  1. Really wild. Von's video diary of going through the process of Free Agency and ultimately signing with the Bills from his YouTube page. Includes him talking to Josh Allen on the phone, his dad telling him to go to Buffalo, and him saying goodbye to Sean McVay.
  2. Since you were able to land Christian Watson and Kyler Gordon (as well as grabbing Tyquan Thornton and Matt Araiza), I'll give you a pass for going RB with our first pick. Just this once 😛
  3. Traded 25, next year's 1st, and AJ Epenesa to secure Sauce Gardner. Fanspeak and PFF seem to Draft players in our need wheelhouse too low and The Draft Network Drafts them too high.
  4. You've got OL way too high after signing Rodger Saffold, retaining Ryan Bates long term, re-signing Ike Boettger, and also signing Greg Mancz. Starting Line is set for this season and 4/5 of them are on long term contracts. Maybe a mid round pick or two for development. But none of Dawkins, Saffold, Morse, Bates, or Brown are being benched and you don't spend your first rounder on a rotational Lineman who won't see much playing time in Year 1.
  5. Garrett Wilson, Jameson Williams, Chris Olave, Christian Watson, Skyy Moore, Alec Pierce, Velus Jones, and Tyquan Thornton. 4.41 is my cut off as both Beane and McDermott has been preaching needing speed. One of those guys needs to be a Buffalo Bill, even if it's just Jones or Thornton late. Idk enough about Danny Gray to add him to the list. I'd make an exception for Jameson Williams though bc I think he's a next level WR.
  6. They didn't utilize him at WR all season long. Not even when they had injuries. Two high safeties had nothing to do with it. They obviously didn't like what they saw in practice.
  7. You're right. He has freakish speed. And he lasted until the 6th Round. What does that tell you? We needed speed and someone to stretch the field last season and they didn't use him. Even when we had injuries at WR. What does that tell you? Maybe he'll stay on as the 6th or 7th WR. MAYBE. But it's insane to think he's going to be a contributor.
  8. I had hopes for him. But we needed speed last season and the coaches didn't use him, which speaks volumes. And when he got his shot at being the return man, he showed a proclivity for putting the ball on the ground. Both he and Hodgins were end of the draft picks that have shown nothing. They aren't people you count on.
  9. Loved this one. Just did 6 Rounds. 25 and 130 traded for 39 and 48. Totally unrealistic that it would fall this perfectly. But I would be doing backflips if it did.
  10. You're going to be disappointed. He's either going to be extended this offseason or they'll wait until next offseason to make the decision. They aren't trading him and they aren't drafting his replacement this season. Beane has outwardly said he disagrees with his detractors and McDermott has never wavered his faith in him.
  11. He for sure has value. That's why a team would want to trade for him. I was looking at guys who have value, but won't kill us to lose. We have our starting DE's locked up for at least the next 3 seasons in Von Miller and Greg Rousseau. In my opinion, I'd sooner let go of Epenesa than Basham. To me, Basham was more impressive in college than Epenesa. And while Basham underachieved a bit, it was his Rookie year. I feel he has more room to learn and grow than Epenesa does. His two seasons have not impressed me and I've seen very little growth. His lack of impact and growth is why we had to go out and get Von Miller. I feel we can get his production from Basham, Shaq Lawson, or a mid round pick. If packaging Epenesa will make a trade up happen, I'd have no problem doing it.
  12. You're beating a dead horse at this point. Arm length is not the be all, end all when it comes to being a baller. You yourself pointed out that we took Ed Oliver because his on field play outweighed his less than ideal measurements. Is it less than ideal? Yes. But Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson's size were also less than ideal. McDuffie's very good vertical makes up for some of that length on reach. And his very good football IQ and lock down production, not allowing a TD in his final two seasons in College cannot be completely undermined simply because his arms are a whole quarter inch under 30. Beane would not have met with him and scouted him as hard as he has if he was off the Draft board like you're determined to make him. You're entitled to your opinion. But you are in the extreme minority.
