Finally caught last week's ep, and Russell is the freaking man! I was on the fence about him last season, but now he's awesome. Probably one of the best players ever. Russell is on an entirely new level, and his ability to think 4 steps ahead of everyone else is amazing. Hatch wouldn't survive in the current survivor, and the only reason he won was because he was the only person playing the game in season 1. I was so glad to see Bahston rob get booted, as i couldn't stand him in all-stars. Cirie is a waste of space and shouldn't have been on the show. Anyone know why coach was a villain and not a hero?

Steve Johnson loves the new playbook
Ramius replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's shown some ability in his limited time, and has looked good in preseason. The problem is, much like other young guys, jauron stubbornly refused to put the kid on the field. I'm not saying put the kid is as the #2 WR on the offense deom day 1, but i am saying that he's shown enough in his limited time to warrant more playing time and a much deeper look. -
Bills offered McNabb an extension
Ramius replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McNabb would have played anywhere. I don't doubt him.He would have suited up for Buffalo no questions asked if they dealt him here. The problem is, he wouldn't sign an extension in Buffalo or Oakland, making himself essentially a 1-year rental player. And a high second isn't worth it for a 1-year player. -
Steve Johnson loves the new playbook
Ramius replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, do you guys really think a UDFA DB in Jabari Greer and some ex-arena league back in Freddy Jackson are ever going to amount to anything? If Dick Jauron isn't putting them on the field, they aren't good enough. (John Adams, circa 2007) -
While Nix & Co. enjoy Easter weekend, Skins steal McNabb
Ramius replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Aside from the obvious mentioned, the brilliant minds in this post screaming for us to get McNabb have failed to consider that the 'skins have a higher pick than us. If you're the Eagles, do you take pick #41 or pick #37? -
What Doug Whaley brings to the table
Ramius replied to billsevans's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Look on the bright side. If Whaley does a good job and gets promoted to GM in 3-4 years, you get to B word all over again about how the Bills "only looked in house." -
Brandon has zero influence in draft
Ramius replied to In-A-Gadda-Levitre's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. From everything i have seen and read, Brandon knows his abilities and limits. He's probably best suited for his current post, where he can oversee the entire operation without having to micromanage each individual department. He'll put the people in place below him and let them do their jobs. Of course, theres going to be a lot of unhappy posters with this comment by Tim Graham, because its taking away one of their favorite things to B word and whine about. -
Apparently i have forgotten all the numerous posts this year where i suggest that the Bills take a WR in round 1. I suppose i should strive to be more like you and spent every last post bitching about the Bills and how Ralph sucks, Buddy sucks, Chan sucks, etc. I do find it particularly interesting, however, that you ran and hid under whatever rock you came from when the Bills signed Edwards and Davis. It must have taken you 2-3 weeks to come up with new material when you could no longer whine about the Bills not signing free agents.

Perhaps you should consider buying the product in my avatar. It would probably help your disposition.

We're unlucky because of the TBD draft paradox. No matter what year, no matter how good the class, no matter what teams have what needs before us, its always the same according to TBD: When the Bills pick at position N, there will always be (N-1) sure fire, can't miss prospects.

[Sabres] Got goosebumps hearing this call the other day
Ramius replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in Off the Wall Archives
That was our year. We were supposed to win the cup that season. That's how it was supposed to end. -
Best. Alarm clock. Ever. http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/41/dharma-a....shtml?cpg=128H

Jensen's recaps have been largely sub par this season. He goes off on way too many tangents that have little to do with the show and are extreme reaches. Most of his writings this season have been along the lines of... "...and did anyone catch that sawyer had a knife in his pocket during the episode? This is crazy because i used a knife to butter my toast this morning. And if you look it up, you'll realize that philosopher X said that people are like butter that melt in the face of anything hot, and by hot i mean adversity. And there was adversity on dancing with the stars last night, when Kate almost got voted off, which we can draw a parallel to Claire wanting to "vote" Kate Austen off the island by killing her. And there was a killing in the Bible in chapter Y, verse Z, which brings me to the crazy conclusion about the show! Sawyer is the devil!"

Agreed. 12pm FSU home games in september are absolutely horrific. I refuse to go.

UPDATED: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos
Ramius replied to Kingfish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One(or both) of 2 reasons: 1. Jacksonville came to the realization that selecting a 5th round QB talent in round 1 is exceedingly stupid. 2. The average Jags/gators fan just spent a lot of money updating their wardrobe with the new Dale Earnhardt Jr gear, and probably doesn't have the cash for a new jersey lying around. -
So did i miss the part of the memo where Chan said that Chad Jackson was going to be our #1 WR on opening day? No? Then why the whining about him? If he doesnt work out, we cut him, no harm done. Last i checked, signing Chad Jackson wasn't preventing us from signing or drafting anyone else at the WR spot.

It would seem to me that Flocke wants (and probably needs) Jacob and all of the candidates dead before he can leave the island. Or at the very least, "crossed off the list". I don't think he can leave until they are all out of the picture. He still needs Kate to lure Jack in.

My Dad had the C64 (he was an airline mechanic, not a computer geek) . I remember playing it as a kid, so i must have been 6-7 years old when i really got into it. (born in '81) The first game i remember playing and loving was Donald Ducks, where you had to "work" sorting baggage, or sorting fruits, or stocking toys to earn cash to build the playground. I think the most kick ass game we had was Raid over Moscow. My dad had 100s of games on the 64. 3 full racks of the 5.25 floppies. That system held me over until the mid-90s when i finally saved up enough allowance to buy a sega genesis.

Not sure what clip you're watching, but the ball is snapped at 0:15 of the video, and the defenders dont get to him until 0:18-0:19. He's easily got 3.5 seconds to throw, but he simply does nothing. Trent sucks, turtles at any sign of pressure, and refuses to throw the ball unless a WR is wide open. There's no reason to believe he'll ever get any better. And there's no arguing about the video clip. He's got at least 3.5 seconds to get rid of the ball. Its called counting.

Bills offseason conditioning program starts tomorrow
Ramius replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But what about the TBD doctors who deemed that Wood would never walk again, let alone play in 2010? -

Ramius replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, tweeting takes up so much time. Should maybin also stop checking email and taking personal calls on his cell phone as well? They are occupying his time as well, when he should obviously be getting ready for next season? -
I think i broke 2 or 3 commodore 64 joysticks playing summer games and wiggling the damn thing back and forth to get your guy to run. Bruce Lee was a fantastic game as well as Lode Runner.

Lets simply draft every Boise St player then. They "just win". -
Jimmy Clausen PFW scouting report
Ramius replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup. Clausen at #9 would probably end up with a contract of 6 years, 40-45 million, something like 55-60 max value with performance bonuses and escalators, but more importantly, something like $18 million guaranteed. Clausen at #2 would be something in the ballpark of 6 years, 75 million, with 35 million guaranteed. -

All your little article/blog did was post some numbers about tebow's college career. And we all know that numbers are directly indicative of pro success. I read the article, and there wasn't squat about tebow's poor mechanics and his never taking a snap from center, and his inability to go through progressions, except for the blogger summarily dismissing those claims without backing anything up. While comments about mechanics and his inability to read a may be opinions, they are opinions shared by nearly every NFL scout/executive and football journalist. I do find it amusing that you debunk my argument as nothing more than an "opinion" and then you go trot out the most asinine argument of them all, the "he just wins" line.
