  1. For what? Difficult kicks with the game NOT tied?
  2. Wow, so THAT'S what happens when you throw downfield against the Steelers! Damn that Bledsoe!
  3. That still doesn't excuse the defense from allowing a 9-minute drive by the 3rd stringers when TOP was virtually the same for both teams prior to that. Oh and also add the ST's and coaching. The Jets just returned a punt for a TD and noodle-armed Pennington is throwing the ball downfield with success. Really just a HORRIBLE game by everyone involved.
  4. Rian Lindell, or the Bills' defense? I gave Lindell somewhat of a pass for having trouble beyond 40 yards because he was good inside of that. Then he misses a HUGE 28-yarder. But then the Bills' vaunted defense allows the Steelers' THIRD STRINGERS to score 6 more points on them. Man I don't know how long this will eat at me.
  5. The only backs that I see becoming available who might be as good or better are Alexander and Rudi Johnson. The Edge will be franchised. The difference is that Travis will be cheaper, since he's got a year left on his contract, and this will make him more attractive. Also there are a bunch of teams in need of a good RB, and only a couple 1st rounders in the draft. I agree with this.
  6. Good thing that Purdue player choked at the foul-line at the end of regulation.
  7. It's not a matter of being fined what should hurt you. I mean when Eric Barton only gets fined $5000 for bashing his forearm into Drew Brees' head, versus Moss being fined $10000 for simulating a mooning, you KNOW something is wrong.
  8. Not to worry, he'll make a LOT more in the lawsuit against them.
  9. Some believe the Pentagon contracted with a biotech company to produce AIDS.
  10. I agree. I do NOT want Henry in Miami because of the revenge factor, a la Antowain. I also don't see the Dolphins giving up the 2nd overall pick (no way!), they don't have a 2nd, and a 3rd is too late. Hopefully the Bucs step in. They're in Florida, play on grass, need a RB, and have a 2nd rounder.
  11. The Dols won't be a threat for a couple years, if that. They're aging on defense and have cap problems currently. And Saban having success as a college HC doesn't guarantee anything.
  12. Well then, I'm sure if you DID have problems, they'd probably offer to give you your money back. Go for it. It's a good deal even at $2000, depending on the condition of the car's body.
  13. With 4-5 teams interested in Travis, a 2nd rounder is the MINIMUM I'd expect for him, since there are no 2nd rounders in this year's draft who are as good as he is. And while Travis would like to go to Miami, and I'm sure vice versa, them not having a 2nd rounder makes that highly unlikely, to go along with Miami being a division rival. Still they're another team to help drive up the price for Travis. Cool.
  14. For sure. If it already hasn't been replaced, you DEFINITELY should do this, since it can wreck your engine if it goes (a known problem with Honda Accords). My only other caution is buying something from a friend. If you do, just accept it as-is and don't get worked-up over stuff that MAY go wrong.
  15. Yeah, that was me. Sorry, just trying to inject some levity into the fledgling god/space-travel-is-possible-dammit debates.
  16. Well, I guess this explains the thought process behind "JP could have done a better job this year."
  17. Wouldn't the Talking Heads without David Byrne basically be The Tom Tom Club? And didn't the Doors recently tour with Ian Astbury, formerly of The Cult? And if The Cult is still around, wouldn't they be worth a mention, post-Astbury?
  18. No. That's not their plan. Really it isn't. Just drop the subject.
  19. He's saying that if the intelligent life that possibly visited earth was hostile, they would have wiped us out a long time ago. IOW the intelligent life that has visited us was NOT hostile.
  20. Timmy Chang, BAY-BE! BTE, who sniped me?
  21. "Mother did it need to be so...hard."
  22. It's beause the Bible says so. That's all I'll say further on the subject.
  23. Well we went from the earth being flat, to being round. From the universe revolving around the earth to the earth revolving around the sun and only a teeny-weeny (in scientific terms) part of the universe. Then our solar system was the only one with planets revolving around it. Frankly I don't know WHOSE tune changes more.
  24. That's why I said "conceivably." We only can explain our current views on "life."
