I said it earlier - we had to keep an eye on which LB the Rams cut. They were deep. I read reports that Paul was impressive in camp too, so it’s a bit surprising. Makes it all the more impressive that Dolac beat him out. Too bad he’s not LB4 or 5 in Buffalo.

By most accounts White had shown better in camp than Trubisky, but in games it was a wash at best. If he was going to take Trubisky’s job, he had to clearly out play him and although it was a bit unfair he never got time with the 1st string OL (as Mitch did in game 1), White still missed on plays that were there to be made. Can’t do that if you’re trying to take the incumbent’s job. Gotta hit on those passes.

I think the 53 yarder against the Ravens in those weather conditions also granted him another season. If he missed that, it’s possible they’d be looking - at least for competition.

ENOUGH with Micah Parsons and his run defense. Again, we’re not losing playoff games because we can’t stop the run. Parsons is 2nd best in the ENTIRE LEAGUE at doing what we struggle to do - pressure and sack the QB. It would be a blessing if he was a Buffalo Bill. As Leodis McKelvin used to say, “point blank, period!”

“Make an example out of him.” What did he do besides carry himself with inflated arrogance? The league will humble you whoever you are so that persona wasn’t really a concern. It’s not like he was accused of rape, or murder.

Yeah I think he’d be perfect in that “Big Nickel” role, but as a starter is merely average - and has a propensity to injure himself and teammates. He’s not a piece I’d want as a long term starter.

If it is another serious injury, he should call it a career. Let’s all hope it wasn’t serious, but the cart doesn’t usually come into play in those situations.

I hope Mike White at least gets the opportunity to play with the starting OL as Mitch had in preseason game 1. Reporters said that yesterday’s practice was really bad offensively, with Allen demonstratively upset quite a few times. Guess McD isn’t concerned about the live reps and feels the starters are ready.

Skyy Moore was going to be cut. The Niners just guaranteed they’d be the team to get him, for a late round 6/7 pick swap.

He typically has the opposing offense’s full attention.

As others have already pointed out, there was no getting ahead of JAX, unless you tried to make a deal with them and lied about the player you were taking - but they probably weren’t dropping back 5 spots and risking BTJ anyway, not with the amount of teams that went receiver at the end of round 1.

I’ve never watched UB football, but posters here have said Dolac was much better than Andreesen.

I remember when he was booming punts with the Titans, I thought he was still there. Dude made the all rookie team and was a 2nd team All Pro. Lead the league in punting. I don’t know why he wasn’t tendered by TEN and how he wound up losing the punting battle in MIA. On the surface I would’ve said he’s much better than Robbins, but there has to be a reason why he’s already looking for his 3rd team.

I know McD has said that safety “is the most challenging position to learn in our defense.” And I remember that quote because it took me by surprise. I would’ve thought MLB was the most challenging with all its responsibilities.

For what it’s worth, Simmons had a poor rating from PFF, a 59.9 which ranked 113th among 171 qualifying safeties in 2024. The Falcons also decided not to bring him back, BUT you’d still have to believe a 3 time All Pro who’s up there in age is still better than what we have.

Team has been outscored 25-72 in 2 preseason games against the mighty Giants and Bears. I know these games mean nothing in terms of final score, but that disparity is an indictment on the Bills overall depth.

I remember in the pre draft process Cole said he used to win most of the battles against Kincaid in practice at Utah. Kincaid concurred. That no doubt endeared Cole to the Bills and they even tried to trade up for him. It’d be a tragedy if the reality of it all was that neither one of these guys are more than an average NFL player, a JAG, given the high investments in both.

Definitely would be more helpful than Hairston at this stage, especially considering how he’s been one of the standouts at Seahawks camp.
