for us and then follow up with a few select players in the draft. -

Maybe I missed spoke. I probably should have used the unknown instead of turmoil. Sorry boys, I guess I was a little sloppy, I was walking through the mall when I was reading some of Graham's tweets. -
Just 3+ hours ago he said from a knowledgable source that the Hughes/Bills situation will come to a head today. The second thing he tweeted is that you can be assured that Fred Jackson is monitoring the Bilal Powell reports closely. I must say, the way that he words things gives me the feeling that he actually is reveling in the Bills' turmoil, especially with Fred, like he's enjoying it too much. I guess the TSW must have really pissed him off, not bowing down to his journalistic leading reports.

Boston Herald: NE, careful what you wish for with Rex
Tipster19 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Upstate State, WNY, frozen state, who gives a ****, all I want to hear coming out of their mouths is "Daddy" once we take back what is rightfully ours and that is the division title! Their nucleus is starting to fade into the sunset, *see Woolfork! Soon it will be Marcia Brady and then the dreaded Belichick. First I want to pound those two asses a few times before we show them the way out! -
Now let's seal the deal: Fix the O-line!

I agree wholeheartedly, the OL should be the #1 priority from here on out! -
Old Timers vs. New Dogs in the Bills world and TBD...
Tipster19 replied to mellaman101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great post, much needed and long overdue. I'm old school and I must say that there's a lot to take in right now as a Bills' fan and I'm an action junkie! Talk about wow! One thing is for certain, things are a whole lot different around here since the Pegulas took over! I think I'll leave it at this so nobody, old school, new school, gets offended. Respect the past, enjoy the present and embrace the future. Go Bills! -
So... who we gonna trade for today??
Tipster19 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills trade EJ for Cutler and the Bears eat 5M of Cutler's contract. -
Strictly a rumor from the Eagles fans
Tipster19 replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, if that's accurate then Chip sure is making it happen! -
A new news blurp says the Eagles have great interest in FA RB Mark Ingram. I advocated for him, I'd hate to see the Eagles get him.

Is that suppose to be cryptic?

I read this in the monster McCoy/Alonso trade thread. Apparently a unnamed source (agent?) close to McCoy said that was a initial reaction from Shady when he found out that he was traded to Buffalo. If any of that is accurate it sure sums up the stigma that so many in the Bills' fanbase have loathed of players' perception of playing in Buffalo. Those 2 words sure says a lot! While I understand a player's initial reaction and shock to such news it still validates to a point that we weren't wrong about some players' opinions of playing up in Buffalo. I will say that when the dust settles I'm sure that McCoy will start wrapping his mind around this a little bit more. I know that I have and it's human nature to have strong reaction to sudden change. Anyways what I really wanted to mention is that in light of McCoy's reaction is how CJ Spiller must have felt when he heard the news. CJ is a class act and I really feel bad for him. Here is a nice guy who never complained, wanted to stay a Bill, always gave his best effort and has to find out on national TV, by a former Patriot and a phone call from our 'classy' front office', that he was no longer wanted or needed, thank you very much and then in front of the bright lights and cameras, surrounded by 5 analylists, reveling in the latest gossip, asking all kinds of questions as they are pointing out that he no longer is a Bill. I have a problem with that. CJ didn't deserve that. He's been nothing but classy and loyal and this is what he gets and is treated??!!! It's not right. The poor guy wasn't even allowed to process and digest all of this in private. It's not right. For one of the very few times in my life I'm not quite so proud of being a Bills' fan. Just my 2 cents..... Go Spiller!

Bills to trade Kiko Alonso for LeSean McCoy
Tipster19 replied to CNY315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now that the initial shock is wearing off there's a few things that I'd like to share. First and foremost for the people who are concerned about the cap hit this might ease some fears. I was listening to Polian on Sirius last night at 8:00 CST, I'm in Louisiana visiting my kids, and while I had to cut his commentary short he was basically explaining that under the new bargaining agreement, I think that's what he was referring to, that there is a salary cap floor that has to be met. The Bills apparently are well below it and HAD to spend to meet it. So for all of those who are worried about Shady's cap hit, don't be, the Bills are just fine. Secondly I'd like to say is that when I first heard about the trade it made me sick. While I highly respect Shady's abilities I was never impressed with his competitive spirit. I'm old old school and someone who doesn't DEMAND the rock ALL the time isn't my kind of player. I have read him saying in the past, I think 2 years ago?, something to the effect of that, that he was getting the ball too much or that he's alright with coming out of the game and sharing some of the carries. Either way, I'm not a big fan of this type of 'team work'. Whether people agree with me on this or not, I have the right or privledge to feel like this. The other factor I think, and this may apply to others who weren't too thrilled about the trade, is that I guess I got smacked right in the puss with the cold reality of business. The players are more names than people and that's not how I grew up, so I guess that I better grow up.....again. All I want is for this team, this franchise to be great and hopefully even win us a Super Bowl. If this trade helps us do that, or gets us closer to being a strong play-off team than I'm down like 4 flats. In closing, no matter what anyone wants to think or say about anything that's been going on one thing is for sure and that is whether if it's Whaley, Rex, the Pegulas or whoever, or just collectively, man this franchise sure has some balls the last couple seasons! Wow! -

It's called chemistry. Of course Bradham is going to go on and play at his highest level but once again it was Kiko that inspired him. Is it wrong or terrible to want your life long favorite team to have great chemistry and enjoy being teammates and working as one??! -

That's completely true. Bradham said that right after Kiko got hurt. Alonso inspired Bradham by his mentality/work ethic etc. that's what got Bradham focused and dedicated in the preceding off season.
