Promise to Nate Clements not to be tagged again
bills_fan replied to TDRupp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm hoping that was a two-way promise by Marv & Nate... Marv: I promise you won't be tagged if you sign a fair LT deal. Nate: I'll sign the LT deal if its fair & the team is headed in the right direction. -
Why do I picture the scene in major league 2, when the whole team was waving bags of marbles at Cerrano?

vs. Jax... Attack with the pass. Have JP throw some slants and screens to open up the middle for the run game, run Thomas a bit to keep them hionest, and look for the home run to Evans often. vs. SD... Dust off the Indy game plan. Thomas gets 30 carries. Keep the SD offense off the field. Let JP take a couple of end zone shots (unlike Indy) when we get close. Hope for a blizzard. Before the season I thought this was one of the 3 toughest games on our schedule, and I would not be pissed if we lost, just keep it respectable. -
I just can't get Sunday's game outta my head! What a fantastic game for JP and I really hope he builds on it. As I said after the Jet game, I think we found a QB!!

Nate has been an absolute monster the last month or so. Maybe it did have to do with adjusting to the new D scheme. Thats said, both Nate and Fletcher need to be re-signed. My question is what about the franchise tag. I know they "said" they would not franchise Nate, but I'd rather do it anyway than risk losing him for nothing. Would that violate the CBA in any way?

Self-censorship in the press

This should be required reading for ANYONE even considering voting for her for President. Good God! First, George Stephenopolus makes his points, saliently and without emotion, saying it will take all our resources, all our political capital etc. Then she responds, "you never believed in us?" WTF does that have to do with anything he was saying? Outta left field there. I feel like I'm talking to my wife reading that..."Remember that time 5 years ago you went Vegas for a bachelor party..." Then, she loses complete control of her emotions. Snaps back to first-B word-mode and says to George, you can just leave if you don't believe in us. How does that address any of the substantive issues he raised. Fuggin ridiculous. Anyone who votes for this one for President ought to become a permanent card-carrying member of retardia and be banished to the land of the galactically stupid for life. They should simply forfeit their right to vote. Hillary for President, my fuggin' God. And this emotionally stable individual may have the football. -

You are correct in your assessment for the basis of certain anti smoking laws. However, this particular law goes even further in that I would not be permitted to smoke while driving through this particular city in my own Jeep. Thus, it does not follow the previous basis. Secondly the fast food and cholesterol of which you speak does not enter your body, but you will be paying for it in the long term through increased health care costs for those who choose to consume the fast food on a near daily basis.

Furthermore, most if not all, Catholic and religious-affiliated parochial schools have work-study type programs for those unable to afford to pay the cost of tuition. Most of these programs are need based and are in the form of lower tution (grant). The students take after school type jobs at the school, "working" for a couple of hours. In return, they receive lower or fully paid tuition. Noone, to my knowledge, is denied a catholic school education due solely to financial means.

And when I'm driving in my Jeep, exactly how are you affected by my smoking????

I agree with not overcrowding the classroom and having more individualized attention. But, let me ask you something...if you have 300 students to 30 teachers, you have 10 to 1 as a ratio, same as 3000 students and 300 teachers. Limit class sizes to 20 students. You'd need to have several classrooms teaching the same subject, but if you have the faculty, so what. The voucher system I'm advocating would be in lieu of the taxes you pay to support the local public school. To attend a religious school, you pay twice, your local taxes and tuition. If you advocate bringing religious schools into the voucher system (I'd love it, personally) then you open an entirely different can of worms.

Is it time to sever all ties to TD era by

Because we liked what our teams used to wear and don't really see the need to change it. Thats what these morons don't understand. -
A similar article ran in the NY Post today. I question its veracity. The premise of the article is that Medicaid still paid out claims after the person died. It did not say that new claims were submitted post-death (except with regard sto the nursing home example in the article). Yes, it is possible for Medicaid to pay claims to a provider after death, paperwork submission and repayment takes time. Yes, there is fraud (as with the nursing home portion), but I am very skeptical of that article. Article... http://www.nypost.com/seven/11162006/news/...rrespondent.htm

Steinbach & Diehl would be a nice set of Guards. The tackles are a bit thin, unless you go for Starks.

SurveyUSA released the results of the first 50 state 2008 poll. By a 50 state poll, I mean that all 50 states were surveyed individually and for almost all of the GOP and Dem field. For example, you can select Hillary vs. Newt and see the results of the matchup in all 50 states. It's a fun tool. Yes, Rudy dominates the field. Hillary gets trounced by either McCain or Giuliani. The interesting one is McCain v. Edwards, pretty damn close. Have fun... http://www.surveyusa.com/homecv.aspx

Take a walk through any brokerage firm trading floor. The majority of American people who are traders would disagree with you.