  13. I almost expect Beane to move up. We're kind of in no man's land when it comes to landing one of the top 4 CB's or top 4 WR's. Maybe one of them falls, but it doesn't look good and I don't expect Beane to sit there and risk losing out on a guy he sees as a difference maker. But as I said in a previous post, I wouldn't be looking at starters when it comes to veterans being packaged with picks. He'd just be creating a hole and then needing to fill it, on top of our other holes at that point. I'd expect we're talking about guys like Zack Moss, AJ Epenesa, or Cody Ford. Guys who teams may have liked coming out of college and think they could benefit from a change in system.
  14. No starters. If a team wants a Zack Moss, AJ Epenesa, or a Cody Ford to sweeten the pot, sure, go nuts. But I don't like the idea of creating extra holes and unnecessarily messing with the continuity of our starting units as part of a trade up for guys who aren't sure things.
  15. You just mentioned a guy we took that didn't have perfect measurements. I'm not saying it's not a factor. But I am saying it's not the be all end all. His fit in the system, his production, and his IQ also matter. His arms a little short, but he also has a very good vertical, which makes up for some of the length. And again, if he was someone who wasn't on their board bc of the measurements, I don't think they'd have met with him at the Combine and the Pro Day. And I'd expect you'll see him come in on a Pre-Draft visit as well.
  16. What did you give up to get 16? Looks like you still have a complete draft here. Like both Williams and Christian. But both of them back to back before drafting a CB? Idk about that.
  17. I don't think you completely discount football IQ and what you see on tape over measurements. Especially when you consider he had a 38.5 inch vertical leap at yesterday's Pro Day. Which would have ranked 5th highest at the Combine. They have surely been scouting him for a long time. They had to have been well aware of his size prior to the Combine. And they still had a Combine Meeting with him. And after the Combine where his arms were measured, they sent representatives to his Pro Day. Again, I completely disagree with your assessment that he's off their radar because of his 29.75 inch arms. He hasn't done it at the College level. Big ask to expect him to then excel at it in the Pros and come in and start right off the bat. HUGE ask.
  18. Rhodes or Nelson, maybe. But Gilmore isn't happening. Teams with a lot of cap space want him to lower his asking price and we're looking for a bargain. I'd also add James Bradberry isn't happening either. No way we give up more money than we're looking to pay for the role AND a premium draft pick for a guy on a one year deal that we won't extend.
  19. Said this in another post - but holy hell, is this under 30" arms overblown. He is a QUARTER INCH under 30. He's barely over a half inch less than Dane Jackson. You don't pass on a guy who hasn't given up a TD in two years and plays as well as he has because he's a quarter inch under the threshold. Daxton Hill is a Safety, that sometimes plays Nickel. He doesn't play outside. Could he? Maybe. But it's a projection. We don't need a Safety or a Nickel. Those starting positions are covered. Passing on a stud outside Corner because a quarter inch under 30 for a guy who doesn't play the position? Gotta question your logic there.
  20. I don't see it. They have both starting edges secured for at least 3 seasons and have spent a 1st and 2 2nds on Ends the past two seasons. I'd agree that Basham was underwhelming in his first season and Epenesa in his first two. But I don't see them moving on from them as rotational pieces that quickly. They'd be sprinting for the podium for McDuffie as well.
  21. Nor would I. But I would definitely be surprised and opposed to it happening at 25.
  22. With the holes we need to fill, there's no way we take a Safety who will barely see the field with our first pick. Especially not with a Trent McDuffie on the board.
  23. Doesn't surprise me. Probably wanted to get him on a bargain as evidenced by him staying in Minnesota for a year. This is the type of signing I'd expect. A vet with starting experience who can provide a little more coverage for a few games when Tre's out and provide depth and leadership behind our 1st or 2nd round, at a cap friendly price for a season. Big time signings or trades like Stephon Gilmore or James Bradberry is unrealistic. I'd be looking at Joe Haden or Steven Nelson.
  24. Daxton Hill is a Safety that sometimes plays Nickel. He's a projection when it comes to the Outside. We don't need a Safety or a Nickel.
  25. I keep hearing this and I really think it's overblown. His arm length is a quarter of an inch under 30. Dane Jackson is 30 3/8. We're really going to pass on a guy who didn't allow a single TD in the last two years for his arms being a half inch under the ideal range?
