  1. Yep, because the refs HATED Bledsoe. Got it.
  2. And yet Kelly couldn't win a SB for the Bills.
  3. Tell us about Ron Artest again, BF.
  4. He's scheduled to make $3.3M as base, and a $1.5M bonus on March 1st. Hopefully that was part of the $6.5M bonus he got paid by redoing his deal over the off-season, meaning he saves the Bills $4.167M next year.
  5. Agreed on the WR's. And the Colts ended up with 1 TO.
  6. The Patriots get away with stuff T-Bone. I know as a Pats fan you can't see that, but the rest of the NFL world DOES realize it. That's why the Pats never get the respect they deserve. Sorry.
  7. Yeah, and GREAT Pats' offense. Even though they're mauling the Colts' DL, they've managed to score a whole 6 points. Impressive. And that Bruschi "takeaway" was an incomplete pass. Rhodes didn't have control nor did he "make a football move" and the ball touches the ground while Bruschi hit the ground. But true to form, "just give it to 'em!"
  8. Answer: stop paying-off the refs before the game.
  9. I believe the one to which you are referring only applies to 4th down, i.e. if a player fumbles on 4th down, HE must be the one to recover it.
  10. BF's kiss of death. That's seals it: the Colts win.
  11. I don't know if I'd call him their best WR, and I think that Branch would be considered that, if he could stay healthy. Also the Pats don't like to pay their players much, and probably think that Givens is a product of the system. I could see Givens refuse to sign the tender and demand a huge payday, which would be nice.
  12. In this guy's case, too little, too late. The Pats' wild and lucky ride ends today.
  13. Where was that "top of the league special teams" against the Steelers? That "top 3 defense" against the 3rd stringers of the Steelers? That running game that was supposed to set-up the offense against the Steelers? The answer was they were all absent as well. That type of OVERALL team effort won't get you to the next level.
  14. Not so fast. He was a 7th round pick, meaning if they tender him at the lowest level, he only nets a 7th rounder in return. So that means they'd need to tender him at the 3rd round level, which is a pay increase to $1.3M. Will they do it? And furthermore will a team offer MORE than that to get him away from them? I'd give up a 3rd rounder for him.
  15. The Pats have NOT had to overcome an injury to Seymour yet. He's their best defensive player by far. His presence helps the rest of his D-linemen, who in turn hide the weaknesses of the secondary. And with Law and Poole out, that will be HUGE. Oh and the reason for the Pats making the SB 2 of the past 3 years, Walt Coleman, will NOT be working this game. So add it all up and a team that squeaks-by with wins at home aided by the refs likely won't be happening today.
  16. Leinart doesn't want to play for the 49'ers. That's why he's staying in school.
  17. Let's hope the 2nd for Travis is true, and that Drew takes a paycut.
  18. I've learned a thing or two over the years. First of all, with pro players, it's ALWAYS about the money. Second of all, you'd think these guys hate each other, but they hang-out in the off-season. Hell Bruce Smith and Richmond Webb were great friends! And as I said, maybe Roethlisberger said something funny and Pennington found it funny, and laughed. I don't think he'd go into major depression to the point of not being able to laugh, after a loss in a game where the Jets weren't even predicted to make, let alone win.
  19. Just take the paycut, Drew!
  20. Martz does the same thing. Probably an :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: to Martz by Mora, if not some backroom thing we don't know about.
  21. No, it just means that Losman might be just as good as a bad Bledsoe and that the money saved might be better spent elsewhere.
  22. Seymour is the key to that Pats' defense. He commands at least double-teaming, which allows the rest of the defense to put pressure on the opposing QB's and minimize the weakness of the secondary. Gonna be a long day for the Pats without him, Law, and Poole.
  23. Maybe Ben said something hilarious like "I'm the reason we won?"
  24. As will I when they lose. Let's see, no Law, Poole, probably Seymour, Coleman, and it won't snow until after halftime. And like I said, seeing the way the Dolphins beat them and then their lackluster performance against the 49'ers, I don't see the Pats coming close to winning.
