  1. If they went to 18 games, what would you rather see schedule wise? 1. 2 additional non-conference games from a different division, where the Bills play the NFC East and then 2 teams from the NFC West. or 2. 2 additional conference games, similar to the 2 non-common opponents, so each team now has 4 non-commons. the Bills play the AFC West, and then play both the 3rd and 4th place teams from the other 2 divisions. or 3. off the wall idea - 2 non conference home-and-home "rivalry games," such as Jets-Giants, Steelers-Eagles, Ravens-Redskins?
  2. Take a look at florida law. The victim was technically in the wrong as well, making it very difficult to really nail stallworth. They would have had a hellacious time proving it was stallworth's drunkenness that caused the accident. Then stallworth behaved appropriately, staying there, calling the cops to let them know what happened, and complied with all of their requests. Its a very sad and unfortunate situation. But that doesn't diminish the fact that the prosecution would have had a very hard time convicting stallworth guilty in a criminal court.
  3. Actually, interconference games make a huge difference in tie-breakers.
  4. So, according to you, 86.0 QB rating = great awesome QB, while an 84.9 rating = crappy QB who had a bad year. More gems of "wisdom" from our resident new england* troll.
  5. Its because they are special and unique, just like everyone else.
  6. Take a little jaunt down here, on days like yesterday, or today, or tomorrow, where the temp is in the triple digits and it's 98% humidity.
  7. I've seen many more college profs with power trip issues than HS teachers. HS teachers are held to some accountability. College profs aren't. Lots of profs i ran into were the "i got my ass kicked daily as a kid" types.
  8. you're going to upset our little patsy* troll friend, mr weo.
  9. Amazing how many mental midgets on here do not understand the difference between a criminal trial (where the prosecution must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt) and a civil lawsuit where the family wants reparations.
  10. The settlement had everything to with a future lawsuit. The CRIMINAL punishment was based on whether or not the prosecutor could get a conviction, NOT on the amount of money paid.
  11. From what i have read, you have the option to take current teams or host a fantasy draft. The fantasy draft can last as long or as short as you like. Guys can log in and make their picks whenever, or you can get everyone on at the same time. For the season, the commish has control as to when to advance to the next week. Most set a deadline to play your game for that week. So if everyone plays week 1 on a monday, you can start week 2 on tuesday. Here's a Q and A about online franchise. While not perfect, its looks like a good start. http://insideblog.easports.com/archive/200...10-q-amp-a.aspx
  12. I'm not excusing his piss poor play in '07 and '08 bill. I'm talking about 2006, when he did play well. With Losman, being put in a position to succeed and the ability to succeed aren't mutually exclusive. He can both suck and not have been developed properly. I'm not saying that if he was put in a position to succeed that he necessarily would have.
  13. You've got 3 basic choices: 1. Go to any store, NFL retailer, team wesbite, etc. You're going to pay $75 for a current jersey, maybe with the occasional sale knocking the price down to $65 or $70. 2. Ebay from an american buyer for a legit NFL jersey. You'll pay less, and probably get it new, but the selection isn't always the greatest, and you always have to keep a cautious eye out. 3. The fake knock-offs from asia. These are hit or miss, but you can get good jerseys. The discerning eye can pick out the minor details that are different. My buddy in our bills backers club has a fake Lynch jersey, and you have to really look to tell the difference. Chances are most people wont recognize that it is an asian fake.
  14. Congrats!
  15. Losman had a good second half of 2006. A bad game here and there doesn't spoil the overall production from him. He did not finish bad. He won 2 of the final 4 games, and played good in both of those games. My point was that just like the wins aren't all because of him, neither are the losses (as you are making it out to be). Going into 2007, lots thought the light had started to go on for Losman, due to his much improved performance in the second half of 2006. The Bills did not play to Losman's strengths in 2007. That was a factor in his failures (not the only one). The pats* cheated, and no, other teams do not cheat like the pats* have for 7-8 years. If they had they'd have been punished. Filming a super bowl walkthrough also qualifies as cheating, no matter how much the commish tries to sweep everything under the rug. tom brady likes to sleep with men. Sure i may be a 5 year old for saying it, but the only people who get defensive about it are pats* fans. i dont care when your first game was. you've been on the board for only a few months and have shown an extreme propensity to defend everything patriots* related. That sends up red flags in anyone's book. You've also shown a propensity to twist and distort facts (lynch). there should no longer be a question of why you have no credibility.
