He goes down as a major first-round bust.
-
He did very well on the short routes which is Tua’s bread and butter. No doubt. But he’s going to get targeted when they play against downfield passing teams like Cinci and KC.
-
Nice to have his energy back there but he got absolutely smoked multiple times and the ‘Phins couldn’t capitalize. He’s nowhere near peak form.

Devin Singletary not scoring a TD with 34 seconds left

Sort of where I’m at with it. I understand the decision (13 seconds/Hill effect on McD) and it’s rational to decide it’s better to kick a chip shot field goal then give the other team any time to try for a miracle. But mostly I’m just glad they’re practicing and coaching situational football - I’ve had my doubts about that all season (including during last night’s game). -

Also Hines. Not only his TD - but that fair catch off of his face in a blizzard was low-key one of the top plays of the entire season for this team. -

Have been out-coached and out-executed in all three phases. Also the “we need a dome” crowd might reconsider after tonight. -

I thought the Vikings game was McDermott’s low point but this game is shaping up to replace it. -

Frazier WILL NOT force his dbs to press. Just won’t do it. That’s how the Chargers won last week - but here’s Leslie giving up free releases. -

Nothing in the world more boring than weather talk. -
Incredibly uninspired performance by the Seahawks. Carroll has totally lost his fastball. It’s over.
-
The Hawks are no longer a well-coached team. They are super unprepared so far tonight and it’s a bad look for Carroll.

Jerry Sullivan crosses the line. Comments against women.

Unfortunately I have seen a lot of this stuff (fortunately I’ve never been the subject of it). Where someone gets “cancelled” it is almost always a situation where everyone already had their knives out for the person and the transgression, however minor, was used as an opportunity to kill them off. Maybe unfair punishment for the particular event but usually a fair outcome for the individual. This strikes me as being in that category. The good guys get second chances (usually, not always). -

Beas may or may not be "washed" - we'll find out soon. His body has had plenty of time to heal and rest up. Last season he was avoiding contact in the middle of the field, which is where slot receivers make their money. It's possible he just needed to step away from the game to get his body right. I wasn't a fan of his Twitter antics but he never did anything on social media like what McKenzie did this week - that Tweet reflected such a staggering lack of accountability it would not surprise me if he was cut this week. McKenzie is an unaccountable CLOWN who can't catch a football and doesn't show up for his teammates. He should be off the roster pronto. Beas is a weird dude but for the most part he was a great teammate when he wasn't drawing lines in the sand. But let's be honest, signing Brown and Beas in December is basically like buying scratch-off tickets with your final paycheck, with the rent about to be due. It's desperation time after a terrible offseason of underinvestment in the offense. It's an admission of defeat by Brandon Beane. Would not shock me if they've reached out to Darryl Williams as well. Remember - this is a much-hyped pro personnel department; they are much better at media placements than actually finding value in the FA market. It should NOT be this hard to find complementary skill assets like a slot receiver, backup tight ends, a running back who can catch the ball out of the backfield, a league-average guard - the FA market is littered with these guys but Beane and his crew continue to strike out and have resorted to bringing back the corpses of John Brown and Cole Beasley (after trotting out Emmanuel Sanders' corpse last season). This is a BAD LOOK for the front office that they had to build a bridge to a retired Cole Beasley in mid-December as a "solution" to their problems on offense. Unacceptable. But if Beas can squeeze six weeks of juice out of that old lemon, sign me up. -
Orlovsky: Bills aren't as talented offensively as we thought
Coach Tuesday replied to Billz4ever's topic in The Stadium Wall
As I said in one of the other threads on this - the execution issues seem to be a symptom of practice habits not being where they need to be. The routes, timing, blocking - it's all off. That tells me they're not practicing right (and McD basically agreed during his sideline remarks in-game).
