  1. It will take blowout losses by the class A teams (Philly, Dallas, KC) and then probably another fluke loss to the Jets or Patriots to wake Pegula from his ambivalence. But that’s how I see it playing out eventually. He will have no choice once this season ends.
  2. Agree w most of that. Certainly the blitzes last night were insanely dumb - and even when they only rushed 3 or 4, they kept rushing too far downfield and letting Wilson easily step up and reset or scramble. The gym teacher coach has lost his team.
  3. McDermott now has a track record of tightening up and then choking at the end of close games. It’s time to move on, but Terry will need more convincing. Luckily, the schedule is about to do that work for us.
  4. Nope. Those “drops” were on Josh. He has always been a “see it throw it” guy but it’s at another level this year. He is so uninterested pre-snap that he is forced to process everything on the fly. By the time he finally sees it, he often has to throw it with so much zip that it makes it nearly impossible for his receivers, crazy bounces happen, etc. Josh is a huge problem this year and it’s his lack of preparation and work before the ball is snapped. Of course, it would’ve helped to sign a savvy veteran receiver who happens to have the strongest hands in the entire NFL, but Beane didn’t want to shell out another $2m/year or whatever for DHop. I’d fire all of them.
  5. True but it also somehow felt like they went away from the run too often. Seemed like they could’ve run the ball 48 times and won easily or at least waited until it forced Denver to totally load the box. But whatever. This is a poorly-coached team in complete free fall and the only thing preventing change at this point is Pegula’s own laziness.
  6. It will likely take care of itself. They are going to get pasted by the Eagles, Cowboys, Chiefs and Dolphins in Miami, and possibly the Chargers as well. Pegula won’t want to go through another coaching and GM search but the chorus will be too loud by the end of this stretch.
  7. Running the ball was working so of course…,
  8. We’ll see if Josh decides to take life a little more seriously when he gets his buddy Dorsey fired.
  9. They are rushing upfield past Wilson and letting him scramble around.
  10. Punter has a dead leg wake the Eff up Beane.
  11. Gonna get their OC fired tonight.
  12. As opposed to….
  13. You can leed a hose to water….
  14. I expect Gabe to have a couple big games down the stretch this season as defenses key more on Kincaid, and some desperate team like Carolina will give him a Christian Kirk deal. We will happily take the comp pick. But nobody was trading for him last week - this thread is a straw man.
  15. Minshew is just a trash QB.
  16. Minshew is determined to make sure New England wins this game.
  17. Thanks for this. What’s frustrating to me about what you’re describing is that on both sides of the ball, for the most part (excepting Torrence, Kincaid, Dorian), these are players who have been playing in these schemes for quite awhile now. It seems like they are not practicing the right way. You’re describing post-snap execution errors not schematic issues. Are they simply not preparing enough?
  18. Players-only meeting = full team meeting designed by Dorsey.
  19. I will add this to the list of my world grievances.
  20. Agree with you for the most part wrt cover 2 attack but in the clips Erik showed, I was struck by the lack of man-beaters to attack the single high scenarios. Where are the crossers, etc., in those scenarios? If I’m an opposing DC I am playing man coverage against this offense.
  21. Gabe Davis-Scantling-Bey.