  16. Jim's right, says so here in this link. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4262751 Stallworth's settlement with the family was TO AVOID A LAWSUIT. The settlement had no bearing on the criminal charges against him.
  17. Blew out his knee. Lots of people thought it was a career ender. I'm rooting for the guy because he's a fellow nole. Solid WR, good size and showed some flashes of potential while he was here.
  18. If you cannot prove that he hit his kid, you cannot go around making statements that he did and treat them as fact. Burden of proof is on the accuser. Perhaps us here can make up all sorts of vile statements about you and tout them as true.
  19. Social services isn't going to simply walk away if hardy actually hit his infant son (which he didn't). He did smack his girlfriend around, but just because his son was in the room, doesn't mean that he hit his son. You're simply making things up at this point.
  20. Well see come this season. But dick's already on record stating that maybin is a DE, and dick isn't the type to "think outside the box" to maximize the potential of a player. He's going to play it conservative to a fault, even if it means neutering a potentially effective weapon.
  21. While i like the potential of moving Maybin around and putting him in position to succeed (gasp! what a concept!), whether they follow through (or dickie lets them follow through) is another story entirely. We used the "creep" defense against seattle last year with some success, and i don't really remember us using it much after that.
  22. Good Christ your little new england*-loving skull is awfully dense. 1. Since when does throwing few passing attempts equate to the coaching staff asking him to as little as possible? The Bills had big leads in both those games, so therefore had no need to pass the ball. And if the running game is working, which it was in both of those games, why continue passing? I dont give a crap who your QB is, if you have 3 score lead in the second half, you run the ball. Only your patriots* continually pass when they have a big lead. 2. Lets assume for a second that your asinine theory holds water (which in reality it doesn't). How is 200 yards and 3 TDs asking the QB to do as little as possible? 3. This discussion is about JP Losman in 2006, and has nothing to do with Trent Edwards. Edwards was still in college. 4. The fact remains that JP played well in the second half of 2006 (as evidenced by him being the NFLs 11th or 12th rated passer that season). He didn't follow up in 2007 or 2008 and looked very bad. But that does not take away that after 2006, there was a belief by a sizeable number of people, including many around the NFL, that JP had turned the corner and the light had turned on for him. 5. You simply repeating that JP had a bad 2006 doesn't magically make it true. The numbers don't lie. Those who watched the games don't lie either. But keep on thinking that "he finished bad" and that the team surrounding him played no role in going 2-3 over the last 5. (its actually 2-2, because the week 17 finale was a joke of a game after we'd been eliminated) And keep on ignoring that the Bills had gone 5-2 in the 7 games prior to the 2 game skid and pretending that had nothing to do with Losman's improved play (a direct result of the OL reshuffling). 6. You have shown an extreme propensity to defend anything and everything pats* related, including tom brady*, rodney harrison*, vince wilfork*, and bill belicheat*. That is what makes you a pats* fan.
  23. man you've got me in tears!
  24. The real question is will dickie actually let Stevie and Corner on the field if they make an impression? We've seen in the past (greer, jackson), his utter refusal to give young players playing time despite their progress and promise, and instead playing overrated vets. (webster, a-train)
  25. Now, Marshall is an absolute scumbag, but i think he has a point in his negotiating stance. He's entering what should be the final year of his contract with denver. So normally, he'd be making big bucks in 2010 regardless either as a top paid WR on the market, or 8-9 million on the franchise tag. But he's claiming Denver won't negotiate because of the upcoming labor strife. If 2010 goes uncapped, Marshall is one of the players that would lose UFA status and he'd only be an RFA. So he's not too keen on the broncos being able to control him for only 2 million or so in 2010. I can understand why Devner is reluctant to pay him. He's got the history of beating women frequently and he's basically a slip up away from an 8 or 16 game suspension. (if Goodell follows protocol, which is no guarantee) But they are also sticking it to him by not negotiating. The guy has averaged 103 catches, 1300 yards, and 6.5 TDs over the past 2 years, and Devner only wants to pay him what, 2.5-3 mil total over the next 2 seasons?
