Here ya go: http://www.wftv.com/news/4072758/detail.html Florida doesn't have a primary seat belt enforcement law, but it's probably coming. And again, how many people wear seatbelts in the BACKSEAT of a car?

OT: Can someone explain the NHL to me?
MadBuffaloDisease replied to JoeF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've heard that a lot of people are blaming Bettman and Goodenow for the current problems. That's why the meeting between owners and players is happening, i.e. to get those 2 idiots out of the equation. However when all is said and done, the owners realize that for the long-term survival of the NHL, they have to have a cap that limits salaries to a percetage of revenue so that no team loses money, much less the majority of teams, and that subsidizing the league from the owners' outside businesses is NOT a feasible solution (lest the players are also put to work in their factories and such). The players however see the cap as restraining and don't want it, and care about the short-term because that's all that affects them. Who cares about the NHL in 7 to 8 years? Most of the current players won't be around then. But the owners will win because they'll threaten to use replacements and WILL use them if the players don't agree to a cap prior to the start of next season, and more than a few players will cross the picket lines and the strike will break down. So the faster the players accept the inevitable, the less money they lose than had they accepted a cap in the first place. -
Has Weei 850 AM in Boston has reported??
MadBuffaloDisease replied to AirBledsoe11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, Jon Kitna looked REAL great when the Bills played the Bengals. And yes there will be a shitload of QB's out there who "can actually handle adversity." That's why they're on the market. Oh and last but not least, the teams whose receivers drops balls aren't going too far in the playoffs. -

True. The receivers will still drop passes and the Bills still need a TE. But at least it will get the running game going, which will help a lot. Read above Who do you suggest? Who will come in, learn a new system, and produce? -
Steelers Have Won 15 In A Row..And Yet..
MadBuffaloDisease replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, and that's the psychological DISadvantage for the Pats. Personally I'd rather know I kicked the other team's ass but just came off a squeaker win to keep me humble, versus a blowout win. And the Pats have been "whew"ing it in the playoffs for years. Last weekend was the first blowout win they've had in the playoffs, and as a result, the Steelers are underdogs, which CAN'T sit too well with them. The revenge factor works for both. Most of the Steelers' players are still there from the last meeting in 2001. Same goes for Marcia. Like I said, the Colts' weak defense held them to 6 points in the first half. The defenses aren't even in the same area code as far as dominance. And the Steelers have the running game to take it to the Pats, to minimize the role of their rookie QB. -
The seatbelt law is for front-seat passengers only. How many people wear a seatbelt in the backseat of a car? I don't, but I probably should.

Steelers Have Won 15 In A Row..And Yet..
MadBuffaloDisease replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So too is the hypothetical of what he would have done had he played back on Halloween, or how the Steelers played the Jets versus how the Pats played the Colts. Pray tell, what psychological advantage do the Pats have? Homefield? Nope. Weather? Nope. Being the underdog? Nope. Revenge? Nope. Are the Steelers intimidated by the Pats? Nope. And last of all, do the Steelers feel they can't beat the Pats? Nope. -

No way, huh? The regular season win was weak, huh? I guess you base that on Corey Dillon being outi that game. But did you realize that Dillon has a 75 yard average against the Steelers lifetime? Did you realize that Seymour was healthy and so was Law for the first quarter? People are getting all caught up in how the Steelers played the Jets and how the Pats played the Colts. Got news for you: the Jets actually HAVE a good defense, whereas the Colts' have the 5th worst defense, and they were playing in a hostile environment and in the worst weather conditions imaginable for a dome team. Yet still their defense held the Pats to SIX whole points in the 1st half. Unlike with the Colts, there will be NO advantages for the Pats, psychological or otherwise. The only caveat is if Cowher tries to put the game on BR's shoulders, they might lose, but I think the last month or so has shown him that that's probably not the smartest idea. -
Has Weei 850 AM in Boston has reported??
MadBuffaloDisease replied to AirBledsoe11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hardly. Since I expect the Bills to concentrate on the O-line and since I'll have to SEE Losman play well before I believe he's ready, having Bledsoe take a paycut and at worst be the starter if Losman can't hack it is the best situation of all. It's not like great QB's are out there just waiting to learn a new system and take the Bills to the SB. -
Recent car sale - problem with buyer
MadBuffaloDisease replied to SouthernMan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Take the car back and refund their money. It's not worth the worry, time, aggravation, and possible litigation. Then take the car to AAMCO, get the tranny fixed for $500 or so, and resell the car. -

There is a $1M roster bonus due on March 1st, so if they release him, it would be before then. -

Weather WILL be a factor in Pa. Sunday
MadBuffaloDisease replied to Greg de'Ville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again, if the Pats managed to score just 6 points against the Colts in a half, with a full 2 weeks to prepare for them, I don't expect to see the Steelers fall behind by much, if anything. But that's why they play the games. -

MadBuffaloDisease replied to Greg de'Ville's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Pats won't have a psychological advantage over the Steelers in THIS contest, unlike with Indy. Those wimps lost the game even before it started, worrying about the cold, snow, and then field conditions. To make things worse, the Pats are FAVORED in this game, a fact which can't sit too well with the Steelers' players, and I suspect that like with Bruschi, more than a few Steelers players will be pissed off with all the media love the Pats will be getting. It WILL be interesting to see how the conditions affect the Falcons, though. -
So what does TD think about his defense, who couldn't get it done against Pitt's scrubs either? Cut them all?
