  1. I'd take that stat line, but not from Kyle Orton. Orton is never going to win any games from under center. The best he's going to do is not lose games. Cutler was very good in Denver, and if denver had any semblance of a defense, they would have won 12 games last season. Good QBs win championships a hell of a lot more often than mediocre QBs with great supporting casts.
  2. Good call. Look at all the "winning" kyle orton did in denver. the broncos were a fluke tip vs cincy in wek 1 away from winning the same # of games as chicago, except denver's QB sucks. Cutler was in his first year with sub par WRs and a running game that disappeared. I'll take a franchise QB that can win games all by himself even if it means a few more INTs than usual, as opposed to some candy-ass "game manager."
  3. John Harbaugh was never a coordinator before becoming an HC. Neiher was Tony Sparano. Not being a coordinator doesn't mean you can't be a good coach. It means you have a slightly different skill set. Grimm could easily hire some good coordinators and have no worries.
  4. Good idea in theory, but will never work out in practice. So maybe the commish makes the Colts play their starters. What happens then yesterday when after 2 drives, Peyton goes to the sideline with a "shoulder injury" and is "out" for the rest of the game?
  5. Hey mcdaniels, you arrogant prick, how's Kyle orton doing? Thought you'd have no problems with him under center?
  6. Word also was that he didn't go through the appropriate channels with TTU admin regarding "interest" in the other jobs. He kinda did things on his own and didn't involve the school as much as they'd have liked.
  7. Completion % != accuracy.
  8. This entire situation is a mess. Craig James is an asshat for airing his complaints in the media through his own employer. The fact that ESPN let him do this shows just how far they've fallen as a network. Their main goal is entertainment and running a TMZ-like operation over any actual sports reporting. There's a little thing called "conflict of interest." When all this broke, they should have pulled james to the side and not let him anywhere near a camera or website. As for Leach, he and the university have been at odds for a while. The firing comes as no surprise, especially given the fact they owed him a huge bonus for coaching in the bowl game. The university has been looking for a way to get rid of him since at least last offseason, and he gave them a reason.
  9. sorry, not impressed by a guy who puts up huge numbers against the likes of SW Georgia school for the blind. Ans don't give me that "SEC is great" crap. The SEC was bad this year. UF played 1 good team this year and got their asses stomped by 'Bama.
  10. There have been between 25-30 arrests of gators since meyer took over. Including a player who stole a credit card off a dead chick. But let's be honest here. Meyer stepped down because he's afraid of Jimbo Fisher.
  11. I'd also like to improve our D. We can package Kelsay and Parrish to move up to #1 overall and take Suh.
  12. Sorry. You lost me when you have only 1 replacement in the front 7 on defense. But, i now understand why you liked dick jauron so much. You think exactly like him, because that lineup is the type of cockamamie thing he'd think up. Your lineup is great if the goal is to extend the non-playoff streak to 11 seasons next year.
  13. If I recall, he was quite lonesome.
  14. And what exactly, have mitchell done on the field to warrant his opening his friggin yap about this? His entire career has been built on a single season where he was the 7th biggest threat on the Giants starting front 7.
  15. If Jauron goes to NY, Tuck and Osi better start learning how to play pass coverage.
  16. Statements like this one completely baffle me. What exactly has McKelvin done to show that he's not a "team-oriented" guy? And if he's one of the few players on this team that others want, why should we consider trading him? With McGee, McKelvin, Florence, Corner, and Lankster, we have no need to spend anything higher than a 5th on a CB for a while.
  17. Pre-Calc student teacher. That and our 9th grade spanish teacher.
  18. Get rid of helmets. Works just fine in rugby and aussie rules football. Without helmets, players will actually try to make legit tackles, not just turn themselves into missiles.
  19. Your boys dont even deserve a shot at the title game. TCU and Cinci are both better teams. I expect nothing less than a 40-10 'bama blowout.
  20. His conclusions are pretty spot on. No one has ever argued about tebag's impact on the collegiate game. But his skill set and mechanics simply do not translate to the NFL pro-style game.
  21. Its the individuals choice. Stop being a lazy ass and go exercise, and eat decent food. Fatasses aren't suffering from addiction, they are suffering form laziness. I am all on board for airlines making a fatass requirement where they measure someones jabba the hutt frame and make you buy 2-3 seats to fly. If this embarasses said fatass, good. Maybe they'll be proactive about losing weight to prevent future embarrassment.
  22. Stop with the facts dave. We all know that since Shanny's defense was piss poor in his last season in denver, it means that his defense was always terrible.
  23. The funniest part about this is that if Freddie was the #12 pick and Lynch was a UDFA and they each kept their stats from this season, everyone would be calling for jackson to be cut yesterday and would be proclaiming Lynch's God-like status.
  24. Yup, over 70 career sacks, 3 seasons with double digit sacks is someone who "doesn't make an impact".
  25. Funny. I thought spending early picks on DBs destroyed franchises.
