  1. And Obama was the president. I think his days of double digit sacks are over. He’s probably a 4-6 sack guy but sooner rather than later Father Time is going to catch him.
  2. I think his low cap cost is why he is still here. If he had a high price tag like Williams or Feliciano, he would have been cut already. I like Bates but he was previously on the bench for a reason. Saffold is only a 1 year deal. There are some concerns about his pass blocking. I’m hoping we draft IOL in the first or 2nd day of the draft. Hopefully, someone that Kromer really likes. Giving Josh time in the pocket is key to making our offense go.
  3. Moving Edmunds would save $12+M. No dead money. Moving Milano is over a $12M dead money hit. I don’t see Poyer or Hyde going anywhere, especially Hyde due to over $10.6 M dead cap. Franchise tag for Knox possible next year.
  4. In years gone by, Tim Couch and Marcus Davenport were a couple of my favorites.
  5. Terry, please don’t be a meddling owner during the draft. For every Micah Parsons there are plenty of Aaron Maybins and Courtney Browns.
  6. The question was to name 2 players that could be picked. I don’t really have to explain why but I happen to feel he could be a good value if he falls to the late mid to late teens. I don’t think he is there at 25. He must know Tre’Davious White since White is so well connected at LSU. This could be good for his development in addition to being coached by McDermott and Butler. Sometimes it takes a season to recover from an injury. I’ll agree, he is a boom or bust kind of pick and risky if taken in the top 10. edit: Stingley’s pro day showed he had only 30.5 inch arms. Not very good if you are looking for length. 6’2” is good and 4.44 forty is good. Maybe he will be there at pick 24.
  7. Bearcats CB. spelled with a C instead of K but pronounced the same.
  8. Coby Bryant Chris Paul Wait...wrong sport Derek Stingley Jr. (if we somehow trade up) Calvin Austin
  9. Possible but Carolina has no 2nd or 3rd round picks this year.
  10. Agree. Picks #16 and 19 for pick #5. Won’t happen until the draft to freeze Carolina at #6
  11. Gilmore left in free agency before Beane was even hired as GM. That was Doug Whaley and McDermott.
  12. Josh can’t call tails every time. That was the problem with our overtime loss to KC.
  13. Brandon Smith looks like he is built in the lab but is slow to process the play. Please not at pick #25
  14. Not that fond of Bengals OL cast offs although Bodine did get us a draft pick from the Patriots. Bobby Hart hasn't been very good.
  15. How about comp picks? Jordan Phillips, Shaq Lawson, and Roger Saffold don't count since they were released by their former clubs. Also, Keenum doesn't count since he was acquired in a trade. Gillan, Webb, and A. Williams do not count since they were futures deals from the practice squad. Klein, D. Williams, Feliciano, Star, and Beasley were all cuts. Correct me if I'm wrong but my tally so far: Gains = 9 Losses = 5 Probably no comp picks next year.
  16. Brandon Beane's worst signing. Unmotivated after he got the big payday. Addition by subtraction. Take the big hit this year and he will be off the books next year.
  17. I was thinking that all 4 teams in that division will make the playoffs then realized that they may beat each other up so bad that it could be only 1 or 2.
  18. If we play them early in the season, we will face Mitch. If we play them late, we face Malik Willis😉
  19. The Steelers will still try to draft Malik Willis. A 2 year deal for Mitch is not their long term solution. He is the seat warmer for Willis or whoever they end up drafting.
  20. So who will be the new coach and GM for Washington next year?
  21. Best to let the first wave pass. After 5/1, the signings don’t count. Also good to sign the cap cut guys, as they also do not count. Trading a later round pick for a good player is also a way to potentially pick up a 3rd round comp pick for Trubisky.
