I agree with everything you said in this and the post before. One thing that hasn't been discussed is the one reference to Fred's "3year plan" to be the oldest RB to ever carry a ball in the league. Before this I think most people would have considered the most reasonable scenario if the Bills did keep him would be one more year then retire a Bill. Three more years would have been ludicrous. It seems to me there became a disconnect on when retire as a Bill would actually occur.

The best thing the Bills could do is have a succession plan in place to have a current assistant in place to take over with the same offense if roman leaves. Would suck to have to bring in some high profile guy who tosses everything out to run his own offense ( all this assumes Romans offense was incredibly successful of course)

I think he still needs to improve quite a bit from where he is as a pocket passer seeing the whole play develop before taking off. if things stay the way they are, I see the same issues as with other running QBs - receivers getting frustrated, teams putting spies and shutting down the scrambling, negative plays outweighing the occasional scramble for a 1st down etc. Would still probably rather see him out there than Cassel - who doesn't excite me at all. Just have the nagging feeling that receivers are going to get very frustrated with him if he can't change his game
