  1. Wow...Shelly is a major Dbag, but that's totally uncalled for...people really do need to get a life..fux sake
  2. Wow, I'm psyched to go back and watch the orignal now. It's on a "very long wait" on Netflix, but I can see it in HD on my VUDU account (VUDU is my new favorite streaming service) for three bucks, so I'm going to do that. I also saw that Amazon has a bluray box set with all five of the original films for $40...that seems tempting, too.
  3. We'll definitely get a feel for whether our Oline is ready for prime time against that Lions Dline lol This is exactly why I am a firm believer in building a dominant defense...look how many people on this board and in the media are talking about how scary the Lions are all of a sudden...it's not cause Stafford is healthy, it's cause they have four scary mofos lined up along their Dline! I love that we focused on that side of the ball in the draft, and this time next year our D will be a top ten unit in the NFL, IMO.
  4. Heck yeah, I think given all that Lee had to go through while he was here (multiple QBs, new OCs, HCs, etc) he was a model citizen. Even if he requested the trade, I have no hard feelings toward the guy at all. I'm really glad he went to a team I enjoy watching, cause I just can't continue to root for former Bills when they head to South Beach or Beantown lol. Now that Willis has moved on, I like the Ravens even more...I think Lee is a great fit for them and the fans will love the guy just as we did. In the meantime, we have some young guys to be excited about...after seeing Easley bust out tonight, I am excited to finally see what he can do for us. I like bigger receivers and we're in good shape with guys like Easley, Donald Jones, and Kamar Aiken...hopefully at least two of the three turn into legit player for us. But I'll also be watching Lee haul in long bombs from Flacco while he's wearing the purple and black.
  5. "I have been covering the Bills in one form or another since they went into business 51 years ago..." That's the problem right there. Time for this guy to move on.
  6. I like Huggins better too...I don't know what it is about the guy, I just have a feeling he'll produce if they give him a bit more of a role. He's made some great catches in camp over the last few years, so I'd love to see him get more of a look this season.
  7. If Barnett stays healthy, we definitely got the better end of Poz leaving...that goes for our LBers as a whole, actually...if they stay healthy, I love that group and I love our front 7 in general. What a huge difference from last year!
  8. All bets are off when it's a guy that Nix didn't draft, though. I think you'll see more of an effort to resign our productive guys from the last two draft classes as they become solid players. We have a LOT of young raw talent, particularly on D. Hopefully Wannstedt can coach these kids up and we end up with some home grown talent that sticks around for a long time.
  9. For me, it's all about how they leave Blo. If they are respectful, then I wish them well. If they start bashing on the city or the team, then they can suck it. I was an RJ supporter until I heard him whining endlessly when he went to Tampa or wherever...Losman had nothing but positive things to say about Blo...he considered it his adoptive hometown. McGahee is a punk. I want to see Lee thrive in Bmore and I hope Poz does well with the Jags, especially since I think we've upgraded our interior backers after he left.
  10. The Easley TD pass was awesome....Marcus went up above the DB like he had springs in his cleats and Fitzy put it right in the perfect spot
  11. I seriously don't understand you guys who are bashing the unis...aside from when they wore the throwbacks the last few years, this is by far the best they've looked in a very long time. Just seeing them come out and line up for the kickoff in those unis today was a thing of beauty...they got the unis right on, IMO.
  12. I just finished watching the first half, and it's been a great relief to see some of our boys get their asses in gear. Was awesome seeing Easley make some catches...he had the early drop, but came back and redeemed himself with a solid showing. Stevie is fluid...he's a star in the making. I'm starting to get on the Chandler bandwagon. This guy seemed to move really well in the Chicago game, and tonight he looked very solid as well. His catching mechanics are very solid. He has good hands, pulls the ball into his body, turns and runs. For a big boy, he's got game. Loved seeing Freddy beat Poz on that deep sideline route...and Fitzy was on his game tonight. Seems to have more of a windup on some of his passes than I noticed last year...he better be careful with that when the weather gets a bit more inclement. I also caught the very end of the game, and I was really impressed with that Elzy guy (or whatever his name is)...this guy was laying blocks right and left to give Levi more time in the pocket. I also saw some nice burst from him when he hit the hole...guy might push Johnny White for playing time. Can't wait to watch the 2nd half tomorrow and see how our scrubs are progressing.
