  1. I don't think that was an option for either the owner OR Davis. He wanted total control and they wanted him out.
  2. And IIRC, Brown got half of those yards on the game-winning TD catch in OT.
  3. Your defense was sh-- that year. That's why Belichick and Pioli added 6 new starters in 2001. And your offense was garbage as well for reasons BEYOND Bledsoe, which is why the Pats added 6 new starters there as well in 2001. And your ST's got a LOT better when they added Larry Izzo. Any more questions? I know you and your ilk like to fantasize that Brady is the reason the Patriots have won their SB's, but most people know the truth. It's called 2002, the year Brady led the NFL in TD's and the Pats scored more points than in 2001 or 2003, and missed the playoffs. Care to take a guess why? Oh yeah and the Pgh game in 2001. Who was the winning QB that day? Amazing what some players can do.
  4. Brady will be making next year what Manning made in 2001-2003. We'll see how many players the Pats have to cut on defense.
  5. If the Pats win, it hurts the Bengals' playoff chances. If the Pats lose, they lose. In either case, we win!
  6. Will the Bills be releasing Bledsoe and he be joining the Pats to win in Pgh again, the Steelers be WITHOUT both Staley and Bettis, and the ST's be the ones scoring most of the points for the Pats? Brady hasn't proven he can win a playoff game on the road, and judging by their performance on Halloween, I wouldn't put money on him doing it this year either. Oh and put Manning on the Pats and Brady on the Colts, and Manning has 2 SB rings and Brady has none. Brady was lucky enough to land with the best set of coaches, defense, and ST's in the NFL while Manning hasn't had crap for a defense, even WHEN he was making no more than Brady.
  7. He was THIS close to playing today. He'll be back next weekend, but then again as I asked, do the Bills NEED him against the Browns at home.
  8. Brees is an UFA next year. The only way for them to keep him is to FP him, but that will cost them at least $9M. They can afford it, but if their plan is to trade him, no one will trade a 1st AND give him that kind of coin. If the idea is to keep him, if he has another great year, what do you do then?
  9. I see the Pats won "in spite" of Brady, what with his 11-20 1 TD 1 INT performance today.
  10. I'm sure he expected Dallas' original pick to be in the 20's and the Bills' to be in the top-5. Looks like it will be the other way around. Good, and I hope Jones turns out to be a bust (sorry Golden Domers).
  11. you forgot this part: ...and needed BLEDSOE of all people to win the game for them! I KNEW you wanted to type that part ICE, but were too mentally exhausted to do so.
  12. Why root for them? There's no one left on their schedule that should be able to beat them...with the POSSIBLE exception of the Jets in Jersey, now that Pennington is back. That should be a good one.
  13. The Bills, despite having some key intra-game injuries, SHOULD have beaten the Pats at home, if not for piss-poor officiating that looked like they were intentionally trying to help the Pats get the all-time win-streak record. I think they'd win today if they played in Buffalo.
  14. I think he might be best served at CB than FS. The CB's have been giving-up too many big plays, while Baker seems to be doing a good job. Hopefully the extra rest he got this week will get him back to 100% by next weekend (that is, IF the Bills need him against the woeful Browns).
  15. Actually I say make it an open competition next year. Upgrade the O-line, fill a few holes on defense, and let 'em have at it. May the best man win.
  16. I HOPE you've realized that I like Drew and have been sarcastic with all my "bashing" posts.
  17. Don't, if injuries and the defense's penchant for having to rely on turnovers continue. I hope that was just a 1 game aberration.
