  1. Why do you think the reporter has to worry about what's going to happen "positive" by asking the question? He isn't a member of the team. He is a member of the press. I can tell you what might happen, the reporter might actually get a quote or at least a response, both of which make news. That's what he got, and that's why we're here talking about it.
  2. You are making absolutely no sense. No one's rights are being infringed upon in any way. Tell me how I am wrong. First, the reporter is well within his Constitutional right to ask and say whatever he wants, whether you think it is in poor taste of not. I don't care about a press release or anything else, the reporter has the right to ask whatever he wants as many times as he wants. Marshawn has the right to answer it or not answer it in any way he so chooses. So both people were able to fully exercise their rights.
  3. Oh, you think this could run him out of town? You live on the other coast, right? You think the media would be nicer or more considerate over there? No way, not anywhere. The media's job is not to keep a team on the right track. Their job is to cover the news. I am not sure the accident is still news, though, but since he never gave anything other than a canned, lawyer-written statement about it, yeah, there is value for a reporter to ask the question.
  4. I don't care who he is playing, to say beating another team "shouldn't be that hard," which is exactly what he said, is trash talking. It says he does not respect the Pats* ability to play anymore just because they lost Brady.
  5. True enough. It really makes my stomach churn. The only way to stop it is to stop watching, reading and listening to "news" outlets that go that direction. They are forced to go the way the consumers want them to.
  6. You could call him a dumbass or you could say he was doing his job. There is fine line in journalism. My opinion on this one is that the reporter didn't need to ask the question at this point as that whole ordeal is long over and there are plenty of other newsworthy topics that should be discussed. But, I do not think the reporter should refrain from asking that question simply because it will keep Lynch pissed or cause the media boycott to resume.
  7. I really didn't think he looked that bad. He is guarded and unenthused, sure, but I don't think it was that bad. I am guessing the team's PR staff worked a deal between the regular press corps and Marshawn, setting ground rules.
  8. I'd really like to see him back it up, but come on... this has to be among the dumbest things a player has said in a while. I think the stinkin' fish are going to lose by 30+ Sunday. Fox Sports reports
  9. Are you sure? I could have sworn TD wanted to wear them because he thought they were good luck. Your explanation seems more logical, but that doesn't make it correct. I cannot find any reference to them wearing them to ward off the heat. Here's what I found... http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=3386 http://www.buffalobills.com/news/news.jsp?news_id=3391
  10. A win Sunday would be the 2008 Bills' third win in as many jerseys. I remember when the Bills won that first game wearing them again sthe Texans. TD got so giddy he ordered the team to wear them the next week against the Bucs and lost.
  11. I've been to Waikiki many times, and it can get REALLY expensive. I mean, that could run into a couple grand, easily.
  12. I was shocked by the end of this article... I cannot imagine... Al Davis will be rooting for the Bills Sunday, I am sure of it.
  13. You have just entered the Twilight Zone.
  14. Agreed. Let's give this kid a chance. How beneficial to the Bills is it to saddle this kid with the expectations of say Eli Manning or Philip Rivers? It won't help a bit. Besides, don't prod the football gods!
  15. Agreed. And as I saw you gathered over at the Raider message board, the fans there still have no respect for Mr. Walker. This is also Lynch's first game against his hometown team.
  16. The guy's second career has been crime. He was sentenced to six months in prison in 2001 after getting caught with counterfeit cash during a police sting targeting a stolen vehicle. He was sentenced to a year in 2004 after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor for stealing a credit card from a golf course. And he was charged last year with felony breaking and entering a building to steal a more credit cards. That's what he gets for messing with the Bills in XXV.
  17. Marshawn is due for a very big game. I say he knocks the eye patch off the Raiders and puts up 2 TDs and nearly 200 yards on the ground. They have a good D, and we will attack it hard because that isn't what they'll expect. Once our boys get a little momentum, they'll be impossible to stop. That isn't the homer in me either, well, not consciously.
  18. Vic Ketchman, the Jags' answer to the Bills' Chris Brown, tops his Q&A column with this gem: Michael from Jacksonville I am a season ticket holder and make every game no matter the weather condition. I tell you, this Sunday was the worst but, the last quarter of a close game at home, our team can use our support. It is embarrassing to have other team fans become louder than our own fans when the game is 17-16. Vic: Disappointment can send people to their cars late in the game. When my dad took me to games when I was a kid, I lived in fear of the inevitable late-game, “Let’s go.” I understand that thinking and make allowances for it. What I don’t understand is the alien abductions at halftime. If I’m going to buy a ticket and go to the trouble of driving, parking, finding my seat, etc., I’m not gonna leave at halftime. That one I can’t figure out. It has to be aliens. http://www.jaguars.com/News/Article.aspx?id=7257
  19. Chris Brown makes no mention of an injury, only saying he will find out why later. No worries....
  20. This is only after two games, but both games were against 2007 playoff teams.
  21. Strictly as a fan who strongly dislikes the Raiders, I would like to think the Bills were the team to put the final nail in the coffin. But, really, I think it would be better for the Bills if Kiffin were to be fired this week, maybe even something crazy like Friday afternoon. You never know with Al Davis in charge. I don't really want to face a team full of guys playing their hearts out in hopes they can save their beloved and beleaguered coach's job.
  22. Because the Raiders needed another distraction...
  23. One of the tougher guys from years past is Shane Conlan. I remember stories about him saying he actually played better in games in which he suffered a concussion early on.
