  1. Except for the whole Mayflower, midnight run outta Baltimore thing right? How'd you feel if ol Ralph did that to us? It sickens me that the Benedict Arnolds of the NFL...the Modells and the Irsays, have held the Super Bowl trophy.
  2. Great, so if Buddy is correct, then meathead sent our starting LG and our Strength and Considitioning Guru to the Bears. What a fugged up era in Bills history.
  3. Way I see it, JP showed significant progress from Game 1 to Game 16. He was a totally different QB, and yes, he was consistent. Grossman was all over the board.
  4. BUt I think Flutie would have given Chicago a better chance to win!!
  5. Oh my, you guys are absolutely right!! How could I have been so blind, if we had just made Reich the starter, we would have won 4 or more Super Bowls. How collosally stupid of me to overlook the fact that Jim Kelly is to be chiefly blamed for our Super Bowl failures.
  6. I agree. He's a very good special teamer and is really a LB in name only, much like Mario Haggan. We want our special teams to stay dominant, we we have to pay those guys too. Much like the folks who want Sam Aiken or Josh Stamer cut...they are very good special teams players.
  7. And you know that Kelly gave less than 100% on the field how?
  8. Then don't. Why? These guys are entertainers, not role models. Anyone who sees differently needs to have their priorities re-examined. Which is? Jim was totally dedicated to the team and his on-field performance. Off the field is...sorry, none of your business. You may want to know, due to idle celeb-worship, but it is truly none of your business.
  9. Again, back to my point...rot in hell TD, I wish we still had Rueben and Phat Pat. No way they ever wear another uniform if Levy was the GM at the time.
  10. Da Bears 125 Colt 7 Seriously, Bears take a page from our playbook against Indy and limit Manning's possessions. Run, run, run all day. Bears 21 Colts 17.
  11. Its only for the old guys, who get virtually no pension, have no medical benefits and who are breaking down both physically and mentally. They're the reason the NFL is a billion dollar industry and the league has neglected them.
  12. Gotcha...would that be in Charlottesville? Prettiest college campus in the country, bar none.
  13. Just bumping this... a signed Marv Levy football and Joe D's Electric COmpany bracelet are whats available. http://auction.steinersports.com/cgi-bin/n...CategoryDisplay
  14. Huh?? I must be missing something here. Professor?
  15. The good benefits... 1- 401k Match - 4% match on 401k, 2% discretionary (have matched discretionary every year I've been here). 2- Life Insurance - They give us life insurance equal to 6x's our salary, plus an extra $500k if your death is accidental. 3- Education Payments - They pay for my Continuing Legal Education courses and my State Bar Membership 4- Disability - Will pay me 50% of my salary tax free if I go out on long term disability. 5 - Flex Time - We have the ability to take a free flex day every other week, as long as we worked the requisite 8 hours in the preceding 9 work days. Basically I have every other Friday off for free. 6 - Car Service - This is a must in NYC. After 9 PM, free car service home. The bad benefits (more of what I don't have, I never want to call something a "bad" benefit, I may not use it, because someone else may)... 1- Life Insurance - Can't get the same 6x my salary deal on my wife. Only can take 25k on her. 2- Gym membership - I really wish we had this. 3- Corporate Events - At my company it may be a bit of a conflict of interest, but perks such as Yankee Tickets or the ability to use an area country club once a summer would be nice. I never heard the fly your spouse on a business trip thing, thats pretty cool.
  16. LG and NT have been problem areas for our team for years. Since Satan Donahoe let Rueben Brown and Pat Williams leave, saying they were both done. This year, both Rueben and Fat Pat go to the Pro Bowl. And Pat should have made it last year as well. Both guys live in Buffalo (still), are respected locker room guys, are playing at a high level at obvious need positions for us, and yet Satan Donahoe's hubris was so great that he let both go, because they weren't "his" players. If these holes are not filled this offseason, that will have been 4 years for NT and 6 years for LG, that we have been desperately trying to fill these holes. Talk about setting a franchise back...Hey Donahoe... you!!!
  17. I recently ordered The Devil wears Prada. Suprisingly decent.
  18. I couldn't agree with you more. Health insurance for the game's greats doesn't seem like too much to ask. Nor is a reasonable pension to ensure a modest standard of living. $158 or whatever it was is downright insulting.
  19. Just an FYI, Kelly takes all the blame for the loss in XXV. He called all the plays, foolishly tried to air it out aginst the nickel and dime. He readily admits this in one the all time great Bills books, Vic Carucci's The 1990 Buffalo Bills and the Almost Dream Season Carucci's Book If you haven't read it, I suggest you do. Its a very good read.
  20. But MLB is one position where rooks have stepped in, started immediately and made a big impact. Urlacher, Lewis, Vilma, Z. Thomas, Lofa Tatupu are all examples of MLBs that made huge impacts on their teams as rooks. The success rate may be close to RB in terms of immediate impact. If Willis is the pick, I suspect he will be a huge upgrade in run D from Fltecher, but a downgrade in pass D, at least at first. With Simpson and Whitner have a year of experience in the system, I think Willis will be used closer to the line of scrimmage than Fletcher last year.
  21. Holy weapons of mass destruction Batman!!
  22. Hence the reason I am advocating an all out push to sign FA DT Terdell Sands. He's a massive, space eating, lane clogging DT who's young and who could help our run D immediately.
  23. Second to that one. I'll say a prayer.
