  1. "Grasping" an NFL system, even for a vet, isn't as easy as you may think. The learning curve will be steep, and it will take time. I think if he shows Monday he doesn't even dress until Week 2. Don't forget the health our of skill players are at serious risk with each mistake a LT makes. In a live game is not the place to be learning. This is what Peters has done to the team and to himself.
  2. Did you say Ranch dressing? You mean blue cheese, right? Right? RIGHT?
  3. Well, that would be a good point if it wasn't for the fact that Dan Snyder elected to instead hire a guy who had never even been a coordinator and just been fired as the QB coach in Seattle. Snyder decided he wanted a yes man again, some one who would feel like he was really, really lucky to have the job so he would bend over backward to keep the owner happy. Greggo wanted the same level of control Gibbs had. Plus, it is widely speculated around these parts Snyder figured he'd throw a guy no one cared about for a year as a place holder until The Chin is ready to get back into coaching. I'd bet if Bill Cower was to come back into the league after this season, Dan Snyder will do whatever it takeso to make him the Skins' new coach and GM. But don't get me wrong, I was very happy when the Bills let him go. They should have let TD go at the same time.
  4. Prioleau knows Gregggggo's system and doesn't suck in it. Now take him out of that system, and forget about it. He is a lot like Todd Collins in Al's system last year.
  5. Actually, he ran the Skins' D from 2004-2007. That's four seasons, not one. His D ranked 3rd in the NFL in 2004 and 9th in 2005. I am not sure of the exact ranking last year, but I know it was in the NFC's top-10 all season. I think he is a very good DC., He may just not be suited to head coach, but we'll know for sure in the coming years as he is sure to get another shot.
  6. That fact can not be said loud enough. Losing him will mean a lot to the Colts, without a doubt.
  7. Nice job, Coach Tuesday. Any time the Bills are inserted into a conversation for a good reason is great!
  8. Thanks for the info. I would hae to presume The Chin is watching teams very closely now as he is surely thinking about where he might be interested in landing next season. Not saying he would be the Bills coach, but he has tobe paying attention to who is up and coming everywhere to make a choice.
  9. You have a point. And for me, it's not even about checking to see if the poster copied and pasted it over accurately. It is about giving the author credit. If this was Chris Brown's work, his bosses aren't going to know about all the readers who read it here because we never have to go to the Bills' site to see it. So his bosses have to estimate how many see it. These things add up for reporters.
  10. Nope, one of the guys definately said it in the first half. I think it was in the first quarter. Then he mentioned the two TD catches against the Steelers.
  11. Damn, I really like Fine. He held my 1-year-old at camp. Well, if you heard the commentators Sunday night, Royal is one of the league's best tight ends.
  12. Drop James from the DBs and add Bell to the OL.
  13. WR Darnerien McCants cut by the Ravens. Damn, if you cannot make the Ravens' squad as a WR, it just might be time to find a grocery store that's hiring.
  14. Yes, and Pope is a former stinkin' fish who had a monster game against us when he filled in for an injured Zach Thomas.
  15. http://www.nfl.com/transactions
  16. Linebackers Grant Irons and Derrick Pope.
  17. I love it. Living 20 miles from Baltimore, I see a lot of loser Raven fans wearing McGahee's jersey. I often approach them, introduce myself as a Bills fan, and thank them for taking him off our hands. I then thank them for giving us one of the most promising young QBs in the league and Marcus freakin' Stroud. Lots of head hanging going on for Ravens fans.
  18. I have to agree with Finkle here.
  19. You just keep sounding smarter and smarter.
  20. We're we all just suppose to red your mind? There are actually several topics being discussed on this board. And did your post really warrant an entire new thread?
  21. The crazy thought crossed my mind as I saw the stats come across my cell phone as the game was played. But as I watched the replay at midnight, and I saw how sharp Edwards' passes were, I knew they were not the result of a defense taking a dive. Then again, the kickoff TD return looked a big uncontested. I think we can just chalk this up to really good timing on the Bills' part. Besides, if the NFL was going to put its rep on the line to orchestrate this, why not put it on national TV?
  22. I think he may have improved his hands. Of course, it is only preseason. I'd say Youboty hurt his chances, Wright hurt his chances, Omon didn't hurt his chances, and Anderson didn't do anything. But Shouman actually hurting himself obviously helps Anderson fo the time being. Royal, Fine and Corner didn't need to do anything.
  23. Schouman is the penciled in starter right now. A lot would have to happen for Anderson to make the squad over Schouman. Fine posed for a photo with my 1-year-old son, so he has to make the team.
  24. Thanks, Lori. I just sent him one. The pitching to Bills fans isn't something we see nearly often enough.
  25. How the hell did Seau know right where Trent was going?
