I thought that was some of your BETTER content.

@teef can hold onto the one-liner belt for only as long as @Bangarang chooses to let him. Also, I nominate @Beck Water for BOTH the “Chat GPT Humorless Bot” award and the “Hmmm, That Sounds Vaguely Familiar” award (or maybe just, “Worst Disguise”).

Eh. @teef is a volume guy - some gems, but lots of duds. For my money @Jauronimo is still the GOAT.

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
Coach Tuesday replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
For better or worse, neither Kevyn Adams nor Brandon Beane operate as though they’re under intense job pressure. -
And a high percentage of those unforced errors involved the left guard or right tackle; there were a few on Allen but most of those were on plays (or a play or two after a play) where the left guard or right tackle screwed up and scrambled his internal clock and patience. Margin for error in this league is small. Those two positions had an outside impact based on my untrained eyes.

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
Coach Tuesday replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well it's that, plus their "best case" scenario is that Davis is a super late-bloomer who has a monster 2023 and potentially plays himself out of their price range - either way they need to be lining up other options. -

Feels like the appropriate place to say that I’ve never seen a single Marvel movie - not one.

Pats give DeVante Parker a Big Extension
Coach Tuesday replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s the market for guys like that in their 20s. Parker has already lost a step. No one was competing for his services and there was talk he’d get released. This is a strange signing. -
https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/devante-parker-agrees-to-three-year-deal-with-patriots “Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that he has agreed to terms on a new three-year deal with New England. Parker is set to make up to $33 million with with $14 million in guarantees and per-game roster bonuses.” uh… what?!?

McDermott & Beane Extended Through 2027
Coach Tuesday replied to BritBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane, the beneficiary of one of the extensions that ostensibly is the topic of this thread, headed into the 2022 offseason needing to shore up LG and WR2. He gambled on both positions and lost, and the consequences of that cascaded through the offense and caused Allen to take matters into his own hands by the end of the season. It’s also indirectly what led to Diggs having a meltdown. They left themselves almost no margin for error last season and the results reflected a team bursting at its seams with Allen and Diggs trying to will them into a championship. This offseason Beane at least spread out his bets at both positions. Hopefully he doesn’t crap out. -
McDermott & Beane Extended Through 2027
Coach Tuesday replied to BritBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree with that. The flip side is, with one game you’d better be ready to give it your best shot - and out-strategize the other team. My feel is that McD deferred to Leslie wrt game planning on defense and Leslie’s view was basically, “I’m not changing what got us here.” As a result they’ve been out-schemed on defense in the playoffs during McD’s entire tenure. -
McDermott & Beane Extended Through 2027
Coach Tuesday replied to BritBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
McD is a very good coach who has shown the ability to self-scout and course-correct. He deserves the job security. Beane, on the other hand? He’s one of those employees who bet on the right horses (McDermott and Allen) and has mostly survived by hitting it straight down the fairway. Frankly he’s lucky to have somehow made it past the 2022 offseason - maybe he convinced Terry not to penalize him for Von’s injury. Because the 2022 draft and free agency forays were unmitigated disasters for a team that needed a real talent infusion to get it over the top. -
Right or wrong, as this (and like 12 other, less-good) thread indicates, the stink of “13 Seconds” continues to stick to McDermott. There’s only one way to wash it off and he may be running out of time to do it. And as I’ve said elsewhere, if Beane and McD waste Allen’s good years, it’ll almost be a war crime.
