now that dick and the glove wearing mary are out

Preferably chris kelsay and his bloated salary are next out the door. Let Ellis and Maybin get their time in. Whats the worst that happens? we keep losing? -
You can be successful with a coach and GM who work in sync. If we were to bring in someone like shanahan, he could possibly bring in or suggest his own "football guy" to help him out. Not unlike the Belicheat* - Pioli situation in newengland* up until this year.

Posts like this from a noob should be cause for immediate banning. Nothing more than trolling.

Anybody hear from C.Biscuit? Probably should put the kid on suicide watch. He's most likely in some corner weeping, "but...but...but...jauron has the same record as belichick/fisher/(whatever other coach he pulls from his ass)."
-
Trent threw the pick 6 because he stared at Josh Reed the entire time.

I can deal with the overly optimistic outlook. But i dont know how anyone can watch jauron week in and out and still determine that the guy is a good coach. Its like watching your gf get plowed by some dude and then turning around and saying that her cheating days are over.

Decline the holding penalty late in the game?
Ramius replied to Talley56's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem is the mentality behind Jauron's decision. Its his whole "lets play a gutless dickless brand of football" attitude. Instead of pushing them back out of FG range and telling his deense to make the stop, he sits on the sidelines and hopes that the other team screws up. -
Reason #55 why big-time college football is a joke

Sorry about the wording, its been changed. The student-athlete argument is laughably pathetic, not you guys personally. I actually agree with you on the issue that the NCAA needs a complete overhaul of their academic system and standards. But, my point is that it is ridiculous for FBS football football to hide behind the "academic" argument when the NCAA doesn't give 2 craps about student academics in every other Div I sport. Obviously we met since you remember my work , but it wasnt the pittsburgh game. I was at that one at the Ralph. -

Your 2 arguments are laughably pathetic. Like the NCAA and institutions care about the "student" athletes. And, for what its worth, finals usually occupy a grand total of 1 week in december. Don't give me any crap about these guys needing to study. If the NCAA cares so much about the "student" athletes, please explain why Div I baseball had its season shortened time wise (same # of games over a shorter time frame) so most ball teams play 5 games in a week. Also please explain why no one complains about the "student" athletes in NCAA basketball who may be out of class from wednesday to sunday for 4 consecutive weeks for the conference tournaments and the NCAA tourney. There are some arguments for not having a playoff, but the "student" athlete argument is one of the shallowest and most laughable out there. If the NCAA actually cared, they'd make these guys go to class and they'd attempt to do something concerning the fact that the majority of major programs graduate less than 40% of their "student" athletes. -
Why would we get young players on the field? Dick Jauron is smart, smarter than all of us, so thats why he keeps young players glued to the bench.
-
Agreed. Flutie was the starter all season, so he deserved to start the playoff game. The time to change QBs was a month earlier, not prior to your first playoff game.
-
While Flutie should have started the game, don't try and fool anyone by saying that the dwarf "took" us to a 10-5 record. The defense carried us in 1999 and the dwarf rode their coattails to a 10-5 record.

Anyone who thinks that only the "superstars" or best players can be leaders or speak out has obviously never played organized sports.

Christmas gifts. Read the original post. A christmas card with a url on it just isn't the same as the real thing. Which gives me a good idea. Porn website subscriptions sold as gift cards. I can buy a gift card that lets me go to outback, carrabbas, bonefish grill, or olive garden, so why not a gift card with a dollar value, login and password to be redeemed at a variety of adult entertainment websites?

Do you work for Amazon, beerball? Got an email today from them apologizing for the delay with the new pornography arrival date bumped from dec 7-14 up to the week of thanksgiving.

I'm glad that we need to keep Todd Johnson on the roster instead of a 3rd RB.
-
I'd say we are "Don't break the ice." The object of the team is to see how many pieces they can knock out and still keep the guy in the middle (ralph) sitting pretty.
-
Nah, i get that stuff from Adam and Eve.

I decided to get a bit of an early start to some christmas shopping, so i made a couple of orders from amazon the other day. Just basic simple stuff like books and DVDs that were all in stock. As i always do when using amazon, i use the free super saver shipping, which states it ships in 5-9 days. In all my years of using amazon, if something was in stock, it would usually have an estimated ship date of a few days out, and then take a week or so to get to my house. Well this time i was a bit shocked when i was told that the estimated ship date wasn't until Nov 30 to Dec 7. Is amazon intentionally not processing orders if you use the free shipping? The same group of books/movies would process and ship immediately if i paid for 1/2 day shipping or if i used the regular shipping. So why the 3-4 week delay just because i wanted free shipping? Has anyone else encountered an issue like this? Or is amazon trying to make a cheap money grab by almost "forcing" people to pay for shipping?

Reason #55 why big-time college football is a joke

The fact that the current season was almost "predestined" to be Texas/OU vs Fla/Ala in the national championship is what makes college football an even bigger joke. It encouraged UF to schedule a bunch of patty-cakes this season to ensure they only needed to focus on LSU and the SEC title game. If these teams are really that good, why are they all so afraid of proving it on the field? -

Agreed. Minimize the padding. No more robotech armor. Indirectly, padding makes people care less about their bodies. -

The current system is a joke. You're looking at the distinct possibility of multiple unbeaten teams being having no shot at the title, including a BCS team in Cincy. I'd prefer a 16 team playoff with 11 conference champs and 5 at large wildcards. But you want the simplest playoff? 8 teams. The 6 BCS conference champs and 2 at-large spots. Sure, there may be some whining by the #9 team and what not, but in my system, you hold your fate in your own hands. Win your conference and you get a playoff spot. Plus, you have a lot less to whine about when you are a 2 loss team as opposed to an unbeaten or a 1-loss team playing the best football in the country and being left out. This also eliminates a lot of the bias in college football, such as the asinine notion that the SEC should automatically get a national championship bid, because they are the "toughest" () conference in football.