  13. I've been interested in hearing from some of the die hard planet of the apes fans...I saw the originals as a kid, but don't remember anything about it. Have never seen the burton version, but am very interested in seeing this one. Glad to know it held up well to your scrutiny as a fan of the franchise! And yep, there are times when seeing a movie alone is the best way. If it's at night, I always go with someone else or a group of friends, but like you, there have been times when I took in an afternoon showing and it was great. It's also kind of funny, cause when it's a film where there is a really rabid group of fans, you're typically going to find the uber-nerds there in the afternoon. When I went to see SW Ep.III in 2005 the first afternoon it was out, I was surrounded by a bunch of really interesting folks lol. It was fun, though...not only was it the redeeming film for the prequels, IMO, it was sort of cool to share the moment with others who I know were passionate about the story. Did you see Apes in 3D?
  14. I laughed when I heard about that new twist...I figured the producers would find some way to give them another shot at staying, cause they manipulate things every year They will make it some "pandora's box" thing where it looks like it's actually the player who is screwing themselves, when it's nothing more but a way to stack the deck or give someone else another lifeline. It really started getting bad a few seasons ago, but this was one of the most obvious and blatant "twists" they've orchestrated.
  15. It seems like this forum has totally died....we're only a little more than a month away from the MLB playoffs...is anyone even watching baseball anymore? lol My boy Huddy got smoked by the Mets tonight, but overall my Braves are playing well...we'll be the wild card team in the NL for sure. We've played the Phillies tight this year, so I think we may have a shot at going to the series. What about all you Yankees fans? They hit like four grand slams in one game recently....nobody talking about them?
  16. I thought about this today, and I just have a hard time seeing her as being a strong player. It's one thing if your moves are premeditated, and then you carry out your plan. That, to me, is what makes a player great. I don't see that Shelly is doing anything but staying on good terms with both sides, sticking her finger up in the air and figuring out which way the wind is blowing. I blame Dani for screwing this entire season up...when they interviewed her Dad a few weeks ago, what he said was exactly correct. Dani made the move to break away from the vets alliance WAYYYY too early. As a result the floaters weren't really much of a target at all, and the vets were at each other almost from the start. What she should have done was learn from her dad. Evel Dick orchestrated an alliance between he and Dani and the other "couple" in the house at the time, Eric and that cheerleader girl. Dick's plan was to screw over the other couple in their alliance one week before the other couple tried to screw them. He caught them off guard and got Eric evicted, thus paving the way for he and Danielle to make it to the finals. I just don't see any strategy in Shelly at all...in fact, her whole approach this week was stupid. Think about it...she kept saying that what bothered her was knowing that Jeff and Jordan would take each other and she'd be left with nothing. What she failed to realize was that Dani was a FAR stronger competitor than either Jeff or Jordan...the last time she was on she won like five veto comps in a row! On the other hand, Jordo can't win a damn thing...why in the world would you rather compete against Dani when Jordo is there for the picking? All she had to was ride her alliance to the final three, and then she'd get a fair shot to compete against them to decide who she would take to the final two. It was a poor decision, IMO, and now she'll have the veteran mbrs of the jury pissed at her when vote time comes around.
  17. I was really fired up when I first saw Adam's promos...I thought this guy would really be a force, or at the very least make the show more interesting and maybe go out in a blaze of glory. But the guy is a MAJOR turd. He doesn't win anything, he doesn't have any loyalty, he doesn't seem to really have any passion...he just eats a lot of bacon. This is just remindign me of a few years ago when there were like three or four REALLY boring women left in the game...it was like watching paint dry. I wish Evel Dick could just come back in the house as an America's Choice vote or something...just ANYTHING to stir it up now that some of the more active players are gone. I bet the producers are not happy losing both Jeff and Dani yesterday...
  18. That was pretty lame, I have to agree. Now that Jeff and Dani are gone, this show is going to be boring as hell. I just hope Rachel can win some comps and stick around a while, as annoying as she is...otherwise this will be a snooze fest. The floaters are the ones in power now...exactly what people like Brendon, Rach, Dani, etc said they feared would happen...
  19. I don't know which decisions Ralph is and isn't involved in making, but one thing I will never understand is the idea of a 90 year old man being frugal and/or cheap. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever if you think about it. I'm not going to say anything bad about Mr. Wilson, but I do look forward to getting the team into the hands of another owner (or ownership group) so that we can have some stability moving forward.
  20. "The bus did not know it lost its load..."
  21. I, for one, am glad to hear this. They should not be investing any more money into these second rate characters until they finally come to their senses and remake one of the most underappreciated films of all time!!!
  22. LOL...is that the guy who drinks beer? Cowherd was going on about the guy who drinks all the Schlitz lol
  23. Okay, then this sounds like the coolest frickin show ever lol. I have always been a fan of vigilante justice in the movies, so to see it play out in real life sounds even more interesting. And that's not to say I think it's good or bad, just interesting to observe. I can't wait to see this lol
