Byrd is still at school, per NFL rules. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1...36-ee90886a2855
-
Well put.
-
I suppose Brown would say he posted it because his job is to through his blog give insight not readily available to fans or the normal media. I am not saying I agree that applies in this case, and I certainly am NOT trying to speak for or defend Brown, but this is my best guess as to how he justified posting it. To me, waiting until he signs with another team clearly shows he knew this information would be seen as negative toward Hargrove.
-
My point was not that I disbelieved VOR. Rather, I think it is important to give credit where it is due. Chris Brown (thanks for the answer, VOR) put the report together, so he deserves to have the information attributed to him.
-
Also, I believe these percentages and attendance numbers differ in that one counts heads while the other counts tickets actually paid for. I am not talking about people sneaking in; I am referring to tickets comped or gifted or donated. I forget exactly, but I recall a thread about this a few years back that ended up with the full explanation.
-
Actually, if you look at what percentage of paid seating is indeed paid for, they are near the bottom of the league: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/attendance?s...c&year=2008 I know no one is going to want to see this, but it needs to be put out there then someone is calling someone else out for reporting untruths.

Do you have a source to give due credit? Or are you there at the OTAs?

And if Hargrove did sign off, Brown should have said that in his piece. Full disclosure needed...
-
My mind when the say way when reading it. As Lori wrote, we don't know under what circumstances, conditions and context this conversation took place. That said, on the surface, seeing that Chris Brown didn't state how this all came up, it appears Brown probably used bad judgment in writing this. First, Hargrove now seems to be in a position to cause some real problems for the Bills, in that defamation of character, etc., could be construed even if Brown has this conversation recorded. Second, and probably a bigger issue for Brown, is that current players may read the blog post and lose trust in Brown. That is often the real concern for the reporter. Let the management deal with the disgruntled story subject, but when a story causes your sources to dry up, you're in trouble as a reporter. Even with Brown's luxury of being on the Bills payroll, I would, if I were a player, think twice before opening up to Brown now.

If Rochester was too wild and crazy for him, the Big Easy is going to call out all 11 of his personalities.

Having a receiver who can effectively run deep comeback routes will be key this year. TO is big enough, physical enough and football-smart enough to really change games with this; it forces safeties to stay off the top and can drive corners off the ball. And as Trent pointed out, it takes a very fit WR to execute often. to TO
-
I thought TO did outstanding. He seemed to legitimately have his feet grounded, which has to be a one huge challenge given all the hoopla. He mentioned the fan turnout and the whole huge welcome was more than he expected. I think that is good. This is what his type really loves and appreciates. Anyone who has watched him over the years knows he plays hard, but I think all of this will give him even another aspect of motivation to play his hardest and try his best to lift the entire team. Great job Buffalo!

I think you need to get a sure answer to the question in your post before you start calling him a turd or demanding he is locked up. I agree that whoever did this should be punished, but the police report's contents leave plenty of reasonable doubt, in my mind.

Fast Freddie's contract extension numbers / terms are.......
scribo replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Freddy got hosed. And I now completely understand why he said he was surprised the process didn't go smoothly. The Bills should have gotten this deal done long ago with Freddy being amicable to such low numbers. I think he could have played his ass off this year and commanded $5+ million/year in 2010. Any which way, I am very happy Freddy will be a Bill for at least four more years. -
If this article accurately captures the full depth of the case against Corey, he will be easily acquitted . Unfortunately, the damage will already be done, and his NFL career is likely over.

Edwards, Evans the Centre of attention at Jays game
scribo replied to Billsbacker88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree. The NFL is about regionalism. There are only 32 teams, but the NFL wants everyone in the United States to care about at least one team. Now they want everyone in North America and Europe to care about at least one team. It is business growing. In 1940, Dick and Mac McDonald didn't need anything but San Bernardino, Calif. -

I don't any problem with last night. Marketing in Toronto has to be bigger than just the one game per season. The Bills want and need the support of Toronto for every home game. I don't see this any differently that the Bills holding camp in Rochester. It is all about regionalism. Don't forget the NFL and all its teams are businesses. -
