  1. He couldn't stay away from it for the biggest event of this life so far, and we're suppose to expect him to do so once he gets that first big payday? Too much risk. Sure, you put Sapp out there as an example, but how many others are there who let drugs ruin their very bright futures? Countless...
  2. Coach: Marv QB: Jimbo RB: Thurmal WRs: Andre, Lofton and Chandler TE: Metzelaars OLs: DeLamielleure, Ritcher, Hull, Shaw and Wolford DLs: Bruce, Sestak and Hansen LBs: Biscuit, Stratton, Tracey and Talley CBs: Byrd and Odomes Ss: Saimes and Greene K: Christie -- I really wanted to put Norwood here, but I couldn't P: Moorman ST: Tasker
  3. He already has another infraction -- contempt of court -- for not fulfilling his community service obligations as part of the deal the judge gave him after the altercation with the Rochester City Police officer.
  4. Comcast posted a "message" through its cable boxes that it has been negotiating with the NFLN and that it wasn't being allowed to offer it anymore after May 1, not even for an increased fee. That seems unbelievable to me. My neighbor and I are looking into putting up a pole that would let us get a couple Dishes high enough to get a signal (we're in a heavily treed valley. Now more than ever, I hope we can do it.
  5. Thanks to all you who voted. Well, other than Ray Finkle. Joey won it. http://viviennephotography.blogspot.com/20...-winner-is.html
  6. Agreed. But stay away from those USFL coaches, even if they coached in the CFL before!
  7. I'm ready to call that whole draft class a waste. Did we really need to draft three WRs? I mean, our second 2nd-round pick Chris Burkett seems OK, but why waste a pick the next day on this Andre Reed guy? And why draft Frank Reich? A 3rd-round pick for this guy?! He's seen what, 15 snaps? He pulls off one lucky "miracle" in college and he gets a free pay check from old man Ralph?!
  8. Did you come across that, Beerball, during a search for Lynch?
  9. Thank you for the vote. Excellent post. No, I am not worried. Of course, only the two older ones even know what a contest is, and they understand this particular contest is a crap-shoot. That said, we've never had a problem letting them play sports in which a score is kept -- no matter how young they are. They learn that every contest has a winner and losers. They learn sportsmanship. They understand life has its ups and its downs, but in the end, it is what you make of it.
  10. You would. Ha ha. Thanks to everyone ELSE!
  11. Thank you! I think I'll keep them. Thank you very much. Ah, just saying, but if you want to vote for more than one, clearing your cookies will let 'ya. Thank you! I appreciate it. Anyone doubting Joey's allegiance to the Bills can check out his photo I link to in my signature line. He is a big Derek Fine fan now.
  12. I know this is a terribly shameful LAMP, but here goes... My four children are each in a photo contest online. Voting goes through tomorrow night (Friday). I am asking any one willing to take a look and please vote for one or more of my children. They all are big Bills fans! Gabrielle is #6, Josh is #7, Stephen is #9 and Joey #is 11. http://answers.polldaddy.com/poll/1473954/ Thanks a ton! P.S. The link should work now.
  13. I know we're shooting for the stars here, but if Brady tossed three picks and TO has 180 yards, I would hope we'd win by more than seven.
  14. The rules regarding the wedge could really hurt us. Bobby April really has his work cut out for him now. I predict the NFL will see kickoffs returned for TDs cut nearly in half this upcoming season. Does this hurt or help Parrish's value?
  15. I am sure he is not what he use to be. But last seasons he still grabbed 10 touchdowns, more than 1,000 yards and nearly 100 catches. All of those numbers were better than Evans. As a matter of a fact, Evans has never had that many TDs or catches in one season, and only once did he slightly have more receiving yards. Lastly, Gonzalez said he is not actively seeking to be traded, adding he remained neutral on the matter. “I’m just going with the flow,” Gonzalez said Tuesday. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/9376864...-trade?MSNHPHMA
  16. That seems to be the obvious answer, but we should also keep in mind that TO very much wants to win a Super Bowl before hanging up the turf shoes. First, I think TO and TG would be willing to take part in an offense that really spreads the ball around if it meant a legit chance at a championship. Second, it we were to acquire TG, the overhaul of the offense would become even more immense, finding ways to get even more passes in the air. At least one of the big three would be open every play -- or our running backs would have lanes all the way to the endzone.
  17. You are preaching to the choir. The reasoning that comes from the team's front office is that the cold and wind makes selling tickets for December games more difficult than games earlier in the season.
  18. That is great news. First off, Brees is among the top-three quarterbacks in the league IMHO. I like the fact that Ed2wards is actively seeking ways to improve on his weaknesses.
  19. Won't happen. They want that game to be in December. But starting the season against the Pats* and then the Colts in the first two weeks would be OK with me.
  20. Opening the season on Monday night in Foxboro. I like it. We might as well jump in head-first. You know Brady won't play much, if at all, during the preseason, so he could be rusty. TO shines in the spotlight, so I think a big night from him is quite possible.
  21. The bottom-line is that having Shaun Rogers lined up next to Marcus Stroud would instantly give us a top-10 (maybe better) defense. It would make Poz look a whole lot better, it would make our DBs look a whole lot better, and it would make Jauron look a whole lot better. The same reason was applied when the team decided to get TO.
  22. I really do like the idea of promoting a lot more regional rivalries. This would do that well. But it would hurt TV ratings big time. Right now, now matter which AFC East opponent the Bills are facing, a big market is involved, while a Bills vs anyone in that fictional division would not have a major market involved. The Bills division would do terribly in national interest.
  23. It could get bad -- for them. He is their offense.
  24. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2009/03/n...s_jones_is.html
  25. The Deadskins fill their stadium more than half way up and then fly the first-round pick(s) right to the stadium during the party. They let people park and come in for free, but they have the concession stands open for business.
