I was going to start the same thread this morning @HappyDays Yes. He has clearly hit the wall hard and pretty much once per drive at least he’s getting blown up bad. I would put Bates in against the Steelers or at least alternate them. Kid needs to take a breather and reset.

And Dane. Dane was HUGE.

That’s because he threw it too quickly - the receivers hadn’t even had a chance to run their routes.

Allen plays like a total meathead. Even Big Ben had better situational awareness. Just dumb crap every single week from 17.

Miami is so much calmer and crisper than Buffalo. Vibing their respective coaches.

This is 100% on Allen. All year with this crap.

Allen gets so amped up he sails his deep throws. He needs a psychologist.

But yet - if he’s truly nursing something, calling an inside running play for him in a goal-to-go situation last week was … bizarre.

Agree 100%. McDaniels needs to win this game (and make a statement doing so) to cement his reputation as the new McVay/Shanny. He needs to coach up the game of his life and I’m sure he know that. We are gonna get their A game tomorrow night and had better be ready.

Good post. Once again this season they gave themselves the tiniest margin for error on offense. Almost no playmakers and Allen has to do everything. He lateraled successfully to Shakir on Sunday in a high-risk play; he almost fumbled the game away trying to do it again later (can you imagine the narratives about Allen if the Patriots recovered and scored?). Beane is a decent GM but his mismanagement of the offense borders on a war crime.

Anyone know where I can find that hat?

Yup and it’s exactly what fits this 2023 version of the Bills: they totally deserve either the #2 seed or to miss the playoffs entirely. It’s oddly fitting.

The two INTs I happened to catch were definitely lucky, as in tipped right to him.

I know Diggs had a back issue, but the way he’s failing to cut it seems more like a groin issue to me.

I wonder if some of it is that they’re spending more of their practice time working on the running game, at the expense of reps and working on precision in the passing game.

I am also wondering whether he prepares less during the weeks leading up to a game where they expect a ton of man coverage - “I’ll just see it and throw it” - but that doesn’t work too well when the o line is getting beat and his time to see it is limited. The throws end up late and erratic.

Allen is not the MVP this season, that’s for sure.
