  1. Sounds like the Pats are VERY worried. If they weren't, a simple "consider the source" or "who cares" would have sufficed.
  2. According to Ray, there are at least 10 other guys who would cross the picket lines to play next season if/when the owners use replacement players. Nobody else had the guts/idiocy (depends on how you look at it) to come out and say so though.
  3. Regardless of whether you personally love him or hate him, the man has 12M listeners, a good number of who WILL follow him to Sirius, if for anything other than to just hear what he does in an uncensored format. Robin and the rest of the gang is following him there, and Martling was a nobody whose departure didn't affect the show's popularity. And the deal was $500M. Don't know why that much, but as I said, the company says it needs just 1M of his listeners to break even on the deal.
  4. How did you come up with the 9.6MM number for TOTAL subscribers to both services? More than a few analysts see upwards of 40MM subscibers over the course of the next decade.
  5. The only thing I'm "100% sure" of is that the stock dropped $20 since the beginning of the year. I'm also "100% sure" that the reasons were more than just valuation.
  6. Yeah, I guess that's why I haven't made ANY money and you've made enough to quit your day job. Oh and yes, Taser dropped STRICTLY on valuation, not because people were worried about the safety of the product and potential lawsuits. Gee I don't know. Maybe get some subscribers to make that balance sheet look pretty?
  7. He had about 2 productive years in the NFL: his last with the Bills and his first with the Chargers. After that it seemed that he was more interested in the money and lifestyle than wanting to be a good player. I agree with a 1-year deal for the min, but someone in someplace more attractive than Buffalo will probably offer him more.
  8. Yeah, Blackmon wasn't a good DC. He might have learned something since then, but I feel much better knowing Gray is going to be back.
  9. It got slaughtered because of concerns over it's safety, and because customers are now starting to think twice about purchasing it. I said as much in the last time we, uh, talked. So in a way you're right that it was overvalued, because now they won't be selling as much product. What I should have done is bought STIY back THEN, when it was $17. Patience my friend. Patience. You and others seemed to think I meant it would get there overnight, but I always said I was in it long-term. However you DID give me the idea to trade it and make some coin in the meantime.
  10. Speaking of tanking stocks, did anyone buy TASR prior to the end of last year? That stock has lost almost $20 since that time!
  11. There's been some "bad" news in the form of ratings downgrades recently, which have made Sirius and XM lose about 13% since the begining of the year. Both were upgraded to "buy" by one analyst today, so it will be interesting to see where the stock goes tomorrow. I wasn't happy to see the stock drop as much as it did, but I took advantage of the volatility and bought and sold shares to make a tidy profit this past week. The initial investment I made was for the long-term, which for me means at least a year, when I can see what effect Stern moving to Sirius and the deals with car makers have on subscriber numbers. But satellite radio isn't going away and will be to traditional radio what cable was/is to traditional TV.
  12. You're joking, right? During that first game between the 2 teams this season, they said that the refs ignored 15 (yes 15!) holding calls by the Pats on the Colts' WR's.
  13. I think TD was basically saying that given the nature and timing of their injuries, he's hopeful they return for TC, but isn't counting on it and will make plans just in case. Hopefully that means getting a new TE. Campbell was slow BEFORE the leg injury, so I think we can pretty much write him off next season. So that leaves Euhus and Neufeld, plus a rookie or FA.
  14. Also check-out Charley's Steakhouse on International Drive. It's a top-5 (in the US) steakhouse and great prices.
  15. http://www.disboards.com/index.php? If you're inclined, get a book from Border's or Barnes and Nobles by Birnbaum. A good idea is to stay at a Disney property (they have "All Star" Sports, Music, Movies, and Pop Century for $77/night usually) because everyday you get to get into a park an hour earlier than non-Disney guests. And if you check out Epcot, and you should, make sure you visit Ice Station Cool.
  16. True, but as with the argument WRT Bledsoe, the defense shouldn't be EXPECTED to carry the team by itself.
  17. You obviously haven't seen many Packers games. The Packers have one of the best O-lines. And despite being in the weak NFC, they went 10-6.
  18. I agree with that AND him saying they should have mixed-in a little no huddle. Seems like not only the players, but the coaches took this game lightly, and that's what still infuriates me. I still cannot accept that the Bills' starters couldn't beat the Steelers' backups at home, except that they thought it would be a cakewalk, but that's another indictment of the team altogether. And to blame ONE individual is ridiculous. But I guess it's the easy thing to do.
  19. "We got all kinds of rain. Stinging rain, big ol' fat rain, and rain that seemed to come right up from the bottom."
  20. Wow, and to think that the Broncos only lost to the Colts by 25 points, despite that wonderful pocket presence of Plummers' against the Colts' 3rd stringers (who wouldn't even be practice squadders for the Steelers). How many 9 minutes drives did Plummer's defense give up?
  21. Let me add that, should the Colts lose, I'll LMMFAO at them for talking about "winning momentum" and wanting to win last weekend and not doing it.
  22. I'm expecting the Bills to address the O-line in FA. If they can't however, I'd be fine with them using a high pick on a player they think can start right away. Let McNally have final say.
  23. I'm pulling for Indy all the way. Sure they layed down against the Broncs, but that would only have bothered me if it affected the Bills in anyway, which it didn't thanks to the Jets losing last weekend and the Bills choking. So if they win, they face the Pats, who they can beat now that the Pats are playing practice squadders in their secondary. And the Steelers' fans are WAY too obnoxious for me to want to see them make the SB, because whoever makes it from the AFC will win it, and they'll become even MORE obnoxious than ever. So it's Indy for me.
