I'm feeling left out, so i just wanted to take this time to let you know that you, sir, are a !@#$ing idiot for this post. The voices in this whacko's head were certainly much louder than anyone on the radio.

I agree that competition was better for the games in general and lots of your criticisms are legit. I don't like certain aspects of the game that you mentioned, most notably that OL/DL ratings seemed to have little to do with skill level. But the 2k5 love is like a good fishing story. It was a good game when it came out. Better than Madden? Debatable. I played both that year and thought were decent. But the further we get away from 2k5, the better and better game it becomes in the minds of 2k5 fans. It was decent. It wasn't great. To listen to 2k5 fans now you'd think the game gave you a BJ at halftime. Madden has problems that still need to be worked out. I'm not going to deny it It appears they are making a concerted effort to address some of these problems. Take a look for yourself at http://insideblog.easports.com/Default.asp...amp;PageIndex=1 and see what you think. Go ahead and read through the articles and maybe you'll get a feeling for what it takes to put a video game together. But to sit here and pretend that madden hasn't made any advancements and that 2k5 is the ultimate football game is ludicrous. What exactly is your definition of a better simulation? You mention that madden just added the 0.5 sack. How does that make it a "better simulation?" Stat wise the game is more realistic, but does a 0.5 sack really affect the actual gameplay? As for lead blocker, that's not a gimmick. It allows you to run the ball more effectively by sealing blocks. That's fairly realistic game play if you ask me. I'll gladly discuss the good and bad of the recent madden iterations. But to sit there and say that 2k5 is still better than current madden ruins credibility.

Will the next CBA make or break the Bills?

It costs a little bit more to fill out a 53 man roster than it does to fill out a 12, 22, or 25 man roster. The guys at the top will get huge bucks and a lot of guys in the middle will lose out without a salary floor. -

From what i've been told, the evil "rich" people making $250k or more spend their days in luxurious overindulgence, spas, vacations, private jets, etc, burning their wads of $100's for heat, keeping the little guy down. -

Duh. Because of Obama. If you can't simply look and see that we are on the verge of a world full of lollipops and rainbows and unicorns, where everyone lives happy and perfect (while making $249,999 per year because anymore and you turn into an evil "rich" person) then i feel sorry for you. -

I've liked Stevie since last season, and will be surprised if he isn't starting opposite Evans in 2010.

Salaries will NOT go up across the board. With the cap gone, you'll most likely see the top few percent of players getting crazy contracts, while the rest of the players will be getting a lot less. With no minimum cap, theres nothing to prevent a team like cincy from fielding a florida-marlins like team with 50 million in payroll for 53 players. Think about it. If Danny Snyder decides to spend an extra 100 million in payroll, is he going to give huge contracts to mediocre guys? No. He'll give astronomical deals to the top FAs. Meanwhile, the remainder of the FAs will get much less. Chances are he'll spend that 100 mil by giving 4 guys 25 million more, not by giving 25 guys 4 million more. -
Madden stretched out player ratings this season, to make it so every player isn't rated form 80-99. A lot of players league wide are going to be rated "less" that they have in previous years simply because of the stretching out. This season, i believe the average rating is a 70, instead of an 81 or 82 in previous iterations. So a player in the 70s is an "Average" starter, 80s are above average, and 90s are reserved for superstars. Your criticisms of madden make you sound like a 2k fanboy. No, madden is not perfect and still has issues to work out, but come up with reasonable suggestions as opposed to just "make blocking better."

Byrd is the same size as some of the top safeties in the game. Why does Byrd's "lack of size" play an impact in his game but does not impact Reed Sanders, or Polamalu? Or are you one of the "only big guys are good" dumbasses? Its obvious you didn't spend any of your 3 year hiatus working on your critical analysis and thinking skills.
-
No. when the pats lets star players walk, they are absolutely genius. when the Bills do it, they are idiots. So goes the mantra of Billsvet.
-
So Byrd's 40 time makes him the "shortest safety in the NFL?" I had no idea that 40 time determined height.
-
5'10" Troy Polamalu, 5'11" Ed Reed, and 5'8" Bob Sanders say hi. Or are you going to continue to be a knee jerk douche and tell us how Byrd, at 5'10" and 207lbs is so much shorter/smaller than those guys?

Trent Edwards always gets hurt. This includes in season, as well as out of season. When players are hurt, and have procedures done, they are often prescribed painkillers. I think its safe to conclude that Trent Edwards has an addiction to painkillers and needs some help. Do you think this sounds idiotic? If so, you know how the rest of us feel about the above post. -
Brandon Marshall won't be suspended again

Hardy had an incident with his girlfriend, and his infant was in the room. How exactly does that translate to "he beat up his infant child?" It doesn't, and when you deliberately make things up, you lose any and all credibility. (not that a patsy* troll like yourself has much to begin with) Hyperbole is extremely dangerous when you're dealing with someone's guilt/innocence. (like the band of idiots that claim marshawn "left the girl for dead") So if someone robs a bank, can you charge them with robbing every bank on that block? If someone gets into a bar fight, do they get charged with assault on every single patron in the bar? -

The biggest problem is that the patsy* troll mr weo is holding lynch's police report as gospel and ignoring what he was charged with/plead to while dismissing marshall's police report and basing everything on what marshall was charged with/plead to. The overriding problem with goodell is his inconsistency in handing down punishments, especially when its plainly obvious that "good" players from "good" teams are getting more benefit of the doubt than lesser players or lesser teams. The predictor of punishment should be the offense, NOT the team/skill of the player. -
I guess it depends on if you're into S&M.

Even ones that like to move it, move it?

Probably because its personal. Why do the Bills need to give us every detail about every player? Since its personal, perhaps Nelson didn't want everyone knowing.

so much for your asinine "natural law" theory, huh dipshit?
