I don't see many Bills games, but with what I've seen, I agree with your comments, Bill. There are clubs that put a premium on a tight ends' pass skills - there are those that do not. I remember the drumbeat here by some, for Vernon Davis. The acrimonious noise about moving up to draft him, the vilification flung towards the front office with his performance to date, would have been deafening.

I think the NFL attenuates crowd noise. They seem to minimize pans of the crowd - empty seats are bad for the image. In some early '70's late game...the HOU Oilers HC Bill Petersen, left the bench as his club was being smashed senseless and went up into the empty bleachers. The camera found him, he somehow knew it, and flashed the bird. One of the tv announcers said "Well, that's one fan's opinion"

Good post. Players like Bush add excitement to the NFL. I think most every club would like one of these versatile RBs on their roster, arguments about where he's selected in the draft aside. I'm a big fan of having a RB on the roster with very good pass catch skills. Especially when you're going with a rookie, or inexperienced QB.
