  1. There was someone who had all the updated rankings in his signature field....
  2. The way I read that, the Jags will be missing three starting linemen and one backup.
  3. It appears to me that women will mouth off with the thought that no one is going to hold them accountable. They usually are right, so then the women go, get even brasher and instigate fights between the men.
  4. I'll eat my Wheaties that morning. I've worked a few Nationals games, as well, and it get lively when the Phillies are in town. I am looking forward to the City of Brotherly Love's football fans.
  5. I just started working crowd control at Redskins games, as a fun second job. I only worked one game, so far, and it was preseason (against the Jags, as I went to the Bills-Skins game as a fan). It was hilarious and sickening at the same time. There certainly are women who think they can safely do whatever they want simply because of their gender. They cause the biggest problems, often. I think it so funny when some big, drunk guy, starts getting stupid. We'll tell the guy to come out into the concourse with us. There, away for other fans, we'll usually warn the guy and send him back in. But I was surprised by how many people at that point would tell us they weren't going to go outside with us. That's it. Now they're going to jail, and getting there the hard way. Idiots escalate the situation without any thought about the consequences and without realizing all they have to do is walk out with us for five minutes. After the training I just took, the one thing I'd advise everyone at a game -- don't retaliate if at all possible. If someone throws a beer at you and you go push the guy, we have to take you both out and turn you over to the police. Plus, the team revokes the ejected fans' season tickets. Now, if your buddy gave or sold you one of his season tickets (and there are all season tickets at the Skins' stadium), and you get ejected, you just lost your buddy's season tickets. So, the safe thing, albeit the seemingly wussy thing, to do is tell a guard. By the we way, I work for the same company (CSC) that control the crowds at the Ralph. I will be working next weekend when the Skins host the Saints. I am looking forward to when the Eagles and Giants come to town.
  6. Great lead-in to his latest blog...
  7. Bingo! Mitchell chasing Garrard all day long, with the "hit him as hard and often as possible" mindset in full swing, should equate into a very rough day for the Jags offense.
  8. Cleo Lemon I believe he appeared in three games as a stinkin' fish against the Bills, getting trashed each time.
  9. I hate the Titans, but they are not a mediocre team. Vince Young is their biggest problem, but they are a very solid team that has serious playoff potential this season. Don't overlook the Jags just because they failed to get into a groove in a rough, division matchup in Week 1.
  10. You're right, it seems like 15 years ago. Yes, Winfield and Phat Pat finally looked as if it was good they weren't Bills any more. Of course, it took how many years before this? The bottom-line won't change, they both had solid careers after TD let them walk.
  11. Taking away a team's two starting guards goes way deeper than simply trying to replace the lost talent. Out the window is chemistry, timing and intricate blocking schemes that take the entire preseason, if not longer, to learn. Such a drastic rash of injuries will require the Jags to change their gameplan. This is a negative for Jax, but it also means the Bills will face something of an unknown attack. But the inside blitz was very effective for the Bills this past Sunday. There probably isn't much Jax will be able to do stop that, other than roll Garrard out a lot and try a lot of screens. Don't forget they still have a banged up WR corps.
  12. I think 3-2 would mean the Bills are likely going to be on the outside looking in after Christmas. If Donte wants to follow-through on his guarantee, we NEED to be no worse than 4-1 at the break. That said, a win this Sunday "should" lead to a 5-0 start and total hysteria among bandwagoners, who have been without a ride for some time. To get waaaaaay ahead of ourselves, wouldn't it be great to go into our MNF game with 7, 8 or even 9 wins? It is possible if the Bills are able to keep their level of play at or at least near this past Sunday's.
  13. How many loses will it take until every wheel on the Pats* bandwagon fall off?
  14. I drafted Adrian Peterson with the third overall pick in a 12-team league. I then traded him for Lynch and Larry Fitzgerald. I robbed him! I also just dropped the Ravens D and picked up Buffalo's.
  15. I'd rather read Tim's coverage than anyone at the D&C or Snooze I don't think Brown has ever shown as much in the NFL as Lynch did last year.
  16. I'd send MacCargo anywhere for a linebacker better than Ellison. Plus, I'd be willing to throw in a 4th, 3rd or even a 2nd depending on how good this LB is. But what team is willing to part with a starting LB days before the season starts?
  17. That sounds fraudlent. If that is the case, how did the team docs not know? They check out every player.
  18. Bingo. Yet another risk by McCain that seemingly paid off very well.
  19. Since you deemed yourself the grammar police, you should watch your own writing. You used the possessive form of beagle. I believe you meant to use the plural form, instead.
  20. Ravens? They just named a rookie their starter after losing Boller for the year.
  21. Tonight's game is kicking off more than an hour earlier than the league originally wanted because the GOP's nominee for president of the United States is scheduled to delivery his acceptance speech shortly after 10 p.m. ET. But a longer than normal game could keep a lots of us football fans from watching Sen. John McCain's first big nationally telivised speech of the election. Washington Post reports... So, are you going to flip away from the game if it runs long? And will you stay tuned after the game to watch McCain?
  22. Well, making it official means he can get on that ballot in five years!
  23. This is an indictment of the team’s entire medical staff, in my uneducated, nonetheless strong opinion. I think heads need to roll over this huge waste.
