I see no issue with bring him in here if the price is reasonable. I think he has our offer and is shopping around for a better one. If he does not get one, so be it, he'll take ours. We could have A-Train/Brown/draft pick/Shaud and Fred Jackson as RBs. We would have great depth and be flexible.

Here's the comment by Thomas... I can see us spending our 2nd on a guy like Irons and maybe even a 3rd on Leonard from Rutgers. He seems like Marv's type of player, would fill the FB hole, and provide us with a FB that can also carry the ball. I'm not sure if he's a decent receiver or not. Thoughts?

If I owned a media outlet, I would have published them. Hired myself a few armed guards with military experience and bring it on!! At least this way, we'd know who the real lunatics are in this country. Hell, it may have even helped smoke out a few sleeper cells.

I'm with you there. At the end of the 09 season, people will say we got the better end. But next year will be ugly for us if we don't start strong.

Thats about the way I see it as well. I think is trying to figure out how to get both Patrick Willis and Marshawn Lynch. On the other hand, he may also make a play for Michael Turner, using our second and Baltimore's third. CB, I think Harper from Indy could be the best fit. DT, I can see a draft pick, but personally wish we'd take a look at Marcus Bell. He's a mammoth 1 gap DT who would clog the middle and help stuff the run.

If you plan to pick a RB in the 2nd round, would you rather have Turner or say, Bush (or one of the other potentially available 2nd round RBs)? Tough to say, but if the answer is Turner, then offer SD a 2nd rounder for him. Maybe they take it and away we go. If they want an xtra sweetner, throw in the Ravens 08 3rd rounder. Anything more and we risk overpaying. Also, Marv did say we would be interested in a couple of restricted free agents. I wonder?

I think we'll end up with 2 1sts, one for Patrick Willis and one for Marshawn Lynch. Marv will get back in the 1st.
