  1. Yeah I think the Rams lied to him. They gave up White and a 7th to get back a 7th. They pretty much just gave him away for free. Highly doubt other teams (especially losing ones) would’ve been acquiring about Tre, just like I highly doubt the Rams would’ve refused better offers.
  2. Let me first say that I’m a wuss when it comes to the cold. Don’t like it, never have. My sister and her fiancé are converted Bills fans thanks to my fandom and wanted to go to the Jets game before getting married in Niagara Falls on the 31st. I wish she would’ve consulted with me before buying tickets, because I would’ve been perfectly happy to watch in a warm Bills bar! In the past we parked in Hammer’s Lot and chowed down on Rande’s strombolis, but given the new stadium’s usage of space, how challenging is parking nowadays? God forbid if there’s snow on the ground taking up additional room. Would it be wiser to take an Uber to the game? If so, is there a designated pickup/drop off spot? Lastly, how does a non-drinker who hates the cold get through a 4 hour December game in Buffalo? 😅
  3. I said it in the postgame thread, he didn’t look out of place. With that said, I didn’t think Bishop brought anything more than Hamlin because he played more careful, like a player who didn’t want to make a mistake, versus a guy who was actively looking to make a play. Of course that would change with more reps and confidence. Would like to see more of him than Hamlin going forward.
  4. He said he was good in the presser, it was precautionary.
  5. Thought Elam performed well. Rough game overall from the LBs. Bishop also didn’t look out of place to me, though his contribution wasn’t too far from Hamlin. Just kinda out there. More concerned with not making a mistake than making a play.
  6. If Jameis had brought his A game it would’ve been a fun one.
  7. Jayden Daniels is so ridiculously composed for a rookie. If we had a redraft he’d go #1.
  8. I would very much like the Chiefs and Ravens to square off in the 2nd round. Let one of them eliminate the other.
  9. Jaguars look better on offense with McCorkle at QB than they do with Lawrence. And I say that even with the horrific run around sack Jones would’ve taken if not for the penalty.
  10. Any given Sunday. The Browns did beat the Ravens and Steelers, but I’d be surprised if KC didn’t find the proverbial horseshoe again to pull out another improbable win.
  11. They’ve got 3 good games in the late window, better than anything on SNF or MNF. I don’t like it.
  12. With Rousseau, I need more of an impact on a game to game basis. He disappears far too much for my liking to entertain re-signing him at $25M/yr. There’s no way I would as GM. He has 19 QB hits, but did you know the vast majority of those came in 3 games? He hit Kyler Murray 3 times, CJ Stroud 3 times, and Mason Rudolph 6 times. When Beane drafted DEs back to back, his rationale for doing that was “we have to affect the QB.” That’s a direct statement. How did Rousseau do against the better QBs we’ve played? Tua (2 games): 1 sack, 1 QB hit Lamar Jackson: 0 sacks, 0 QB hits CJ Stroud: 0 sacks, 3 QB hits Aaron Rodgers: 0 sacks, 0 QB hits Patrick Mahomes: 0 sacks, 2 QB hits Matt Stafford: 0 sacks, 0 QB hits TOTAL: 1 sack, 6 QB hits He has gone against some subpar tackles as well, so you’d like to get more consistency game to game, especially against the better QBs in the league. The game today against Goff will be telling.
  13. Greg Rousseau had 3 sacks in the opening game against the Cardinals. He’s got 2.5 sacks in the other 12. As much as people are getting on Oliver, they should also be asking Rousseau “where’s the impact?”
  14. Yep, given the strong reaction by his teammates and the “selfish” comments, it’s not difficult to put two and two together. When Greenlaw had to come out, it was Campbell’s way of saying “nope, you don’t get to go back to me now” and he literally walked away from the team.
  15. Think he was pouting b/c Greenlaw took his spot when he returned from injury. It’s the only thing that makes sense, he had started all season I believe.
  16. If Ingram trots out there and starts over Elam, then there’s no reason Elam shouldn’t have been unloaded for whatever they could’ve gotten. Add on his inactive designations and it’d be clear the coaching staff doesn’t believe in him. Could’ve traded down and got Kyle Gordon or Cam Taylor-Britt in the 2nd round of that same draft. Both starters for their respective teams. Whoever plays in place of Douglas, I hope he balls out.
  17. There’s a weird dynamic in the league where the decision to re-sign a QB is either top market value or almost nothing. There’s not a lot of middle ground contracts - Geno Smith at somewhere around $33M/yr is the only one that I can think of. How much does Carr make? He could be the 2nd. You can re-sign Purdy, but it would have to be a middle type contract, nothing nowhere near $50M+/yr.
  18. Stafford was on a heater last week. That sort of performance wasn’t easily replicated, virtually every freaking pass was on the money and the WRs made some amazing catches. The “TD” pass Stafford just blew to a wide open Nacua would’ve been a TD last week.
  19. 9ers are without a doubt winning the LoS on defense. They’re solid against the run and pass. Not to mention their secondary is sticky like glue and don’t concede easy stuff.
  20. One of Ed’s worst reps that sticks in my mind was a 4th and 5 versus the Dolphins in the 2nd matchup. Tua ended up rushing for the first down and on the play Daquan was doubled and Oliver was singled. Ed was getting manhandled by the guard and even jumped in the air to try to disengage from him. Still couldn’t. Ed looked like a JV player wrestling his dad, I was surprised how easily he was controlled.
  21. Stafford was absolutely dialed in against the Bills. Not so much against the 9ers.
  22. Funny thing is, if and when the team decides to go back to Williams, he likely won’t step in and play as free and fast as he did before the benching. Game reps matter and he’s been closer to a healthy scratch than a regular contributor.
  23. There was a draft video circulating at the time where Beane was targeting two LBs in the 3rd. One was Dorian Williams as we know because he was selected, the other was rumored to be Overshown.
