  1. I can't wait for the O-line to be addressed this off-season. That will only help guys like McGahee, Moulds, Evans, and Losman.
  2. The Bills didn't do anything illegal and/or "get away" with anything. I guess that's where you have a problem with what the Bdills did and what the Pats do. BTW, do you THINK that Staley or one of his teammates punched his leg, or that he was hallucinating? Yep, obviously, and Staley was being a sore loser...no wait, the Steelers killed the Patriots so that can't be it. The Steelers already said your team cheats PRIOR to the game, and now the Chiefs do. Add them to the rest of the AFC East teams, the Raiders, the Rams, and the Colts, and steadilly the Patriots are cheating every team in the NFL.
  3. The Bears will win either way. Henson will have a rude welcome. The Bears won't be playing prevent.
  4. They should get some monetary incentives at least.
  5. It WAS a great signing. You can't predict injuries OR how players will recover from them. I doubt Vincent is dogging-it and I just hope he returns soon.
  6. The Seahags weren't a good team BEFORE Haselbeck got hurt, and Robinson got suspended. Now they're really bad. They started off well because they played a weak schedule. Then reality set in. They got their arses handed to them by the Rams 2 Sundays ago, and last weekend were an INT returned for a TD from losing to the Dolphins. And Hasselbeck looks to still be out.
  7. You can never tell. News, especially bad news, hits hard and fast. The stock did a similar thing last Wednesday when Bank of America downgraded it. Then some good news came out. You'd probably do best to wait a little until the sting dissipates.
  8. Yep. JP Morgan advised clients to sell. Amazing how much power these analysts have. Just part of the game.
  9. Stupid post of the day winner. Congrats.
  10. Very interesting. And technically Bledsoe has taken 5 sacks in the 5 games McGahee has started, although the sack in the Rams game was because of Henry. In a similar vein, I'd like to know how many of the 4 sacks Bledsoe took in the Ravens game happened when Henry was in the game, seeing as they split the number of carries.
  11. From KFFL.com: Looks like both he and Williams were overhyped. Hopefully at least there's still a chance for Williams.
  12. Forget the numbers. Sirius has some real muscle behind them now. What I expect that to mean is they'll be able to streamline their business practices and attract new subscribers, two things that I expect will actually generate revenue and make it all work. Without that happening, Sirius won't do anything. Now for the next year, Sirius should continue to gain market share as they become more recognized, again thanks to adding Karmazin and Stern. Once 2006 rolls around and Stern joins them, I expect Stern disciples to flock to Sirius in droves for a chance to listen to their hero. Therefore I'm keeping the stock at least until partway through 2006. Once reports come out on the number of subscribers, and I expect it to be good, I might consider selling soon after that. I too have concerns over the amount of money they will be paying Stern (did they really have to offer him $100M a year?), but by the time that affects their numbers, I will likely have sold by then.
  13. The Patriots cheating? Yawn. Tell me something new.
  14. As I said, I'm in it for the long term. I don't expect Sirius to hit the 30's for awhile.
  15. I'd say that Sirius is more like DirecTV and XM is more like Dish Network. Sirius has better content, like DirecTV did. That will attract more subscribers. The acquisition costs will decrease as well eventually.
  16. I have looked at the public books, but I'm sure that guys like Stern and Karmazin, who stand to lose a lot more, have a lot more knowledge than most investors do and wouldn't have rushed into joining Sirius if they didn't think it was viable. Beyond that, the name of the game is subscribers, and with college FB, the NBA, NFL, and now Stern (and who knows what else in the future), Sirius has the content to get mroe subscribers and even steal some way from XM. Add to that a top guy like Karmazin and people are more willing to look favorably upon Sirius than XM.
  17. I'm not planning on selling for awhile. I think the stock will hit the mid-30's easily, and go even higher as more people subscribe. I base this on looking at XM, which is trading in the mid-30's, and they don't have nearly the content or executive firepower Sirius now does, and they're losing as much money.
  18. That might have a part to play (although I wonder why he'd be pumping the stock unless he's headed there himself?), but the bigger reasons were adding Stern, then Karmazin, then him buying a ton of shares and the subscribers starting to sign up.
  19. Wow! Up 74 cents yesterday after Karmazin bought 1.5M shares, up over 80 cents today already after announcing they have over 800K subscribers and look to have over 1M by the end of the year. Very cool.
  20. When the Pats win a SB without the zebras giving them playoff wins, I'll have respect for them as SB champs. Outside of that, they're a well-coached team who plays great during the regular season but gets favored heavily in the playoffs. I know it, you know it, everyone knows it. Oh and if not for Roman Phifer getting away with interference on Gonzalez on Green's INT before the half, the Pats would have probably lost. But I saw enough last night to know that the Pats better PRAY that Pgh has 1 more loss than them, because the Pats won't win there in the playoffs.
  21. Not to a Pats fan. They don't know dirty/illegal play except for the blue moon occasions it happens to them.
