  1. And how long are you going to give him to actually complete three games?
  2. One thing that seems obvious is OL men need to be athletic AND intelligent to be successful in this scheme, which is probably why they were so over the top high on Miller's intelligence, but also may be why they haven't been able to find a full suite of capable backups
  3. Let's see what Rob Hanrahan can come up with
  4. But who would be interested in O'Leary - he did nothing to show he can play at this level. I would think more interest in Lewis and Brown - although trying to hide one of them through the first week would mean keeping 8 WRs (even though 2 of those are really ST guys)
  5. Wow what a rollercoaster this offseason has been
  6. I'm assuming they instructed him to throw a pass 20 yds the wrong way last night just keep other teams off the scent

  8. This may be one of the greatest things I've ever read
  9. The Cheaters are doubling the amount of listening devices all over their facility as we speak
  10. The benefit of Sunday Ticket is access to all the games - all this is doing is making a single game available (one a national game you would get on your TV regardless)
  11. I really like Fairburn, although he did start to suffer a tiny bit from Bills beat write snark disease this camp. He actually tries to write articles with a fully developed concept instead of just regurgitated blurbs. And on slow days can tell he racks his brain to come up with different ideas to write about
  12. Was it my imagination or were they also doing the train noise indiscriminately (constantly) - I thought that was previously reserved for 3rd down?
  13. This is a great list. Who would have thought that Joe Ferguson had more yards than Roosevelt Leaks
  14. I agree with everything you said in this and the post before. One thing that hasn't been discussed is the one reference to Fred's "3year plan" to be the oldest RB to ever carry a ball in the league. Before this I think most people would have considered the most reasonable scenario if the Bills did keep him would be one more year then retire a Bill. Three more years would have been ludicrous. It seems to me there became a disconnect on when retire as a Bill would actually occur.
  15. The best thing the Bills could do is have a succession plan in place to have a current assistant in place to take over with the same offense if roman leaves. Would suck to have to bring in some high profile guy who tosses everything out to run his own offense ( all this assumes Romans offense was incredibly successful of course)
  16. Agreed. This move has more to do with Karlos than anything. Once they drafted him, I think Fred's fate was sealed
  17. - Really wish Dareus would have kept his mouth shut about his contract. Just play football and let the process play out. To me is another sign of still some immaturity there - I think Andre Davis is the one who emerges in the FA WR race. He looks like a baller. Thompson seems to be in position to make plays a lot but a lot of times doesn't make the great play to make the catch even if there is contact etc. Good to see Goodwin get back in the game, but at this point I don't know how you can think that he won't miss many games because of injury. What good is keeping a player that never can play - Wish Carpenter would handle kickoffs, but doubt they will force that extra work on his leg with him just coming back. Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to free up a roster spot and send Gay on his way - I also had that sinking memory of Pettine's D giving up big plays and not getting off the field on 3rd downs. Hopefully things will all come together by week 1 - I think they keep 3 QBs. Think EJ looked the best I have ever seen him. If he could just get rid of those clunker throws every once in a while and be consistent This game I felt that TT might be the type to really get better over time with more game experience in going through his reads and not just taking off. There were reports that he was missing open receivers. I think he still needs to improve quite a bit from where he is as a pocket passer seeing the whole play develop before taking off. if things stay the way they are, I see the same issues as with other running QBs - receivers getting frustrated, teams putting spies and shutting down the scrambling, negative plays outweighing the occasional scramble for a 1st down etc. Would still probably rather see him out there than Cassel - who doesn't excite me at all. Just have the nagging feeling that receivers are going to get very frustrated with him if he can't change his game
  18. Hate to say it but I don't see how you can keep Goodwin on the roster. Just can't go any amt of time without injury
  19. Monday night countdown doing an amazing job of ignoring the Bills
  20. "The Bugger" is actually pronounced Booger, and his nickname came not from placing illegal listening devices, but was rather for his proclivity for picking his nose
