  1. CUT THAT MEAT! Oh wait, wrong game.
  2. Wrong. Next! How about "Dr. Feelgood" by Motley Crue, especially with "TnT" preceeding it? Oh but wait, that's big hard music.
  3. That's pretty much the MO. The Rams have a crap defense and couldn't stop the RB's, much less Vick. They DID shut down the Rams' offense, but it will be tougher on the road and in bad conditions.
  4. I don't believe there are any conditions, so if the teams asks for the money, he has to give it back. That being said, I don't think the Bills will ask for it back, nor do I think Drew will just give it back.
  5. Here ya go: Couldn't find the ones about Miami and Arizona, but we all know they're interested.
  6. I think the snowy, slippery conditions make Vick's running less of a threat. And the Eagles have a good enough secondary to match-up with Altanta's underwhelming receiving corps, and thus they play close to the LOS to shutdown the run. On offense I agree that Westbrook has to come up big, and so too do the WR's.
  7. Actually if a player retires, his last team is entitled to request he pay back the unamortized portion of his signing bonus. However rarely does this happen, and only when a player retires suddenly and/or acrimoniously (see: Barry Sanders and Ricky Williams) does the team go after the player for the money.
  8. Hopefully the Bills can get TB's 4th pick in the 2nd round of the draft. That combined with the Bills' 23rd pick in the 2nd round add up to ~the 20th pick in the draft, which is what the Bills gave up for Losman. How funny would THAT be?
  9. Yep, that's the chance you take. The only person who knows for sure if he could have played is Abraham himself. And then when you DO give him the big money, does he play at less than 100% so that he can continue to make his big money? Frankly I think he'll be way too expensive to sign anyway.
  10. As of right now, there are 5 GM's who WOULD trade for Travis, and would probably be tripping over themselves to get him for a high 3rd round pick. But TD has made it known that he wants a 2nd rounder. For a young RB who's been to the Pro Bowl and put up excellent numbers and played hurt, and who still has potential to improve in certain areas, a 2nd rounder is a good deal.
  11. It's supposed to snow on Sunday in Philly. If that's the case, I can't see the Falcons winning. Even without snow, a dome team in frigid temps isn't exactly an easy thing to overcome.
  12. The local NE area sportswriters were talking about how the Steelers' O-line so thoroughly dominated the Pats' D-line in the first meeting, but that this time around the Steelers' O-line is still intact while the Pats are (most likely) without Seymour, and that doesn't bode well for NE. I see the past few weeks AND the weather telling Cowher to run, run, and run some more, and occasionally take some deep shots (McGinest said he was AMAZED that the Colts/Manning didn't attempt a pass over 18 yards last weekend). The Steelers know how to shut down Dillon, as they've held him to 57.7 YPG and a 3.2 YPC average over his career. And the Steelers can get to Brady. His O-line will have to have the games of their lives.
  13. I heard that no team with 12 or more wins EVER lost to a team with 12 or more losses. So when you say it's THE MOST EMBARRASSING LOSS OF THE LAST FIVE YEARS, you'd be wrong.
  14. True. I also didn't think that the Dolphins would beat the Pats on MNF. Go figure!
  15. I've been saying this for a few days now. The Steelers are going to win.
  16. The asking price for Henry is a 2nd round pick. TD will not trade him for anything less. With 5 teams interested and knowing TD's trade terms and that he doesn't need to trade Henry, I'd be willing to bet he gets a 2nd rounder for Henry at least.
  17. Like I said, I hope DB takes a paycut to stay and at least be a fallback option should JPL not be able to cut it. That would be the ideal situation, since cutting him would put a big dead money hit on the cap for a player no longer there. If they can get something in a trade, I'd consider that as well, but it would have to be a 1st day pick.
  18. I think LG is the minimum they need to upgrade. However I'll defer to McNally, and hopefully TD does as well. Mularkey's offense revolves around the running game. In Pgh he had a great O-line and good RB's, and thus a good running game.
  19. New system will take time to learn. And with Martin aging and Jordan probably gone, not to mention some UFA's on the Jets, they're more likely to take a step back.
  20. Add the Raiders and Panthers into the mix. That's 5 teams, all of whom play in warm weather and on grass, just like Travis wants. That will make a trade easier in terms of not having to worry about nixing the deal. I still say TB is the best option, because it's a situation Travis wants and because the Bucs are out of the division and have a 2nd rounder.
  21. Bingo, and from all indications (i.e. demanding Drew take a paycut), if Drew IS here next year, he'll have to compete for the job. However again, even if JP wins the job, the Bills need an O-line that can give them a power running game.
  22. Another thing is that Corey Dillon has only averaged 57.7 yards per carry against the Steelers lifetime, for a 3.2 YPC average.
